Negative experience: One star is a bit too much. I was with my granddaughter when she moved into her condo and I will mention only a few of the issues I personally witnessed or addressed. The ceiling fixture in the half bath was missing and I replaced it. I cleaned up 2 to 3 inches of soot and ash out of the fireplace. The dishwasher had standing water in it that smelled like sewage and the kitchen sink was clogged. I unclogged the kitchen sink multiple times before my granddaughter was charged $400+ when a plumber was called. When I went to change the HVAC filter, there was no filter, so I had to measure the hole in order to put a filter in. The ceiling fan in the 3rd bedroom fell a couple of days before she moved out simply by pulling the chain, but the light was still working. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilets had buildup of urine on them. It was so bad, I had to replace all three toilet seats. I purchased and replaced the locks because she was given one key and it didn’t work on the garage door or the back door. She had the carpet cleaned when she moved in and again before she moved out. If these people consider the few things I have listed as having the unit professionally cleaned, they are kidding themselves.

Fantastic experience: Such a pleasure to rent from!

Negative experience: Worst experience over the 3 years we were there. They are money hungry and expect tenants to do everything and I mean everything. They also keep your entire deposit and then state you still owe balance. We kept the property maintained and the house clean but apparently they expect perfection. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Negative experience: They don't want to bother with the properties. They don't want to do anything to fix or clean it! If I was a home owner I would definitely not want them in charge of your house! Do what's right! Give people back their security deposits!

Negative experience: Doesn't take care of their property or their tenants. Do not rent from them! They will keep trying to find ways to charge you. Be aware.

Negative experience: Melissa Pettis is very unprofessional and rude. I asked for a listing to be removed from the available properties listing since Melissa said it was leased. Her response was less than professional.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't be happier. Melba, Jody, and Melissa are all easy to work with. They found a new tenant very quickly and made sure everything was in order before the move in. They are all respectful and polite. This is my first time ever giving a review for any company. They deserved the 5 stars.

Negative experience: I would NOT waist my time renting from this property management! You will be DISAPPOINTED!!! It doesn't matter if someone else caused a water leak. It is UNACCEPTABLE to be living in a unit with MOLD! The fact that we have reported it multiple times and nothing has been done over 2 month! We are told it an insurance claim or the owner above has to fix it. Again having to wait is unacceptable and careless!!! They just want your money! On top of having a water heater issue as well. They are cheap!! Went almost a whole week without hot water!!! Sends a plumber out and the same one at that not just ONCE but TWICE! The plumber couldn't even fix the issue he says ( both times not just the first time) that it is a electrical problem and they will have to send out a electrical... Took them 2 days to do that!! AGAIN they do not care!!! I personally would never rent any property that they have listed ever again!

Negative experience: So disappointed! The unit I rented was advertised as a NO carpet rental. When we arrived the unit had carpet in one bedroom. The carpet was filthy and had not been vacuumed let alone professionally cleaned. The unit in general had not been cleaned at all before move in. Upon moving out & leaving the unit in a much cleaner condition than it was when I moved in, they kept $175 from my deposit for carpet cleaning. Either the prior tenants didn’t clean & lost their deposit which was then pocketed since the unit wasn’t cleaned before my arrival or that type of “clean” was acceptable to them and I was cheated out of all of my deposit. Either way, Beware!

Negative experience: Unprofessional company! I scheduled a viewing for a rental house. I went to my appointment as scheduled and messaged them to let them know that I'm waiting in front of the property. Melissa at the office called back to say it's been already rented. They did not have the courtesy to cancel the appointment in advance. I drove 1 1/2 hr from Pensacola to get there. They did not even bother to apologize for standing me up.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service

Negative experience: Lived in a unit owned by this company for over one year. The keys we were given did not access the front door. The problem was never fixed. Other problems we reported were addressed within a reasonable amount of time. They were fair with returning our security deposit after we moved out, though it took a very long time (more than two months after moving) to receive it, and several calls from my husband. 6 years later, I got a notification email about this review and came back to read it. I still believe it is a very fair review. I do not appreciate that the company response includes personal details that are completely unnecessary (the location of the rental). Further, I am astounded that the company has tried to justify not giving the renters a key to an external door. That is a significant security risk, and easily remedied with a 20$ purchase at Home Depot. And now I find out that we didn't have the keys because somebody else did. Somebody who is NOT the rental company? I'm really glad we weren't robbed or worse. Shame on the company for such a basic thing.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and if I ever need a rental, they are who I will contact them

