Negative experience: Wouldn’t rent from them again. I patched and sanded a few holes in the wall (from hanging things) from me living there for FOUR years and they took over half my security deposit. And when I emailed to inquire why and explain my disappointment, I never heard back. It would’ve costed maybe $10 in paint to cover those up.

Negative experience: I have lived in a property managed by the management for four years. Here are my takeaways. Pros : 1. Prompt Response : they respond promptly to issues such as broken HVAC, water heater etc. (the reason for 2 star instead of 1) Cons : 1. No preemptive maintenance on the property. They do not check for HVAC or anything on the property. They might charge you for it afterwards. 2. Unprofessional staff :: staffs are unprofessional. They would treat you not as a customer, but the other way around. They would think that you have no where else to go except their property. Their emails are very rude. 3. Take all the time that they need to send deposit back at the last minute. + In our case, funnily enough they sent it to their own property. — i mean we are getting the deposit back because we moved out. Overall, i would rent from them only if you were a short term visitor, looking for <= 1 year in the property, and it is the last minute decision. Otherwise, stay away.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with Nitannt Property Management. They unfairly withheld my security deposit without proper explanation or justification. Despite repeated follow-ups, I have recevied 80$ of 755$. They dont wanna talk with me on the phone. . This experience felt dishonest and unprofessional. I would strongly caution others to be very careful before renting through them.

Negative experience: Utilizes bait and switch tactics on certain listings to lure people into useless apartment showings. Lists their apartments as single family homes on purpose to get more clicks, and then says ”read the fine print at the bottom: it says we can’t guarantee the listing is accurate”. and then follows up with the excuse that they don’t have time to accurately list their properties with their staff given the insanely high numbers of properties that they own. And that is a flat out lie because they obviously have the time to waste prospective tenants’ times on properties they’re understandably not even going to want to rent because the photos don’t match the unit, not even by a longshot. They just seemed awfully nervous when I questioned them about why they wouldn’t want to keep things honest.

Fantastic experience: Jeremy and Jordan were both very friendly and helpful as were the rest of the staff inside.

Fantastic experience: Nittany property management was an awesome place to rent from. Every request was dealt with promptly and everyone in the office was super nice and enjoyable to speak with. Would rent from them again everytime!

Fantastic experience: I lived in an NPM townhouse for two years and had a really great experience with them. They were great about taking care of maintenance issues and communicating and the price was reasonable. I never had any issues with the office or maintenance! The only things I’d note were that the property I was in was really old, so just like a lot of rentals in the area it was kind of aging and had bad insulation. With any large company they’re less flexible on their policies and rules, but NPM did work with me on pets so I really appreciated that. Overall, I’d highly recommend renting from them. I doubt you’ll find better value!

Fantastic experience: Perfect maintenance ever !

Fantastic experience: I lived at the W Cherry Ln apartments in the past five years. It is pretty much the best place in my opinion one can find in State College for young scholars. It is quite affordable, very quiet, convenient in terms of grocery shopping, and most importantly, close to campus. The management is very responsive and efficient in maintenance. Mostly I got the maintenance team coming over on the same day. The management officers are very professional and thoughtful. I have received several emails from them reminding of noise complaints, etc. Since the start of the pandemic, our unit has been cleaned and disinfected on a regularly basis. When I moved out, I reached out to Liz, who is on their management team. She quickly responded to me with a detailed subletting and move-out procedures, and followed up with me, and the sublets consistently. With her professionalism, the process went extremely smoothly. However, nothing is perfect. The W Cherry Ln apartments are of a certain age. Although, they do have renovations every once in a while. To summarize, if you are a scholar, and want to live somewhere nice and quiet, so that you can devote yourself to your work, this is THE choice.

Fantastic experience: I have been dealing with Nittany Property Management since June of 2014, and they have been nothing but helpful to me. They are quick to answer my questions and are knowledgeable in all aspects of property management. I would recommend using their services whether you are a renter or an owner. They are a small office and in my opinion, the warmth and professionalism can't be match by anyone around

Fantastic experience: We rented a home for a year while we searched for a house to buy (having relocated from another state). Nittany Property Management was great to work with right from the start. Liz promptly answered all of our questions and the few times that we needed something repaired, they were always responsive in sending someone out right away. They are fair to their tenants and the experience was positive for us from start to finish!

Fantastic experience: The management and maintenance is so very friendly, and oh-so super professional. I really like them. Two words: COURTESY & EFFICIENCY seem to be the trademark of this team (Nittany Property Management). They actually listen and effectively respond to your needs. They respond to your request. They also keep you posted on any work/visit that may concern your apartment, so you are never in the dark. Oh, the maintenance team is a must-love! Yes! They are highly courteous and excellently professional. You can tell they know what they are doing and they do it with so much TLC. And when they come for maintenance, and find something else that need fixing, they fix it, and always working with your schedule. They also have so much respect for your space—and you can tell/feel they actually do respect your home. Yes, such small things do not go unnoticed :~) Their customer service is oh-so excellent! There is something human (yes, I know) about NPM team; all the people that I have interacted with have a great and friendly interpersonal relationship. This is definitely a great team to rent apartment from. Hey, NPM team, keep up the good work! You are already so very blessed to have such a team of courteous and efficient people in one place (that’s a rare occurrence!).

Negative experience: When I want to ask some questions about the rent, the front desk is unpatient and unrespectful to me. She just hang up my phone when I ask the second questions. Do not choose to pay or rent any house in this company. They are so terrible!!!!!!

