Experiencia negativa: (On move in, rated 5/5. update below) I am blown away at the professionalism, care, attention to detail and communicative prowess of Stewardship Rentals. Lovely team. They will answer any questions promptly and concisely. Maintainence is always swift and the job gets done right. Thanks for making moving a simpler process!!! Edit after move out: 1/5 stars. In summation if you can’t find anyone else to rent with, Stewardship will be just, fine.. I had electrical issues that could have been hazardous I tried to get them to fix for my entirety of living there, they never did. I put in requests to have the weather stripping replaced on the doors as there was visible gaps, never replaced. The place had poor insulation, a heater in only one room, no AC, no dishwasher, no garbage disposal, no washer/dryer included only hookups. Basically no amenities for almost 1700 a month. Kind of a ripoff. They also only ever raised my rent during my stay. Then they kept my deposit for leaving a couch, and some minor repairs (everything was in good repair when I left, everything that maintenance would fix anyway). Then not two weeks after setting up a payment for the outstanding balance, they sent my account to collections. Truly great, until they weren’t!

Experiencia fantástica: I rented from stewardship for 5 years and they were always so kind and helpful. Everyone who works there is so down to earth and easy to talk to. Communication is fast, and the maintenance workers care about you having appliances that work. I wish I could rent from them forever and I would recommend this rental company to any of my friends or family!

Experiencia negativa: Tim the maintnence guy is so rude and unhelpful I get it people have bad days I have worked in the service industry for 7 years I would never treat a customer the way Tim treated us. Either train your staff better or get better staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Best rental agency!! Recently had a pretty gnarly leak in my apartment, called the emergency maintenance line and they were super fast and on top of it. Within an hour they showed up with stuff to clean up the water, I was unable to stay in my unit due to them having to replace the floor and get into the wall to find the leak , they offered to set me up in a hotel (I politely declined as my pets hate hotels) and they had my apartment fixed and the floor redone in 13 days. They even credited me my rent back without any hesitation for the next month. Bonus: they randomly give you pizza coupons to show appreciation!! HIGHLY recommend

Experiencia negativa: Warning. One of their maintenance Came to a stop at a green light. Then 200 feet later took a left turn wide Because he had a trailer And crashed into my mirror. I got out and asked them for Car insurance The driver immediately made up his story And said I hit him. The employees of this company are very shady. I would not trust them

Experiencia negativa: Today a gentleman named dylan entered my backyard without permission. I had no idea who he was and almost called the police. When i called the office i was transferred to tim who hung up on me and refused to give me his name. I had no notice someone was going into my backyard, on top of that i am sick with laryngitis and can hardly talk. I felt in danger, and he could have let my dog out. Tim told me to call back the office and talk to shinel, and i am waiting to hear back from her on how she will handle this but i am very disappointed as i have previously had a fine experience with the company.

Experiencia negativa: Stewardship was a great rental company until they weren't. We thoroughly cleaned the house we were renting before turning in the keys to the degree that they asked for. We swept, dusted, vacuumed, and left everything in very good condition. Despite this, Stewardship billed us nearly $1500 for cleaning, including $60 for blinds and over $900 for general cleaning. The photos they sent us to "justify" these charges showed the house as clean as it was when we moved in. Avoid renting from Stewardship.

Experiencia negativa: I used Stewardship for 2 years and they went downhill severely. The maintenance staff is awesome and timely but moving out is a pain and they are extremely hard to contact. They'll try to give you the run around and squeeze and cent out of you they can. I would highly recommend Campus Connections instead.

Experiencia fantástica: I respect Stewardship Rentals a lot because when there was an issue with my apartment, they provided me with a place to stay until we could find a solution. Ultimately I had to move out but they gave me relocation assistance in a timely manner.

Experiencia negativa: Quit sending me postcards begging to buy my property!! I've called these people to have my address removed so I no longer get junk from them,, they basically gave me the finger, & SENT ME 2 MORE!! Stewardship obviously doesn't care about anything but making a buck!