Negative experience: Recieved a legal threat when my rent was never laye before because I had a returned payment of $150. When I called to explain the payment would be made and that I would have appreciated a call, they screamed and yelled at me over the phone that they didn't need to do that. Poor customer service. I've also still been waiting on a blind for my window since they gave me 1 too few to install in my house. I notified them in May. It's now September. Don't rent through this company and as a landlord, you should reconsider using them as well.

Negative experience: If you want your property ruined top to bottom put it with this company. They are the worst and should be put out of business. They don't have a clue.

Fantastic experience: I refer all of my friends to them. They oversee many properties so when you do your application for them you're not just doing it for one property you're doing it for all of their properties. I was struggling trying to find a place to rent and Ginger was able to help me out right away.

Fantastic experience: We've rented from Ala coastal rentals for over 5 years. The staff is like family and always accommodating and friendly. Ginger and Andrea would always be there to assist us. The property was exactly what we needed and we were sad to leave due to relocation.

Fantastic experience: Rented a house in Summerdale from Alabama coastal rentals for over 4 years, if ever there was a problem in the house it was handled usually the same day..everytime I called people were friendly and helpful . when I bought my own place and had to move,i want to give a special shout out to Andrea and Ginger who helped me through all the loose ends of moving out and I can not thank them enough, they were great......you can not go wrong renting any place from Alabama Coastal Rentals 5 stars plus... A+A+A+A+A+

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend renting through Alabama Coastal Rentals! The ENTIRE staff was not only extremely polite they were also "for the people" so to say. They are not just looking to bring in people and their money, Alabama Coastal Rentals cares about you and your needs. The apartments I lived in were built long ago but you would not be able to tell do to great upkeep. I had no problems with broken appliances or any hidden errors you might find the longer you stay at a residence. When I did have a tiny shower leak they were incredibly helpful and not rude. I think sometimes you can go to a front desk/office and tell the workers your issues and they feel a bit attacked as if it is their fault and this causes them to have an attitude which in turn makes them not as dedicated to resolving your problems. This WAS NEVER the case with Alabama Coastal Rentals, they never took insult to any problems and truly were genuine with assisting you and giving the proper help you might have needed. I am unsure if they are a family run business but they most definitely care about you and your stay with them as your own kin would.

Fantastic experience: Rented from this company for a year. Extremely pleasant experience. Never had any issues and only moved because I needed a smaller/cheaper place. They are very easy to work with! Andrea and Ginger both are super sweet! I saw a lot of negative reviews once I moved in and thought "oh no what have I gotten myself into" but at the end of my lease I found if you pay your rent on time, follow rules, take care of the property, and do things the right way when you move out you will have no issues! Received my full deposit back with no trouble whatsoever! It was a pleasure working with y'all. Thank you!!

The staff was incredibly helpful in helping me to locate a single family home for me and my 2 children and is always pleasant and timely with any issues or concerns that have come up. I couldn't have been more pleased.

They helped find me a home that meets my families needs and if anything ever went wrong they immediately came out to get it fixed. I know they can only do so much with having to get permission from owners before doing anything major, which is understandable. Fantastic experience: My husband and I have had a great experience with Alabama Coastal Rentals, when we were searching for a home, they found us the perfect home for our family. They kept in touch with us until the right home came along. Very friendly staff, Ginger is awesome, very helpful!! I would recommend using Alabama Coastal Rentals to anyone that is looking for the perfect home.

