Fantastic experience: If youre interested in knowing if Hector Perez is a decent HUMAN, not just a realtor, then please read. My parents were looking to move closer to me in Wayne. They currently own a home in Nutley. My realtor unfortunately moved so being the daughter of an old school, immigrant, Hispanic couple, the job was mine. I read so many reviews, landed on Hector & never looked back. On paper he checked all the boxes. Bilingual, young, successful, and local. I reached out and was shocked. Not only that I got such an immediate response but that it was him and not just a representative. I wanted HIM. Now this is mostly a personal preference but the fact that he was willing to text was HUGE for me. I explained my situation and he was incredibly understanding and more than willing to work with ME even though all the footwork was for my parents. Then suddenly, my mother started to not feel well. And the search was off. Just like that! And he never pushed. Never tried to convince me of ANYTHING. Period. He was conciderate and understanding. Then we found out my mother has cancer. Within a week of finding out I was texting Hector again telling him the search is back on but its an EMERGENCY SITUATION. This needs to happen FAST. All the criteria is changing because this is now such an urgent matter, needing to move my mother before treatment. He didnt even blink. He immediately sent me everything we needed and even called me to tell me about some findings about the cancer and tips/opinions/research. I mean cmonnn!!! Also, (& this ones a biggie) my father...he is very typical, old school, Hispanic dad. He is strong, independent, hard headed, never wrong, and sometimes difficult lol. Hector was like "pshhhh been there! Dont worry about a thing!" My father was hell bent on renting their house instead of selling. And i knew it was a bad idea. Theyre in their late 70s, my mom has cancer and my dad still works full time. I didnt want the nightmare stories about tenants not paying or destroying their home, landlord duties & repairs, to ever be their life. To please my father Hector was smart enough to suggest putting it up for sale AND for rent. He also made a few great points and before the conversation was over, Hector helped my father come to the conclusion on his own I've made a few mistakes along the way. Like looking up places on Zillow, getting overwhelmed with everything on my plate and wanting to quit, and often getting frustrated with my dad, plus my parents needing a lot of coaching with technology & paperwork. And hes been so kind and has never been impatient with us. Everytime we talk it feels like im venting to a friend. Just a great guy all around. This has all happened so fast, literally 2 weeks maybe, so we havent even found a house for my parents, or sold their home. But I just had to come and leave a review. If youre still reading this, thank you. In just a couple of months this man has been a realtor, a friend and a teacher. Thank you to Hector & his team from my parents and especially me.

Fantastic experience: Not all realtors are alike. Hector Perez really saved the day for me. Recently I had to find an apartment quickly due to my landlord renovating the property where I was living. Before contacting Hector, I looked at an apartment with another realtor. Previously this apartment had been occupied by the owner, who was now trying to rent out the unit. The unit had large, unattractive built-in units, including in the master bedroom. When I told the realtor that my oversized bedroom furniture would not fit into the bedroom, her comment was, "look how nice the bathroom is." REALLY? So my furniture won't fit in the bedroom, but the realtor is praising the bathroom. How deaf of her to not care about my needs, but instead, her trying to sell me on the apartment, despite my furniture not fitting, to earn her commission. I quickly realized that I would not be looking at any more properties with this realtor. Fast forward to me contacting Hector Perez. Hector showed a beautiful apartment (which I ended up taking). But not only did he show me this unit, he asked for my budget, preferred living areas, and came up with other listings as well so that I could have choices. This was done within 24 hours. It isn't complicated. Give the client what they are asking for. He was thorough and professional and did what was best for the client, not for his wallet. I would highly recommend using Hector Perez, whether you're renting, buying or selling.

Of course, experiences can vary on that front, but I felt confident that Hector did more than most realtors in getting our home sold. A lot of the real estate process is confusing or overwhelming for the average person, but Hector is genuinely happy to explain every part of the process so that you have an understanding as well. When we encountered problems with our buyer, Hector fought tooth and nail and used all of his experience and knowledge to get us through any issues that came up and saw us to the other end. It was an absolute pleasure working with Hector and his team and if we ever need a realtor again (which I pray I don’t, buying and selling at the same time sucked, despite Hector being fantastic throughout the process, I now plan to die in the home we purchased) I would contact him in a heartbeat.
