Experiencia negativa: My experience with Casa Property Management was very disappointing. Communication was poor, and I struggled to get answers regarding charges and repairs made to my property.

Experiencia negativa: We toured two CASA properties and they were so filthy that I couldn’t even set my purse down on a counter. There was plastic garbage left all over the lawn and dead bugs inside, including silverfish. One house reeked of a musty doglike smell the man who did our tour just said “yes, it does smell. I don’t know what that is.” I felt disrespected to have just toured these places, i can’t imagine renting from these slumlords.
Experiencia negativa: I am writing regarding the management of 3300 Huntington Ave during my ten-year residency. After CASA assumed management, my rent increased from $450 to $725 within four months, followed by an October 2024 increase cited for property maintenance that never materialized. Specific instances of negligence include: - Maintenance & Sanitation: The property suffered from persistent cleanliness issues, including non-functional laundry machines and abandoned vehicles. - A/C Failure: My repair requests submitted between June and August 2024 were ignored until I filed a report with the Lincoln city inspector. Technicians only arrived after the inspector's visit, completing the repair after Labor Day. - Water Damage & Mold: Reports of a water heater leak from the unit above me began in September 2024 but were not addressed until February 2025. This delay resulted in the loss of family heirlooms and art supplies due to black mold. Based on these experiences, the management of this property was entirely unsatisfactory.

Experiencia negativa: You guys have a very very poor business you guys do not know how to run a business you guys are money hungry you guys are disrespectful you guys do not finish work that you start your maintenance people do not speak English. Then you want to throw people's belongings in the trash you could do not keep up on your properties you do not clean you do not mow the lawns you guys do not pick up the trash after the yard was mowed you have your tenants picking up the trash or cleaning the hallways to your apartments and you guys don't even reimburse for that how many people are legal in your office. If you guys expect to run a property business you guys should have more experiences on how to manage apartments or any properties

Casa took over and OVER DOUBLED our rent KNOWING we were still healing from a car accident that left both of us unable to walk for months and in turn unable to work. Very Very shady. On top of Im not sure its legal to up someone's rent over 100% wish I had know this when it happened.

Experiencia negativa: This company is an absolute joke. They took over for my landlords property and have violated my lease agreement multiple times they didn't even have a copy of my lease til I brought it to them when they over charged me the first time and now trying to charge me $3,500 for cleaning and damages after moving out. They never saw the condition of the house til after I moved out and it was normal wear and tear besides one cracked window pane and damaged blinds. They never tried to contact me instead sent it to collections over a year later. They will take advantage of you any chance they get. The post office accidentally marked my house and others as abandoned and it sent the gas bill to my landlord and Casa tried to charge me for the gas bill that they never paid. I got my gas back on the same day bc the mistake at no cost switched the charge back to my gas account and they still tried to charge me the next month after the charges were taken off my landlords account.
Experiencia negativa: Maintenance guy in truck pulled out of an alley near members own credit union on 6/2/2025 without looking AT ALL. I had to slam on my breaks to avoid hitting him. Thanks! Had just paid off my vehicle too!

Experiencia negativa: This property management company doesn't even deserve a single star. Everything I've had communication with them, I've been treated like I'm stupid. I was approved for an apartment. I called them this morning to let them know that I had the deposit covered. They received a guarantee letter for $1,500. I still owed $150. I told them as soon as my son was done with surgery in Omaha that I would bring by the $150. So TODAY! I was literally 45min away from being there when they called me to tell me they already rented it out. After already talking to me TWICE this morning about it. Their customer service...SUCKS! Rude. No respect. Lies. I'm glad this happened. Sounds like a dodged a bullet with this POS company.

Experiencia negativa: I have been trying to see a property there since JANUARY it is MARCH. I have contacted them by phone, email, and through zillow and never got a response til this week. I scheduled a tour for today and when I showed up at the property no one was there. I called and they said they rented it out YESTERDAY. They rented out a property we had a scheduled tour for and didn’t even notify us after it took three months to get a response. :((( so so so sad

CHARGED ME FOR DAMAGES FROM ALL THEIR PREVIOUS TENANTS!! THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND WILL SCREW YOU TO DEATH WHEN YOU MOVE OUT. EVEN AFTER 10 YEARS OF LIVING IN THEIR PROPERTY. STAY AWAY. THEY RAISE RENT 2 OR 3 TIMES YEARLY TILL YOU CANT AFFORD TO LIVE THERE AND THEY DO NOTHING TO IMPROVE THEIR PROPERTIES!! The neighbors that rented in the same building weren’t the greatest but other than that the company provided us with the best service quality they could. Experiencia negativa: Not a tenant but my boyfriend is. they love to say secured front entrances, yet the locks on the "secured doors" are literally broken and not secure at all lmao. There's a homeless person sleeping in the hallway every night the past 5 months I've visited. Hallways are always full of trash. Downstairs neighbor smokes cigarettes inside, every time I come over I smell cig smoke in the hall and occasionally in my boyfriends apartment. Literally won't come upon request but if they want to enter even though my boyfriend had covid, they can't be bothered to reschedule, but also constantly want to come into his apartment for no reason, once without any notice. Druggies digging in the trash and roaming around cars. Honestly i would never rent from this company and i feel bad my boyfriend does.