Experiencia fantástica: As a new resident under Stewardship Rentals management. They have gone above and beyond to make sure we feel safe, heard, & happy with our apartment. Regardless of the matter, their office is excellent at communicating with us & are very helpful with any questions we may have. In our time here, specifically Malayna Garcia & Shinel Bingham, have been amazing at making our life worry free.

Experiencia fantástica: Ok so I have lived in Eugene Oregon for 6yrs and in that 6yrs I have had the best experience with the staff of Stewardship Rentals, my first 6months with them, the area I lived in was unpleasant for my children and they were kind enough to terminate my agreement and move me to a different area that was much better for my kids, that goes to show that they care about the people, it’s not just about getting paid from the tenants, but if you know what’s good for you then you would make sure your rent is paid in full and on time, just saying, this staff has been very responsive to any and every need that is able to be fulfilled, the maintenance crew is very time efficient and flexible with you, the upkeep of the property is always great, so don’t mess it up, every last member of Stewardship staff has been the kindest, from the young ladies at the front desk to the ones that play the background down to the maintenance crew and landscapers, the best I have ever experienced in my life, I love this staff and thank this staff for everything, if u want to experience this experience yourself then choose Stewardship Rentals just keep in mind things don’t get bad unless you as the tenant make them bad because they will work with you until they cannot and at that point it’s all on you, Ha take notes people, treat the people and the property with respect and responsibility and it will serve a great deal for you in the long run. What sets Stewardship apart is their team. In my experience, everyone was very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to my questions. The apartments themselves are well-maintained and affordable, and I was grateful to have a pet friendly place to live.

Experiencia fantástica: We've been renting from them since 2020 and have had a great experience. Everyone on the team is really helpful, especially Shinel and Tim, and have taken care of any problems we have in the interior and exterior part of the apartment. They reply within a day or two and get things done quickly.

Experiencia fantástica: I rented from Stewardship for almost 5 years and had a great experience. The maintenance Mgr (Tim) was incredibly kind, communicative, and always took care of any maintenance issues right away. The Mgr (Shinel) was also great and if they would of had a bigger home in my area I would of stayed with them mainly due to the staff. They were incredibly fair to me in my move out as well. Overall I had a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: What can I say, Stewardship made a scary, unfamiliar experience into an amazing one. I was sending my oldest son to another state to live. Scary for mom, exciting for him. We had no idea how to navigate this new adventure for him. Rebecca was very understanding and very patient and walked me through what became a very simple process. They were very accommodating for my son whom is a firefighter and was busy with little time to search for a place to live. He had contacted several other rental companies, and they told him, "you just need to go do the online and fill out the application". They wouldn't answer any questions. Stewardship was an entirely different experience. I think I called Rebecca 8 times in one day, with questions. I really felt so comfortable with them and knew my son would be in good hands with them. Customer Service 100 stars if I could give it. Thank you for making this mama bear so relaxed letting her cub go.

Experiencia fantástica: Rebecca was very helpful with the entire rental process. She was also very quick at getting my application processed and approved which was very appreciated as I was at the time staying in Vacasa vacation rental homes (that were costing me between $210-$270 per day) while I was looking for a property in a nice safe neighborhood that had a large fully fenced yard for my dog to be able to use as she pleased. The property I rented was very clean and move in ready on the day I signed the lease and the monthly rent is very reasonable. The response from maintenance when my dryer wasn’t heating up was immediate and they had it up and working in a day

Experiencia negativa: This company is not something I would recommend to anyone attempting to rent. Horrible personality,uptite and taking advantage of pet people seems to be ok with them, don't ever pay rent for a pet and a deposit as well unreal what a scammer. I would take away the one star I gave them however they did answer the phone.

