They answered ALL of my questions within a fast, timely manner (and I had a lot of questions), the application process was smooth with a fast approval. Maintenance is also quick and follows up to make sure any reported issues are resolved. My family and I are very happy to be in this property with such a great property management group.

Fantastic experience: We recently moved to the area and selected a rental with Southwest Mountain Realty. We had some unique circumstances and a very tight widow to have everything completed. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Very simple application process and everyone was more than willing to answer our questions. The lease was completed within a few days. No surprises, house was exactly as pictured. Had minor maintenance issues right after move in and they were quick to resolve the issues. We loved our previous property management and I'm confident the same will be true with Southwest Mountain Realty.

Negative experience: This property management company is the worst. Veronica Despain thinks she doesn't have to answer to Nobody since she says she her own boss. She is so unprofessional. She also brings her kids to work when i was moving into the property and her kid took a crap in the toilet even though the water wasn't turned on yet so it couldn't be flushed. Bringing your kid to work is so unprofessional. She needs a class on professionalize. Taylor walfert is unprofessional too and has no back bone if you complain to her about anything she pretty much sides with the reality company and will not take care of anything. They constantly violate you for everything, so you have to pay a fine. Now they will probably write in response that this is untrue but i have written documents between me and them on how unprofessional they are. Don't rent from this company because there a nightmare who will fine you and lie about things so they can charge you for it. they never inspect nothing. Reply...that property is your guys damages like I said in my previous review you don't inspect nothing and expect people to pay for things they didnt do.. as you can tell they don't deny my claims and try to charge you for there trash properties. Thanks for proving my point. You can hold your breath while waiting for my call

Fantastic experience: I’ve had nothing except great encounters with the SWMR team. I think it’s amazing that thier team is made up entirely of women and personally, they’ve always made me feel like family. They always seem to truly care about issues that I’ve brought up and get them resolved quickly and efficiently. They’ve worked with me through difficult times and I couldn’t be more grateful to them. They respond quickly and if I have ever had to go to the physical office, I’m always greeted with smiles. They are a smaller company that’s very professional yet, personable. I highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I used this company for five years. It was the longest I ever lived in one place with my Family and they helped me out when the rush was on and I needed a place to stay yesterday. They always treated me like I was somebody special to work with. I thank you for your professionalism and the wonderful girls in your office that assisted me when I called. Those girls in the office are so friendly and nice. I miss working with them and Lindsey the owner is always on top of things. Negative experience: I had to give one star rating to do the review, but if I could, I would give them zero stars. This business managed a property of mine for two years. The owner of the business never ever went to the property and inspected it during the lease period. The last tenant they moved out in December the house was a complete disaster inside and outside. They never inspected the home one time during the 12 month lease. Then at the end of the lease, I find out that they gave my dryer and washer away to the previous tenants. Then they lied and said that there wasn’t a washer and dryer in that property. Avoid this realtor and property management company at all cost. They have no idea what they’re doing or how to run a real estate business.

Fantastic experience: I am an absentee landlord living in CA and own 3 properties in AZ, in Queen Creek and Gilbert. I've been using SWMR since 2006! when I first was referred to Lindsey. So at this point they're almost like family. I'm only writing this review now because I'm dealing with an eviction on one of my properties in Los Angeles and I wish I had their property management services. They are always so professional and quickly take care of any issues with my properties. Not only that, they manage all subcontractors and quickly rent out after turnovers. I think the best aspect of them is their transparency when it comes to renters and desired rents. They will tell me what I don't want to hear sometimes and over the years, I've learned that they are usually right. They will ultimately do whatever you want, but they will not sugar coat anything and pass you along. And because of this, I've ended up with minimum vacancies and great long term tenants. I can't recommend them enough. I just wished they managed my properties in CA

Fantastic experience: Lindsey has been awesome for my wife and I. We are current renters, soon to be moving out of the Ayrshire Trl home. As we are now relocating out of state. If you're looking for homes for rent. Contact SMR . The rent process was seamlessly easy. They really do take care of their tenants. Our refrigerator went out last summer and not even three days later lowes was at our front door with a new one. Sad to leave this house. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I was a renter with Southwest Mountain Realty for 8 years. I was always on time with my rent. I always made sure everything was taken care of. I had the agent even come out and do a renters check to ensure I was taking good care of the house. Her response was, “ This is one of the best homes I have been in. You take very good care of the home and keep it clean.” When I moved in there was a few items I was concerned about. I did write my concerns down. I also did send in request with the portal to have items fixed due to regular were and tear of the home. When I moved out I cleaned the house. Everything was washed with soap, water and well as bleach. Floors were mopped and all bathrooms cleaned. I also had added bedroom lights in all the bedrooms due to not having any when I moved in. I also added additional shelves in all the bedrooms and the pantry. I did not shampoo the carpets due to them being over 15 years old and nails coming thru the entrance to each room. The carpet I cleaned monthly with my own personal carpet cleaner. The carpet needed to be replaced due to it being so old. I moved out and got a bill for over $1300 worth of items they claim I have to pay for. This agency has been a joke. Not a professional company at all, I have dealt with at least 5 different manager. To me it looks like they are not able to keep a steady staff. If you look at the reviews it is from renters who are 3-9 months in. I rented from them for 8 years and it was a pain and they were extremely rude! During COViD they increased the rent even when it was advised not to. I would not rent from them.

