Fantastic experience: Tara Property Rocks

Negative experience: This company is a joke, playing like they are running a legitimate business. They did no rental verification, and after weeks of calling for an update with their response being "its still pending", they snail mailed a denial letter purposefully wasting my time. I ultimately filed a complaint against them, in which we were advised to include the owner of the home we applied for. The owner ended up removing his home completely off the market because of it and never found a renter. Though the complaint lead to no relief being granted, the point was to speak up or companies like this will continue to think they can operate business in this manner. Fortunately, it worked out for my greater good in the end as I decided to buy outright, was immediately approved by 4 mortgage lenders, and ended up purchasing a home worth more than the rental property they "denied" me for.

I had the pleasure of working with John, who was always available to assist me with my questions and concerns. He worked diligently and professionally to address a myriad of issues with a difficult tenant. I was impressed with his in-depth knowledge of the local real estate market. Finally, during the sale of the property he went above and beyond to get a realistic price for the property and to guide me through the closing process.

Negative experience: I paid a 50 dollar application fee and was not asked to verify my information but was denied and not for a good reason these real estate agencies are the biggest scammers beware.

Fantastic experience: I referred a friend to Debbie Carter, and she listed his home in Fayetteville. She was honest and timely with everything she worked on to get his home sold for the maximum amount. She handled everything promptly and professionally. The sale closed this week, and my friend is thrilled, even though the buyer's agent was not as thorough, Debbie made sure everything was perfect. I will be using Debbie if I decide to sell any of my properties without hesitation.

Jamie is so professional and knows what she is doing. She made the process of selling my house in Jackson, Ga so easy and worry free. She fights for her clients and always has their best interest at the forefront of everything she does.HIGHLY recommend.

Negative experience: I purchased a home just over a year ago and was left unprotected by Associate Broker Ginger Wilson in terms of a roof being replaced on the home prior to purchase. I've had issues with the roof lately and after closer review the roof work was done by a non-licensed/ non-bonded roofer. The roofer's and written receipt shows he was paid $6,660. Ms. Wilson indicated I would be getting a $9,000 roof. So where did the extra $2,340 go? The roofer did not list his business name, business address either. So all I have to go on is a bogus receipt that can be purchased at any dollar store! Now what ETHICAL AGENT would protect a client in this manner? On top of all that, the roofer is related to the listing agent! Ms. Wilson and that listing agent have REFUSED to give any other contact info on the roofer, leaving me with NO WARRANTY! Prior to closing it was also made clear that I wanted tons of trash moved from the back of the home and that a window screen be replaced. Yep, you guessed it...Ms. Wilson did not have those tasks done either. Now you would think after all this, she would at least show up for my closing...nope...she said she got the time mixed up but did meet with me soon after closing and then picked up her check! Ms. Wilson claims she has only missed about 3 closings in 25 years...so why miss mine? Ms. Wilson claims in her 25 years a roof has never been included in a closing...so am I just that lucky or are we looking at illegal kick-backs, tax evasion, insurance fraud and illegal roof work in the state of Georgia? My team is in the process of finding out the truth, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. If you are searching for a home...PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! FYI...BOGUS RECEIPT ATTACHED. ABSOLUTELY SHAMEFUL! L. TAMPLIN

Positive experience: So honestly, the entire time we rented through Tara, we saw our "property manager" about 3 times, on the yearly checks he made to the house when we renewed our lease. For pretty much anything else, he always referred me to the actual owner of the property. After a while. I stopped contacting him at all and just started contacting the owner if we needed anything. When we went to end our lease, he got pretty huffy about the fact that I had let the owners know before him that we were purchasing. He then sort of threatened me several times with court because we were breaking our lease early - which the owners were fine with. We paid fees to get out of the lease, as one who has ever rented property would expect to. It wasn't a bit deal, but he kept saying he didn't want to have to take me to court. Hi? I'm an intelligent, normal human being. I had no intention of skipping out on my lease or not paying the early break fees, or of intentionally leaving owners who had been exceptional to us in any sort of lurch. There's just no need to be so condescending and rude to people who have been good tenants, never late on rent, always tried to resolve issues on our own before involving the owner, etc.

Fantastic experience: Not sure who Mr Boyd is. I never met him on or near the property at 667 Fallview Drive. I certainly didn't own the home and would never make a commitment on behalf of the owner which hadn't been confirmed first. Frankly, Mr Boyd never bothered to contact Tara Properties or myself while the home was under contract for nearly a month! I am certainly an honorable Realtor with an impeccable reputation and over 22 years experience. Instead of trolling on Google, I would welcome a person-to-person conversation with Mr Boyd on the phone or at my office to discuss his concerns. We have certainly never spoken in the past.

Negative experience: John Hewitt is not an HONORABLE MAN. He is aware of the tree is dangerously close to falling on our home, that is wrapped up with vines and looks like it could fall, all are part of it on our home. When his Renters left the House of his at 667 Fallview, I asked him nicely to do something about the tree, and he never has, and now it seems that the House at 667 Fallview is UNDER CONTRACT without him doing anything about the tree. Either John Hewitt or some other man that was with him said that they would do something with the tree and they have not and it appears that the People that have put a contract on the House did not even inspect the yard or trees.

Negative experience: John is terrible to work with. He told us that the owners didn't want to sell but we later found out that they did. Then he told them we trashed the house but I have pictures of us leaving it in perfect condition.

Negative experience: Was promised honor on a home, since I called first and was coming from the other side of town. Took application and fee the next day(again, I live on the opposite side of town-an hour away) so that was another trip only to find out a week later, after me calling to the office, that they took someone else's application ahead of mine. Very disappointed. Now I'm going to have to drive another hour to get my app fee back.

Negative experience: Very disrespectful to occupied home. Less than 2 hours notice to show long time occupied home when agent was aware of the appointment the day before. Very insensitive company when dealing with indavidual privacy. Not recommended, and one star given cause you can't give 0.

Negative experience: I would not recommend any one rent from this company they are a scam when it comes to your deposit. They also are not fast with repairs. My air was messed up I had to keep calling & when they finally sent someone it wasn't even a real company & it wasn't fixed the guy just told us it was suppose to be like that. & I saw that a previous review said they don't check on the tenants. They don't because we never had any one visit our rental home to check on it or anything.

Negative experience: This company is not quick on your repairs only communicates through email which is not convenient They use any excuse to keep over half your deposit. I would not recommend anyone to use this company for renting a home. & also buying one I'm sure they do not let you know all the details because the house I just left the ac had just broke and came pouring water down & I'm sure they didn't fix it and it is for sale also the carpeting only looks clean but deep down the pads are disgusting because I spelled water on it and after it dryed it was a black spot. That is impossible but all they did was make us have the carpet professional cleaned upon moving out where they weren't happy with one spot the re did it supposedly and deducted it out of our deposit.

Negative experience: Do not trust your property to this company. They absolutely do not screen the tenants. I have an property in McDonough and paid this company approx. $700 to screen and find a tenant. They recently approved a tenant to live in my my home that they 100% absolutely did not screen appropriately. I retroactively checked the tenant's references myself, and was appalled by what I got back. The tenant had bad credit and had damaged his previous property. I brought this to one of the managing partners attention, and got a very rude e-mail in response. Clearly, they do not care about their long-term customers and do not care about appropriately screening tenants. DO NOT entrust your home, or investment property to this company. Buyer beware.
