Natalie came highly recommended by her peers and she lived up to our expectations for timely and knowledgeable action. Everything happened as scheduled to prepare for listing. Communication was excellent and at no time were we left holding the bag (so to speak). Showings were the difficult part with the interest welcome but creating chaos. All contracts were presented and advise on pros and cons given. After the sale the waiting and steps needed for proper closing were handled with great care and all details were presented and discussed with us. We couldn't have asked for a more dedicated and professional representation. We are truly thankful and wish Natalie and her firm a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2025. Negative experience: Chris the realtor will lie to you, lie and lie some more. Avoid these realtors and this company at all cost. They do not care about the buyers one bit and say whatever sounds good at the moment.

Fantastic experience: I listed my home for sale with Natalie Gongloff and couldn't have been more pleased. We had a full price offer in less than 2 weeks and I sold the house for a lot more than I thought possible. Natalie guided me through the entire process. Natalie also had resources for everything that needed to be done; cleaning, repairs, even groundhog removal!! I would recommend her to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about my recent experience with Cathy Spencer, my real estate agent, who sold two properties for us. We had a few bumps along the way, but Cathy got us through each one. Cathy is quite the professional in her line of work. She held my hand while walking me through each phase of getting my mother’s estate properties ready for sale and seeing both through to the end and selling them. She got us the best price on both! She was available 24/7. She answered my concerns and questions (quite a few)! She’s a go getter, and I am so glad we hired her to represent us, the sellers. If you’re new to Martinsville and looking for a home, she’s the best around! She saw it through all the way to closing and then some. She is an expert in knowing the area. She even suggested great repair people in the area who helped me tremendously and saved us money. You won’t go wrong hiring Cathy with The Spencer Group. We developed a great working relationship and I’m really going to miss her now that everything is sold. I’d recommend her highly if looking for real estate.

Negative experience: We were in the apartments on withers rd. The little block apartments. They bought it and raised the rent from 410 to 850. It's a one room apartment with no washer/dryer. They never answer the phone when you try to get them to fix anything and have priced everyone out . They are working on getting rid of the disabled. We don't make enough to stay.

Fantastic experience: Richard Sarver helped me get my first house and everything went well. He was very responsive and comfortable to work with. I'd certainly recommend speaking with him if you're interested in buying.

Negative experience: Honestly not sure. However I have a reason for that answer. They never get back with you, I have made several attempts to speak to them regarding land listed on their site for sale and no one has made an attempt to reach back out. With the experience I have had with them I would recommend another company. Which is honestly fine as their are several in the county and surrounding areas!

Fantastic experience: The Spencer Group has to be the best Real Estate office in our area, staffed with the most caring group of professionals I’ve ever dealt with. I’m pretty sure they never sleep because they answer my plethora of emails seven days a week and all hours of the day or night. Use their services and enjoy the smooth sailing till closing.

Fantastic experience: I’ve worked with Penny Elliot on 3 separate sales and she is always amazing! She makes the process of buying or selling your property easy and convenient. We told her what we were looking for and she didn’t waste our time with properties that didn’t meet our criteria. Penny was always available for questions and worked around our schedule to view listings. Whether you are buying or selling, Penny is a great realtor to work with.

Fantastic experience: Spencer Group has an outstanding staff that conducts business in an extremely effecient and professional manner. Penny Elliott was our contact and we can't say enough great things about Penny. I was only able to give 5 stars because that was all that was available on Google but Penny deserves 10 stars!

Negative experience: Was 'working' with Catherine Thomas, initially on the first phone conversation, she was more than willing to help me in purchasing a certain property. She emailed me the tax maps to the property and that was it.. Never received any further communication from her or the agency after the first email. I attempted multiple emails and finally attempted a phone call. While I got through to her, she immediately told me she had a client pulling up after she recognized it was me and said she would call me right back.. I sent her another follow up email with zero response.. Highly disappointed in the 'service' received here.. For future reference, if your not interested, the just be upfront instead of ghosting your clients..

Negative experience: I used Jane. She wasn't very professional. I always had to make first contact. When I would ask for something she would seem irritated. I would only call once a week and I don't think that is needy. I never even got to look at the whole house cause they never got keys to the basement. I drove 7 hours to look at a house and u can't bother to get keys. Come to find out the owner had them right across the street but was never asked for them. I won't use this company ever again. Not motivated enough.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Richard Sarver to sell my mom's house in less than 2 months. His original advice was spot on; he encouraged me to get the house on the market at the start of the prime spring house buying season, well before I thought I would be able to. His reasoning and encouragement were incredibly helpful, since I was cleaning out, preparing, and selling my mom's house in Martinsville, VA from my home in Maryland. He also provided excellent references to local businesses that helped me complete all the house prep and post-inspection tasks immediately. I cannot think of a better fit for my home selling needs, and I am very grateful for Richard's excellent work, warm personality, and real sensitivity to my situation. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: My realtor, Richard Sarver worked tirelessly to find just right house "home" for my needs. When I grew tired of the effort...he never gave up. A Vietnam Vet's widow using my VA loan benefit thru my husband's service, he guided me to just right lender and patiently thru paperwork. He said he would find me just the right home and he made good on his word. Richard is a hard worker..doesn't give up and above all..someone you can trust in making such a major purchase. I would reach out to him again if need arises...without hesitation. He is a dedicated professional. Spencer Group has a great representative in Richard Sarver!

Positive experience: My husband and I did most of the work looking for places online. They did show us the properties and worked with our schedules. I wish they had tried to be more proactive instead of us always telling them what we wanted to see. Maybe made more suggestions. Not a bad experience. I would use them again!
