Negative experience: I recently bought a home in York, PA and used true advantage Realty. My realtor was Albert. I just wanna say that this organization totally screwed me on my home buying experience. When I had the inspector go through, he noticed water in the electrical panel. So I told Albert that I wanted to bring in my own electrician to see what the problem was. They denied me! Instead, they sent in their own contractor who said he fixed the problem. Not only was I Coerced and pushed towards signing this agreement on the house, but there were several things wrong with the house that they hid from me. Turns out, even though they said, And told me before signing that the problem was fixed with the electrical box, when I moved in the day of signing, there was no air conditioning and no heating. When I brought this up to them They couldn’t be bothered. I had to replace the entire electrical system in my house because of their lies and manipulation. The whole thing cost me $13,800. I feel that this organization is full of fraudsters and I wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot pole!

Your claim that “we couldn’t be bothered” is not accurate. Our records show consistent communication from Albert, including updates from the listing side and even the possibility of the seller contributing toward HVAC costs. At every step, Albert was working on your behalf — he was not part of the seller’s side and did not have access to any more information than you did regarding the home.
Our real estate team, including our Director of Operations, expressed clearly that we were by your side to help facilitate a resolution. That communication continued until July 23, when our Director of Operations sent you an email outlining next steps and options which also included our broker team. After that message, we did not hear back until this review was posted in September.
We stand by Albert and remain committed to supporting clients even when challenges arise. If you would like to come together to work toward a possible resolution rather than assigning blame, we would absolutely be willing to assist in guiding where we are able. That said, false statements create serious liability when they can be directly countered with documented proof, and we encourage keeping all claims factual.

Negative experience: TLDR; the TruAdvantage Team Realtor lost my earnest deposit from not responding to messages for days at a time. I worked with Brett from TruAdvantage Team in York, PA. I had also attempted to work with Sara (Brett’s Supervisor) and Jeff (TruAdvantage CEO). Brett failed to follow up, had provided auspicious service, and failed to give guidance to a home sale which then resulted in a contract termination which will lead to $5000 of earnest money being lost at the fault of the realtor. With no recourse for their employees actions, a failure to act or advise, and the recourse being to sue their other employee and not them- they had the gall to state that their solution was a removal of the brokerage fee for a future purchase and a different realtor. This company has been a horrid example of why you should double-check who you hire and this company should not be trusted. Y’all don’t even get to enjoy my money but y’all won’t have any recourse for it either.

First, all Realtors affiliated with the TruAdvantage Team operate as independent contractors, not employees. Each one runs their own business while being supported by our team’s structure and systems. This point was explained on the call we were on with you today.
Second, we had a mutual conversation on Wednesday, July 16, where a path forward was discussed and agreed upon. During that conversation, you expressed appreciation for how we were stepping up to support you, even stating it spoke volumes about who we are. We were committed to going well beyond our standard brokerage fee of $695 to provide assistance toward your next home and defray hardship expenses.
Sara, who was mentioned, is not a supervisor but our Director of Operations and was working in collaboration with upper management to resolve the situation and provide guidance. Also, there is no individual named Jeff affiliated with our company, which does raise questions about your attention to detail when communicating.
Communication logs show consistent and timely responses throughout the process, and at no point were there days-long gaps in communication. We keep detailed records to ensure transparency and accountability.
We respect that emotions can run high in real estate transactions, especially when things don’t go as planned. However, it’s important that public claims reflect facts. People certainly have the right to change their minds to no longer work through any offering, but altering the narrative after the fact does not reflect the cooperation and good faith we initially experienced.

Negative experience: We got screwed over by Madelyn a realtor with them in 2021 and they have non stop blown up my phone and e-mail since bothering me if I’m ready to buy a new home. We lost 6,000 thanks to their realtor telling us to rush the offer the more the better and if anything came up we’d be able to get out money back… the house was being sold AS IS. we were first time home buyers and didn’t know better. After finding out more information that was kept from us we discovered the house was out of our price range and we had to back out… lost out deposit plus all the extra money we spent on inspections etc. Have not been able to even consider moving since. Yet they constantly bother me reminding me of the loss we went through and the AWFUL experience we had. I’ve sent emails and text messages asking to be removed from their contact list but here we are. I’m still getting emails today.

Fantastic experience: I moved from RedLion PA to Delaware Beach area in Aug 2023. What I look for in a Realtor is availability and dedication. That's why I chose Emillie Albrecht of TruAdvantage. Over the past 18 yrs, Emillie has helped me buy and sell at least 3 houses... maybe more? Emillie is always available, even on her vacation she was answering her phone and answering my questions. Funny thing.... a few Realtors who were showing my house would tell me; "you have a Great Realtor". I'd say "oh, I know". ;-) She is a Great Realtor. She goes above and beyond and never says 'can't'. Emillie will definitely find a way around every obstacle. She and I have had quite a few obstacle's over the years and she always comes through. I wanted to call it quits a few times and Emillie said "we can do this". And we did. My advice to a potential buyer or seller: Who ever choses to go with Emillie Albrecht will not be disappointed. TruAdvantage has a real true gem here. If she had her Delaware license, I would have used her here in DE too.