Negative experience: As others have mentioned, do not expect to get your deposit back. There was no inspection between me and the previous tenant and I was charged for damage that was there when I moved in. Especially during a pandemic, when many are struggling financially, you would expect a company to return your deposit... I have been emailing and calling for three months and have yet to hear back. Do yourself a favor and find a different management company!

Fantastic experience: We rented a townhome at Forest Edge complex from 2016-beginning of 2020. My wife and I really enjoyed our years at this property. NPM overall took good care of us. We primarily felt cared for by Megan and Jeremy. One time our dryer died and they went to bat for us to have the owner replace it not us. We also felt that maintenance was very responsive to come and check on issues. There might have been a few times where I needed to do some calling/emailing to follow up but never felt a reluctance on their end to help us out. We would have no hesitancy recommending renting from them.

Fantastic experience: I rented a townhome with Nittany Property Management for two years. Megan and the team were always very responsive every time we needed any type of maintenance. I would definitely rent again with them.

Negative experience: If I could give them less stars I would! They showed my wife and I a house and promised to reserve it for us. Once we decided that we wanted to rent it from them, we called and informed them. They were at first responsive and said it would be no problem and that they would send us a link shortly to apply. After a 2 hour wait I called them back and they informed me they didn't have the property in the system and would have to get more information from the owner. We waited over the weekend and then I called back on Monday and was told the associate we were working with would call me back. She never did. The same thing then proceeded to happen on Tuesday and Wednesday. Finally on Thursday I was able to get a hold of the associate who had been avoiding me all week and she informed me there was an uncertainty of when the current tenants were moving out and offered to "Follow up with them if I wanted her to." I informed her that yes we need a place to live within 2 weeks or we will be homeless and she said she would get back to me. I even mentioned another property they had that we would be interested in. Here I sit a week later having never heard back from her. We signed another lease with a different company and will never bother working with this joke of a company ever in the future.

Negative experience: Recently reached out to their team looking for a unit and received a response from Jodi. The response was very dry and not very helpful in finding alternatives in their inventory that might have been a good fit (was not even offered additional information on other units).

Negative experience: t is very difficult to get answers from them. As a property owner I do not feel like they care about my business whatsoever. We are currently selling the property and a big reason for that is because I do not have the time or energy to chase this company down every time I need a question answered. I will go weeks trying to get the same question answered. I email, they tell me to call if I don't get a response to email. I call, no one calls me back. It's a round about merry go round and I'm ready to get off of it. Maybe they treat you better if you have multiple units - we just have the one and it is clear they couldn't care less about us. When we first signed with them over 5 years ago, they were great. I have no idea what's happened the last year, but customer service has been awful.

Fantastic experience: I lived at the Golfview apartments for two years before moving across the country, and working with Nittany Property management was the best living experience I had in State College. The management staff are professional and extremely responsive (I especially appreciated working with Megan!). All of my maintenance issues were dealt with quickly and carefully. They were always careful not to let my cat out :) Thanks for everything, NPM!

Fantastic experience: Thinking of placing your State College home for rent, then Nittany Property Management is the best choice. When we thought about moving from State College, we were not ready to sale our home. We contacted Nittany Property Management (NPM) who made it so easy to list our home for rental. The process was so easy that our home rented within a few days from the time it was listed. NPM made living out of state worry-free knowing they were maintaining our property with excellence. They were effective communicators , accurate record keepers, and property owner/tenant oriented. After 5 years of having NPM manage our property, we decided to sell our property. Throughout those 5 years, NPM took phenomenal care of maintaining our property. As much as we loved entrusting our home to them, I highly recommend you using NPM for your home rental.

Fantastic experience: Quick response and maintenance service

Fantastic experience: I have lived in State College for four years and rented a place from four different property management. I found that Nittany property management was the best of all for the following reasons: 1) Location; in walking distance to campus and downtown, and asian market; 2) parking included in the rent; 3) highly responsive maintenance and management. They returned our deposit full 100%. and 4) safe and quiet neighborhood suitable for graduate students, students with family or professionals. But I found electricity bill higher than in my previous places; and it may be because of the baseboard electric heater used in the unit I lived in. Overall, our experience living in the place was awesome! Note: We live in their unit in Golfview avenue

Fantastic experience: They are well behaved. The location is kind of remote to me. But I believe CATA bus goes there. They explained all the rules related to a housing lease and cleared all my confusion. I must say I am satisfied. Lets see if they are like this throughout my stay there.

Negative experience: The most terrible management I ever experienced. I have moved out more than 2 months ago and they simply refused to rerun my security deposit back. I have called their office 10 times and they simply don't give you any answer. RENT IT AT A VERY HIGH RISK and be ready that you may need to get a help from a lawyer for getting your security deposit back!!!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to State College as a professional and had heard stories about difficulty working with rental/property management companies in town. My experience renting a home from Nittany Property Management has been wonderful. They are responsive and easy to work with. The place was clean and well maintained upon move in.

Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I lived at the Golfview property for two years and had a wonderful experience. Our rent and parking was very affordable compared to other complexes in the area and the location was great. Located within walking distance to downtown, it was quiet, but there was a nice mix of graduate students and young professionals. Everyone in the office was very kind and accommodating. We only had a few maintenance requests, but when we did they were taken car of quickly. I also loved the convenience of paying my rent online with no additional fees. Golfview is definitely a hidden gem!
