Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I moved to Roanoke from San Diego back in 2021, we found ourselves every night watching every Hal and Kris video we could find as they did an amazing job educating about the Roanoke valley. We knew immediately when we were ready to buy a house Cone Realty Group were the only realtors we were going to use. We weren’t even clients yet but they always responded back to us and answered any questions we had. Unfortunately we had health issues with our family in 2023 and had to move back to San Diego. The Cone's YouTube channel was instrumental in introducing us to the Roanoke Valley area and after a vacation in the city, we decided we wanted to move here permanently. Their team was super responsive, fast in visiting open houses and submitting video so that we could see the properties we were interested in from our home in Texas, and went above and beyond for us. They supplied a listing of all the local utility companies as well as local contractors, movers, etc. who had received positive reviews from their clients so that we could get well situated prior to our arrival. Hal Cone even responded to a water leak situation we had at our Roanoke home after we closed, but prior to our move-in from Texas. He was at the property within just a few hours of contact to meet the Water Authority on our behalf. They were there every step of the way, answering any questions/issues/concerns that we had during the process. They held our hands and even talked us off a few ledges along the way. It can be a difficult and scary process buying a home while living in another state. But this was seamless with the Cone group. My biggest concern with hiring a realtor was communication and this was impeccable on their part. Will was wonderful about driving all over town, video taping the interior and exterior of house, looking into every nook and cranny, and then sending us the videos shortly afterwards. Judy was on top of everything, emailing us paperwork, receipts and anything else we needed. Linda helped by us making hotel reservations for whenever we came to town & answered any other questions. Hal and Kris talked us through strategies and wrote up offers in the evenings. We felt like every single step was intentional and carefully thought out from their perspective and it showed on our side, as clients. They gave us contacts for contractors, mortgage companies, management companies (we luckily found our home a year before we moved so we have to rent it out until we retire) and any other support we might’ve needed. Hopefully this will be our last home but if we need another realtor, we will only deal with the Cones. We can’t recommend them enough.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't know where to begin. Should I start with the bit where Hal saved my husband and I from financial ruin or the part where he found and secured us our forever home? Either way, Cone Realty played a huge part in helping us to make our dream of homeownership in the Roanoke area a reality. We knew we wanted to move to Virginia, we just didn't know exactly where. Well, both a friend and some family recommended Roanoke and we then found Hal and Kris's YouTube channel. After a few videos, we were hooked on the idea of moving to Roanoke. We didn't contact them until a few months later when we were actually ready to buy and boy did we come in "hot". They took our energy and excitement in stride. We were ready to put an offer in on a great house in Salem - without even having anyone check it out. Hal insisted on going over and touring the property and I am so, so, so grateful. This house needed more repairs than it was worth, we could have gone bankrupt. When we did find our dream home, Hal helped us to write an offer that got us in the door past many other offers (some higher). I would be remiss to exclude the rest of the team at Cone Realty Group -- they are all great -- like a well-oiled machine!! I felt so tended to throughout the entire process. And, we weren't necessarily easy clients as we changed the contract a few times before finally closing. When we arrived at our new home, there was a wonderful care package and a card left by Kris and Hal. It was such a nice touch and also a lifesaver (cups, napkins, plates, cleaning supplies, etc.) as we are kind of way out and it was a week or so before we were able to get around easily without getting lost! At that point we contacted Kris and arranged a Zoon meeting. She was very knowledgeable , patient and not pushy. After processing our needs she provided a plan that included details of the area - where to stay (hooked us up with a great deal at Home2Suites) , neighborhoods to explore (in Roanoke and around the “donut”) and places to eat (great job!) and various area highlights. Then, they went to work. Hal & Kris brought in professional home stagers who gave us suggestions for presenting our home for maximum value. While we fixed, replaced, repaired and decluttered, they employed, writers, photographers, and back-office support -- basically a no-nonsense professional team that helped us get our home ready for sale.
