Experiencia fantástica: By the time we were closing our interview with him, Erik Sousa already demonstrated that he was very professional and knowledgeable. We were already leaning toward using him as our real estate agent to sell our home because of the thorough and above and beyond research he did to develop a price at which to place our house on the market. Because of the many improvements we completed on our home, he also shared additional steps we could take with the town in order to validate the price he wanted to set, therefore ensuring that we had a successful final appraisal by the buyer's bank. At the time we met with Erik, we had one more real estate agent to interview. Before he left our meeting, and as he was finishing up his discussion, it came up that I was a teacher before recently retiring. He immediately explained the Homes for Heroes program, in which he is a participant. He offers the equivalent of 5% of his commission back to "Heroes" who are in professions that serve others, such as, firefighters, police officers, health care professionals, and teachers. It was a surprise to me that a program like this existed. It is not something Erik had to offer, but his generosity and sincerity in offering and honoring people in service professions did make me believe he was even more ethical and caring that I thought. Erik being part of Homes for Heroes was not the only reason we chose Erik Sousa as our agent, but his sincerity and caring that he showed by offering this generous gift was a factor that made us appreciate his professionalism even more. Further, choosing Erik was absolutely the best choice we could make. He listed the house as "coming soon," he had suggestions on how to stage the house, and had his amazing photographer take pictures, including drone photos of the area. By the time the house went on the market, he had many appointments already scheduled for the first day, then showed the house to 19 more groups over the 2 weekend days during 2 hour open houses each day. We signed the contract on the third day the house was on the market with multiple offers and for over the asking price he set. The first time we bought a house, we had very little idea what we really wanted. For this reason, we saw 93 houses in person before landing on our purchase. Every single house we went to, Erik showed up with a smile, eager to help. He was beyond accommodating, even taking a break from a graduation party to get our offer in ASAP. We then used him again to list that house and purchase another.