Casa Property's allowed me and my children to live with mice without responding to our maintenance request to resolve the issues. We seen mice running outside in our backyard in the front yard. In the kitchen. In the bathroom. In our beds. You name it and they did nothing. When we moved in the house was patched up as in broken blinds were taped up and so on. Whatever. Imagine my surprise when moving out being charged 700 Dollars to replace all the blinds. But they were okay with the bare minimum when we moved in. If you like being scammed go head and move in. These people take advantage of people who don't have enough money to find something better
Experiencia negativa: These people are a trip applied for one unit and looked at the unit And all then they call back claiming we are only approved for a smaller unit and at a total different place that we have not even saw We make well over a 1100 a week plus other income of SSI so where do they get off approving me for a unit that is only a $100 more than what they want us to have I'm taking them to court

Experiencia negativa: Highly irresponsible Staff. Made me wait several days for an apt decision, that backed me into a holiday weekend. I don't think they care in the least about getting someone the right apt.
Experiencia negativa: Required multiple attempts to finally contact anyone despite messages left. Arranged to view an apartment in a low- to middle-income neighborhood. The person setting up the appointment acted like they were doing ME a massive favor. When arrived, the representative wasn't waiting outside...apparently waiting in apartment. Multiple buildings, poorly marked as to Apt nos. Found correct building. Exterior had lots of trash, overflowing dumpster uncleared leaves (in April). Interior had threadbare carpet, extremely strong odor of human urine, trash all over hallway. 2 people I encountered didn't speak English, wouldn't direct me to the desired apartment even when asked in Spanish, and stank of marijuana. Called office and told them the above and said, "Hell, no." Obviously taking advantage of people who have no voice/choice as they are illegals. I feel sorry for anyone forced to live there.
Experiencia fantástica: I have a property in Lincoln that I rent out. At first I was worried about the process of renting my place out, but the team at CASA took care of everything. Cleaning, fixing anything broken, screening and finding tenants, managing the leasing process - it’s all taken care of. It was a good decision to have CASA manage my rental property for me and I would highly recommend them.

I’m a single mom, never was late on rent, never gave them problems, I did everything right when I moved out. Get a letter in the mail today that i owe them $350 after my credits for over paying on rent and security deposit of $675 dollars. They updated the apartment (barely) and are charging me for it. They’re nothing but money hungry scam artists. They literally start problems with their renters for no reason other than to try to break leases to force people to pay more. This place needs shut down. Don’t make the mistakes I made. Do not rent from them

We called them to ask if our rent check went through and they said yes and all of a sudden we owe $1,300 and they charged us for late fees when we called on the 5th of August said there is no balance and we called back to talk to the accouting manager and that person never there my wife calls everyday they give excuse that that account manager is busy or not there and won't give out that accounting manager's name. So the next step is turning them into the Better Business Bureau or take legal action against them!
Experiencia negativa: These reviews say it all. I don’t rent from them, and no one should. CASA preys on people’s desperation for housing and lack of resources, often immigrants. They do bare minimum plywood unpainted exterior repairs. They do not pay for trash often enough, bins are always full or overflowing. They never clean up litter on the property from their density, and don’t care that they attract rummagers. I’ve seen grills on balconies, a fire code violation. They’ve been reported to the City and do not correct anything. Their tenant’s bass booms in the alley all night, keeping tenants the whole block awake. There are domestic disputes regularly. I don’t know why they bother questioning bad reviews when there’s so many. Shameful.

Experiencia negativa: Rarely do I leave reviews but it was necessary for this particular company, and if I could give it 0 stars, I would. The apartment I was in was a beautiful older building that used to be managed by a small Business, and it was excellent! Never had any problems. They sold to casa property management and you could IMMEDIATELY notice the difference. First of all, entry ways/ laundry room/ hallways etc.. we’re RARELY cleaned, and absolutely disgusting. (I actually swept and mopped myself at one point just because it was covered in bugs). Secondly, roaches became present and impossible to handle. I reported this issue to maintenance twice and called on several occasions to have exterminators come. I was told the maintenance order would need to be APPROVED by the owner who would decide if they wanted to spend the money on it! ! After that little stunt I called again and left a voicemail threatening to call the health department if they neglected to take care of the issue. They sent an exterminator out 3 days later. However, (and mind you I’m a very very tidy person) by that point it had been a few months and the roach problem was already so bad that I wasn’t going to risk ruining any more of my things (I had to throw out all of my furniture). In August 28th I notified them that I would be moving out due to all the problems and was emailed/texted/ and spoke to on the phone SEVERAL times that as soon as I moved I’d only need to pay the prorated amount for September once I turn in my keys. My grandma had surgery and I work full time but I found a new place right away and was fully moved out in 2 weeks. I turned in the keys yesterday and they told me I need to pay the full month of September’s rent PLUS fees. I’ve shown them their emails and messages regarding the matter telling me otherwise and they said they’d follow up but still insisted I need to pay the full amount (which I did not and will not do). Needless to say, this company is money hungry and absolute garbage. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: We called a week ago about our freezer not working then called on Monday because the fridge stopped working and lost two gallons of milk just to call again today Thursday to have a maintenance guy come out and “fix it” but in the process of fixing it we had to pull all of our food out of the freezer for over four hours then it was fixed when the maintenance guy came back we can not put anything back nor turn the fridge on until it is completely defrost the ice as well as leaving the freezer door open we will now lose all of our groceries and casa “can’t replace them as well as we still do not have a mailbox or a mail box key that they said they’d oils get to us the week we moved in