Experiencia fantástica: I have rented across the US under various companies in the last 8 years and Stewardship Rentals is hands down the best rental company I have rented under. Their office and maintenance staff are super friendly. When maintenance requests are submitted they reliably communicate with the house manager to schedule a time to fix the requests. Apart from doing a great job while renting their application process for our place was seamless. We had 5 separate individuals applying, Stewardship helped make the applications easy. Unlike other rental companies that charge an application fee, Stewardship did not which helped everyone feel comfortable applying and working with Stewardship if our desired rental became unavailable. Additionally Stewardship does not have harsh credit score or income limitations that made it prohibitive for a group of college students to get a good place to rent close to the UO campus. Call-outs to Malayna, Tim, Tom, Rebecca, and Shinel for such a great rental experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Stewardship was a breeze to work with. My boyfriend and I lived in our rental for 6 months. Upon signing the lease they let us choose our terms (month-to-month or a year-long lease). We also have an emotional support animal (chocolate lab) and submitting that paperwork was no hassle whatsoever. Every interaction I had with Stewardship staff, from the ladies at the office to the maintenance men, was professional, pleasant, and courteous. They were so thorough to make sure everything was immaculate upon move-in; the walls smelled like fresh paint, all of the floors were brand new, the place was perfect. The one time I submitted a maintenance request they called me to schedule a repair the very next day and were super prompt and proactive. An advantage of renting through them versus a small private landlord is their website. Paying rent, submitting maintenance requests, seeing your bills and upcoming statements, and submitting move out forms, all of it was quick and easy. This made moving (both in and out) just a bit less stressful and no drama. If ever I have to rent again, I won’t hesitate to use Stewardship.

Experiencia fantástica: I made a big move from Florida to Oregon and Malayna at Stewardship made it the easiest transition. She was so incredibly helpful with any questions I had. Stewardship's communication with prospective residents is amazing. Being at a distance before moving in, Malayna worked with me and my family who live in the area to ensure they could tour the apartment for me, which I greatly appreciated. There were a few hiccups involving bringing my animals but Malayna helped me out and I've got both of my ESA's with me. :) Each time that I called, she remembered me and all of the details of my situation. This is something that I really appreciated. The move-in process was so easy and stress-free. We also got a goody bag when we moved in which was very cute! When I arrived to the apartment, it was very clean and had the wifi already set up. Thank you Malayna for all of your help, you're truly amazing at what you do!!!! I recommend Stewardship rentals for your next home and I plan on staying here throughout my college years.

Experiencia fantástica: I have always had a great experience with Stewardship! Me and my partner are on our second rental with this company and they seem to always be upgrading the units. ( they fully remodeled the bathroom in our last unit) and installed new flooring in our new one. When it comes to repairs or any other issues, they’ve always been helpful and understanding.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a very positive experience with Stewardship Property Management. Rebecca was patient and accommodating as we worked to get to lease signing. The front desk person was friendly and professional when I went in to pick up my keys. I emailed about a non urgent issue on Friday and Rebecca contacted me before end of day. Overall, I’m very happy with the process and the friendly, professional behavior of everyone at Stewardship.

Experiencia fantástica: Stewardship Rentals was a great rental company to be with. I stayed in one of their apartments, which was the first place of my own, and they treated me very well. They took care of all my maintenance requests in a timely manner, and was very helpful on my move in and move out. They worked with me very well. Experiencia negativa: The process of applying is fairly simple, they are often fast in communicating and respond quickly to maintenance requests. As a whole, Stewardship is a fine company. However, the customer service by phone is absolutely atrocious. Malayna in the office is very kind and easy to work with, yet Rebecca is extremely offensive in tone, and condescending with her words. I dread her picking up the phone when I call because I know she will put me in a bad mood. She does not enjoy answering questions, and frankly seems annoyed when they are asked. Stewardship works with many college students new to the rental system because of their geographical placement, yet Rebecca sounds frustrated when asked simple questions. I do not like leaving such a poor review as my overall experience has been fine with Stewardship (besides a morally questionable fine), yet Rebecca brings down the entire organization with her lack of professionalism and negative demeanor.

Experiencia fantástica: I was pleased with our renting experience at Stewardship Properties. The maintenance team was responsive to several different types of issues, and the folks on the customer service end were always very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. The maintenance request page was a little iffy (I didn't get confirmation that my requests had been received a time or two), so I ended up calling to verify my requests, but the team was very responsive once I got through.