Negative experience: If possible, please do not rent from this company. I rented from this company for two years. There were problems after problems. When I moved in, nothing was cleaned. The carpets were VERY disgustingly dirty. The walls had dirt ALL OVER THEM. The outlets were hanging out of the walls. The counter tops had burnt spots all over when we moved in. A couple of months before we moved out we had issues with termites. It took the company three weeks to get somebody out to take care of it. They were more worried about getting the cheapest price than about take care of the problem. The best advice that I can give you is that if you have to rent from this company, take as MANY pictures AS POSSIBLE of when you move in and when you move out. If not, they will find EVERY LITTLE thing wrong to keep your security deposit. Also when you move out, make sure to get Ginger and Clayton's approval of how the carpets look because if they do not approve of it and you spend the money on getting them cleaned, they will hire their own carpet company (family members) to come and reclean them and charge you out of your security deposit...

Fantastic experience: ACR Manages one of our properties for us. We have never had any issue with them. If there has been any issue, they have always called and got permission for repairs and have used owner funds very conservatively. We are happy with their service and the speed and at which they place qualified renters in our home.

Fantastic experience: My name is Tracy Hidalgo and I have rented from Alabama Coastal Rentals for almost a year. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, we are having to break our Lease 3 months early. I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can honestly say that any issue I had was met with promptness and professionalism. Ginger is awesome and so helpful, as is the entire staff. They have been the best and I would highly recommend anyone looking to lease in Baldwin County to call Alabama Coastal Rentals. If my circumstances happen to change, I will be calling them again! Great homes, great service, and great people. Two thumbs up!!

Fantastic experience: I rent a small apartment from these people in Stockton, AL. We have rented from them for 3 months and they have been very nice and understanding. Few that they are, when a problem has arisen, they were quick to send someone to fix it (even if that problem came up late in the day, it was fixed same day). I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to rent from these guys

Fantastic experience: Great people! Everyone that I have encountered at alabama coastal rentals has been very friendly and straight forward. They showed up on time for the showing of the unit and did so with very short notice. Ginger has been great to work with and we look forward to seeing her everymonth.

Fantastic experience: I've leased property through these guys for about 3 years with zero issues. Any time something fails and needs repair they send a service guy almost immediately. I appreciate they take issues so seriously and respond like they do...I give them a 10 out of 10.

Negative experience: While utilizing the services of Alabama Coastal they spent MY money to repair a major problem. They never sent anyone to do the job correctly. The ceilings were ruined downstairs due to a large leak. The persons they placed in my property were calling me and screaming about the leak. I tried to explain that this is the reason one hires a rental company. Alabama Coastal's work is poor at best. They also make you sign, as part of your contract. that if the property is sold they receive a real estate commission. That is fine if you don't have another realtor you choose to use.

Fantastic experience: I personally rent from Alabama Coastal Rentals. I can honestly say that I have NEVER experienced ANY issues such as the ones described. I recently had a plumbing issue after hours. I contacted the owner and within 10 minutes received a call from the plumber. He (the plumber) was working another call at the time but would call once he was on his way. My issue was resolved VERY professionally and VERY promptly within 1 1/2 hours. I have lived in apartment complexes where they would not have handled this issue until the next day! Our lease is up for renewal this next month. We plan to renew our lease and continue our relationship with Alabama Coastal Rentals as we are VERY pleased with our experience. ------ A side note------ I have never been asked to pay with cash. I pay my rent each month with a personal check.

Negative experience: Zac..... who are you kidding?? I would love to know WHO there is helpful and knows what they are doing?? There is no way you are talking about the same people. Just like all these other people who wrote there experiences...nothing has changed and nobody there cares about helping folks. I would not use them for anything. Makes you wonder why all the money they take up front has to be cash or money order??

Fantastic experience: The staff at Alabama Coastal Rentals, are very helpful, knowledgeable, and personable. Its a small enough business that you are able to deal with the same people each visit, but also large enough to have a great selection of properties to choose from. Overall they are very helpful, quick, concise, and up front about everything. I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them in the future.

Negative experience: These people are a joke!! No one knows what in the hell is going on, they have a red neck woman that smells like train smoke, foul mouth, with a low cut shirt at the front desk , the agent says she doesn't know the answer to any of our questions because she has only been there for a few months.... we go in and talk to the so call "Owner" of the company and he is a complete idiot , dresses like the maintenance man and wants to start talking football with us instead of the issues at hand! Would NOT Recommend this place!