Fantastic experience: Lindsay was such an amazing help with helping me find a beautiful home exactly what I needed for me and my daughter. Couldn’t have asked for anything more or less from her and the company she works for. Thank you guys so much me and my daughter have been living here now for a couple of months and had to come back to reflect on Lindsay and Southwest Mountain Realty thanks again guys!

Fantastic experience: I’m giving a shout out to Lindsay ! Every time I have called with an issue whether she answer your not she gets back with me promptly and when my AC broke, I called her about 3 to 5 times in one day and she responded to each one of those phone calls and was friendly each time. I can’t say how much I really appreciate this customer service !

Negative experience: The management company seems to play games with your rental money orders sent through mail. If you would like tenants to move out give them a reasonable timely notice to vacate before doing unlawful things like rejecting their payments claiming you did not recieve them... But after late fees & paying for a stop payment from western union etc Southwest Mountain Realty post the money orders. Which accumulated more fees of the return checks... This is extremely unprofessional and is not tenant friendly.... Happens every time we put a work order in for the pool, the trees etc

Negative experience: Caveat to the one star: Taylor was wonderful. We had a really difficult time getting prompt attention to really serious problems at our rental, including a rat infestation. The move out process was painful and staff was not in communication with us in a timely manner. I would never recommend a tenant rent from this agency, nor would I recommend an owner manage their properties through this business. Edited review relating to the response, correcting the untruths: We didn't have a citrus tree in the backyard. There weren't two rats, there were a total of five. I lived the moveout process, you did not. I wished to be present for the walk through and the date/times were changed for it twice, requiring me to adjust my work schedule. You did not walk the home within 24 hours. You, in fact did adjust the move out fees because it included items that were improper.

Fantastic experience: We’ve rented for the last years and can’t say enough great things about the whole team! On our move in day, bringing out first load over we walked in to the whole house being flooded. Water had been turned on and previous tenant left water behind fridge open/disconnected. Within 1 hour maintenance on site, 2 companies to help dry and repair. Last night out A/C capacitor went out. Even on a Sunday morning I received multiple calls/texts and the unit is back up and cooling down within 4 hours of making contact. SWMR makes up a great team and I recommend their services all the Way! Thanks again guys!

Negative experience: I have been trying to reach Taylor the listing agent on a property that I am interested in for 3 days, multiple calls(no answer) email and texts. Finally after 3 days I got a text with a lock box code. Drove to the house tried the code multiple times and it doesn't work. Called the agent twice while I was trying to get into the property as well as text her and got no answer. Thank you guys for wasting my time and gas.Very unprofessional!!! how are you a company managing rental house with people working for you that do not respond back to potential renters.

Negative experience: I currently rent a property through the property management. This has been the worst rental experience I have ever endured. The rental has a pool that was poorly managed with chronic mold rendering it not safe to use for the entire summer months. Each inquiry I made to the property management about needed repairs were responded with "I will speak to the owner" and ultimately not resolved. There are great property management companies in the east valley and unfortunately this is not one of them!

Negative experience: When I first contacted the company they were very nice to me and they seem like they wanted to get me into a home. However through the application process after a week we were no closer to knowing if we were going to be able to rent they ask very many questions such as my medical history and then we decided to go another way with a different property after being approved in two days Penny one of their Realtors was very short with me and very rude do not use this company to find a property I cannot speak on how they manage but if it's anything like when they try and get you when it's probably not worth it

Negative experience: I started emailing, calling and texting Teresa Keller immed after a property was posted. Teresa would Not contact me back. So after several days, I went ahead and filled out the app. Right after that, I got a call from Teresa. She was one of the rudest people I've Ever talked to. She told me that they do not return calls or emails on properties that are rented or have multiple apps already turned in. She stated that the property I was interested in was "rented" almost immed after it was listed. And she stated that it was very stupid of me to fill out an app without speaking to someone first. How is a person supposed to know the status if the agent won't return messages or update the listing? Teresa's attitude was awful and she was abrupt and clearly "put out" having to speak to me. Then after speaking on the phone, she sends me an email re: app refund. In the email she is as nice and polite as can be because she sent a copy of that communication to the property owner too! Not a business that I would recommend.

Negative experience: Very Rude People! They do not return messages on rentals and are very slow to update rented properties.