Experiencia negativa: Lived at one of their properties for a year. We had literal sewage come up from the shower drain in the bathroom. They took a month to repair the piping and replace the deck to get it back to the original standard (we solely used the 2nd bathroom for that month). Then they didn't give us any of our security deposit back, even though we spent 2 fulls days cleaning (top to bottom) before moving out. Should have reported them to the BBB honestly.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed having Stewardship Properties as our landlords. They were always nice and friendly when we called, and overall responsive to our inquries. They did a great job at informing us in advance when construction would create delays in water or anything else. Also, the apartment was sparkly clean when we moved in. Best landlords I have had in Eugene so far. I am in no way affiliated with the company, I just see negative comments here and wanted to give my input of a positive experience with them.

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE!!! Cheats,liars, and rude! Please read all the comments. Multiple college students saying the same thing. They will try and take advantage of you and you will not get anything close to your deposit back regardless of how much you cleaned. Office ladies are the worst, and it's very obvious to those who've worked with them that the good comments on here are from them/fiction. If you do have to rent from them document everything, take video walkthroughs, photos of before moving in and leaving. Including proof of dropping off rent, keys anything!!! Even then they'll try something slimy to get more money out of you. Truly make money by taking advantage of young college students. They should be put out of business.

Our biggest gripe was a 100 increase in rent from year 1 to year 3, which was no big when we split it between the six of us. Tom from their in house maintenance team was always on top of handling our requests, from the smallest to the larger issues. He always was respectful of our space and handled requests promptly and with care. When we experienced a break in after one month of living there, they responded with such compassion and helped us install new, more secure locks and they came and installed motion activated flood lights on our dark driveway and big open backyard. They understood that as 6 girls, security was one of our top concerns. We were never charged for these maintenance requests, unless we dropped a shot glass down the sink and broke the garbage disposal (which we did... more than once haha). They even installed bike racks into our backyard when they saw that all 6 of us had a bike and that we needed a better place to store them and lock them. When we needed to swap out two roommates our second year living on the property, they made the process seamless and helped us make sure everyone was situated. I see a lot of negative reviews of this property management company - but must say that I don't agree with any of them. True, we got about half of our deposit back but seriously I didn't even expect that much having lived there for 3 years as a college student. I was happy to get as much as we did back - especially considering that we had painted some rooms and put the house through the college wringer lol. I would say that we did our very best to be respectful and upfront with them during the duration of our tenancy, and they responded completely in kind. I would 100% rent from them again, especially after hearing some stories about other Property Management companies from my old roommate who still lives in Eugene attending school. All in all, I recommend stewardship properties to anyone looking to rent a campus property in Eugene. They will take care of you as long as you treat their properties with care and are respectful in your interactions with them. I feel lucky to have had such a long term rental that my friends and I LOVED.

Experiencia fantástica: I live next door to one of their rentals. I don’t know how much money they spent in updating the property but it was significant. A real difference. The first renter was a horrible group of people. Stewardship was very responsive to my complaints and eventually were able to evict the tenants. My impression, while not exactly relevant, is that they are a high quality company.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently moved out of Stewardship to buy my own home. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with them. The interactions with staff were always good and they are very responsive to my calls and emails. Maintenance was always dealt with in a timely manner as well. I received all of my security deposit back with exception of the carpet cleaning fee which I understand is normal. I have recommend them to my friends and would definitely recommend them again!

Experiencia fantástica: We had an excellent experience with Stewardship! We rented for 6 months and never had any problems or complaints. When we first moved in, I noticed a couple small things around the house that needed repairs (ie. a broken spray hose in the kitchen sink, and the fridge had a little drip), but after I called to report my concerns they were fixed within 24 hours! I was actually surprised by how timely their response was. Overall, Stewardship was very easy to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a rental in the area!!

Experiencia fantástica: As of right now* the process of moving in and currently the accommodations here are better than expected. Considering we moved in the midst of covid. The office definitely had a few mix ups, however they were quick to find a replacement. The unit did have some issues, but after one phone call and a day wait, it was all fixed. I've seen a few complaints on moving out and I've not come to that part yet, but when I do I'll update then! However as of right now, I have no qualms with the customer service, the building, the neighbors, and the quick response time in getting things fixed.

