Experiencia negativa: There is a old common law rule in Massachusetts called Caveat Emptor meaning " let the buyer beware" and that describes my experience with Lock and Key Realty.Our family was looking at a house on Herman St. in Springfield that seemed like a house we could bid on and buy. My realtor was working with theirs ,a Michael Johnson who was the representative for the sellers. No one disclosed anything about this property to us before we had an inspection which lasted two and a half hours and exposed so many major issues ,it was shocking. Roof, wiring and boiler was just the start of the issues of this property. It would have been advisable and commendable to reveal these problems in a respectable way and in a business like atmosphere. After we found out through our excellent inspector the myriad of issues we were not interested any longer. Very disappointing dealing with this group but as I said " let the buyer beware" and the phrase Caveat Emptor certainly applies in my experience here. Thank you Dennis Thanks for your response, I believed material facts would be issues with the roof, knob and tube wiring found in the property and boiler age among other problems. The whole experience didn't seem representative of a company that should deal on a higher basis, platform and most of all open transparency. It also took over a week after inspection to get the deposit check back. I was hoping for a better experience from Lock and Key. Thank you Dennis