Experiencia negativa: I ended up getting roaches in my apartment and filled out a maintenance request on May 10th requesting pest control to spray. 1 maintenance request and 7 phone calls later, its been over a month and nothing has been done. Whenever I call, they either play dumb or give me an excuse and say someone will call me back. While I appreciated getting a chance at renting with my criminal record, I would not recommend this place. If you can afford to live somewhere else, I would suggest doing so.
Hi Jackson – As soon as you notified our office that additional pest control service was needed, we scheduled treatment. Pest Control went to the unit as planned, but you had not prepared the unit for treatment and so the appointment was rescheduled. Once you prepared your unit according to the instructions provided by Pest Control, treatment was immediately applied. Experiencia negativa: This company bought out my building mid lease and repeatedly tried to raise the rent while under contract for a lower price. After showing the leasing forms my rent was still increased after saying they would honor the leasing contract. Absolute nightmare dealing with customer service. I would highly recommend NOT going through this company.

Experiencia negativa: They do not fix issues in the apartment(my old neighbor had a leak in his apartment for freaking MONTHS, and they refused to come fix it. There was a water leak in the main hallway and there's soggy paint chips constantly on the floor of the hall, the list goes on), they texted me that I was going to be evicted because I didn't pay rent when I had actually paid it 2 days before the first of the month. They do not control the noise complaints, the tenants that smoke indoors, they do not control the 9 kids that scream and run up and down the hallways during the entire day. This is a disgusting company that doesn't give a single frick about their tenants happiness, and only money.

Experiencia negativa: They’re legit terrible. They do take stuff but they don’t clean?!! We signed a lease agreement with Century saying we had free parking. When casa took over they changed it but they never had us sign a new lease agreement. None of the tenants. Then tried to say we could buy a pass for 50. When it was free in the original contract. They also don’t fix anything. I had a leaky room for two months and they wouldn’t come fix it. Got to the point where I would call them three times a week and they would lie saying they never got a work order or would plain not answer. The owner had to get his personal maintenance guy to come fix it bc Casa (who pays to take care of this building) just flat out refused. Don’t even get me started on the mold problem. I would never rent for them. Unless you want to be taken advantage of. They will charge you for amenities that you previously had, won’t clean, won’t repair anything. Saw a review about them taking things. They really will! We have a laundry room and every time someone comes to “clean” which is sometime take out the trash. They’ll take some people detergents/clothes and not others. This never happened with century or capital rentals. The people saying they care must be in business with them bc they are 100 absent. Also love how they post some crazy “please call we can make this work” I’m sure everyone who has posted a review has tried calling and this was their last resort. Cause that’s what happened to me. It’s also really weird that all their positive reviews were posted at the same time.Tenants are not issued free parking passes. They are issued one pass per apartment, when it’s a three bedroom apartment. There is also no such thing as a small replacement fee. You charge 50 dollars outside that one pass. When everyone here has a roommate.

This property “management” company expects tenants to pay $50 for additional parking passes and if your vehicle doesn’t have one they tow at the expense of the owner...hmm something doesn’t add up. How about having the tenants sign a new lease with your company like you should? Instead of altering the original lease agreement set forth and signed for. Don’t expect anything to be fixed or fixed properly at their properties either. Maintenance has no clue what they are doing or find the most half witted and cheap ways to “repair” things. That is if they actually follow through with maintenance requests. I recommend avoiding a property managed by Casa at all costs. They are a joke of a company.

How are you affiliated with our business?… So that Tenants have access to parking, permits are issued to all tenants for FREE. If the Tenant loses their free permit, there is a small replacement fee. Experiencia negativa: Well, it looks like Casa decided to delete all their reviews, so here we go again. This company will keep your security deposit and won't respond to emails asking for clarification for a month. They are extremely unprofessional and I strongly urge everyone to look at properties elsewhere. They won't give 24 hour notice when entering the apartment for maintenance, and after buying our building from another company they decided to enforce strict parking rules without consulting the tenants or listening to tenants concerns about said rules. Avoid at all costs