Experiencia positiva: Very kind staff! I wish we could have had a virtual tour before renting (applied for the house during COVID so could not tour in person). The room dimensions posted were not quite accurate so we were surprised at how small they were when we moved in. However, they were very accommodating when we asked to add someone to our lease and so far have been a great company to work with! Hoping that the move-out process will go just as smoothly.

Experiencia negativa: Stewardship Properties is the least professional rental service in Eugene. They offered the first month free upon moving in and gave us a free move-in basket. All this was paid for and then some upon move out. Upon move-in we found mold in windowsills and they painted over it on one of the bathroom ceilings. During the first month of Covid lockdown, they proceeded to try and show our apartment to potential renters. Our entire security deposit was taken from us and we were charged $400 over the deposit in random cleaning fees. Worst part is, not one of us received an explanation whether it be in letter format or email. We found out five months after move out we were being charged these fees by a collections agency. Stewardship is SLIMY and I would not suggest renting from them. PERIOD.

Experiencia fantástica: Stewardship Properties is the premiere place to rent from. I should know because I have tried them all. From beginning to end, the helpful staff will respectfully guide you through the process of property rental. They are professional, courteous, but mostly very understanding of tenants needs. They have an EXCELLENT maintenance staff with 24hr emergency response if needed. AND Yes,, they do accept pets which was Very important to me. Hands down, Stewardship Properties should be your FIRST choice for property rental.

It took them more than 30 days to get us our deposit, plus they took out $400+ from it. These people are the most lazy and greedy rental company I've dealt with to date. Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I have rented from Stewardship since July of 2018. The team has always been available, responsive, and professional each and every time we have needed to speak to them. The application process was easy and smooth and renewing our lease every year was done with ease. They walked us through everything that we needed. When we needed help with some maintenance issues they were responsive and resolved very quickly. The only reason we are moving out is due to the need to relocate due to transfer orders that I have received. Even through all of this they have been professional and easy to work with. Another plus is the home we are renting is very well insulated and taken care of and with all this smoke in the air due to the current fires in our area we have not had any issues with the smoke coming in the house at all! I would highly recommend Stewardship for your next rental company!

Experiencia negativa: While apt hunting I called the office to ask about my dogs (I've got two medium sized so it's tough to find a place). My first question was "does your company have weight limits on dogs?" And the first thing the woman said was "yes if you visit our website and go to FAQ you will find that information." I responded with, "okay, but do you know the pet weight limit off the top of your head?" And without understanding or asking me additional questions to assist me she says, "well if you go to our website and read those FAQs you'll get your answer... And yes, I do know the answer". What she could've done was answer my simple question (it's 40 lbs btw) and THEN refer me to the FAQ page in case I had any similar questions in the future regarding my pet. Terrible phone etiquette, bad customer service skills, bad attitude, and awful representation of your company. I called at 4:54 pm today. In case you record your calls and wanna listen to that. Could be an excellent learning opportunity for potential growth.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this property management company 0 stars, I would. THEY ARE PREDATORY. WATCH OUT. Especially if you have a low income or are an inexperienced renter. Myself and a couple roommates were interested in potentially renting a property from them. We submitted an application, which was quickly approved and then they aggressively pressured us to sign the lease within the span of a week without being able to inspect the property or even have a video tour as a result of COVID-19 and because they said they "had a lot of other interest in the property". We were only sent a couple images of the house which didn't even include one of the bedrooms. After doing a little research about law changes as a result of COVID, I informed the agent I was working with, Melina, that they were clearly lying about not being able to give tours of the property, since it is the law in Oregon that property owners are allowed to enter the premises so long as they give tenants 24 hours notice. This has not changed due to COVID. It is absolutely absurd to ask someone to sign a year long lease without first allowing them to inspect the property. What are they trying to hide??? She said that she would speak to the property owner and asked me to call her back on a separate day. Directly following that conversation they updated the listing with new photos (that they never sent me) for $180 less than it was previously (making it clear that she was lying about others' interest in the property). My advice: DO NOT trust or rent from this slimy company. They are predatory property managers who likely get away with it because they rent often to inexperienced college students in Eugene who don't know any better and don't have the money to lawyer up if their rights as tenants are violated. UPDATE: after I left this review on their facebook page, they tried to call me a liar and pretend they hadn't lowered their listing price, even though I have screenshots of the discrepancy. Just more evidence of how shady this company is.

Experiencia negativa: So far so good. Really quick to fix things no complaints from me. Update!!! Please read below Here is an update! Spmeone broke into my car there. High crime area. I saw someone walking up to car doors trying then. But here is the kicker homeless ppl was sleeping in the crawl space!!! Yes they would sleep in there and you could here them at night . Not to mention the ants and roaches. I told the landlord I needed to move to a safer place while hubby was deployed with the kids and she gave me a 5k bill. They are ok to cerain extent. That location wasnt suitable for my family great neighbors tho!

Experiencia negativa: I can't even begin to express how awful my experience has been with this company. Let me just say that after getting our lease taken over due to undisclosed construction in our backyard and multiple utilities shutoffs, we were charged rent through an autopay system which we were informed had been closed, a month after we paid our last rent. Instead of apologizing and immediately refunding us, the owner of the company tried to tell me that "we don't take money, you pay it" and proceeded to try to shirk any blame for the situation (instead of just "saying sorry that happened we will fix it"). I wish I could attach the text messages between myself and the owner to this review, and I wish I had a way to share the phone calls where he tried to lecture me on how to "act more mature" when his employees don't have the maturity to respond to any of my numerous phone calls made during business hours about emergency situations like utilities shutoffs. Not to mention . . . the THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR cleaning fee they took out of our deposit despite our unit being vacuumed and swept, the constant reliance on "our office is under construction" as an excuse for not returning calls (for a month), or the ridiculously high rent and utility prices for a 400ft studio unit in a renovated garage ($940), which we fell for since we had just moved to town. This is a despicable company, and I hope anyone with sense stays far away.

Experiencia fantástica: I would say I was a pretty good tenant by inquiring whenever I had any questions and I made sure to clean up after myself the best I could. That being said, Stewardship always returned prompt responses to all of my questions and they treated me well in return. I would rent from them again if i ever move back to Eugene.

Experiencia fantástica: I have to say I had some doubts about this management company at first but I’ve rented from them now for awhile and I have had a great experience with them. This month in particular I had a small issue with my bank and the lovely office ladies have been so kind and understanding and were 100% willing to work with me. I am just so grateful to have a company see me as a human being and not just a name on their computer screen to collect from. They certainly didn’t have to be so kind. I am thankful to have found a rental I can stay at long term with landlords who actually care!

I would chose Stewardship over and over. Repairs are taken care of in a timely manner, rent or rent questions, everything in general goes very smooth. Experiencia fantástica: This is my third year being a tenant under Stewardship Properties, and they have been nothing but nice in all aspects, whether it is maintenance concerns, check-ups, or other property issues. Christy and Rebecca are so attentive towards their clients and make sure all tenants are comfortable and happy with their living situation. Maintenance staff is exceptional, they've even asked what time to come in to fix the problem so as to not wake us up if it's early in the morning or conflict with our schedules. Highly recommend Stewardship Properties, especially for University of Oregon students looking for a place close to campus!

Experiencia negativa: I was charged $80 for carpet cleaning and $25 for 1 hour cleaning out of my deposit. I sadly got the email response from this management that section 12 in the contract says that 'Landlord may deduct the cost of carpet cleaning from the deposit regardless of ....'. They wrote this into the contract and would charge you the cleaning fee after you moved out for sure. I looked up on the internet to see in which situation will a landlord deduct money from the deposit. Again, sadly I didn't find a situation like I was in. The most common reasons I found are those like 'In most states and jurisdictions, security deposit laws allow a landlord to deduct from a security deposit for any damage or excessive dirtiness, but not for any expected, normal wear-and-tear.' I left the room clean and empty and there's no wear-and-tear there. So be careful, they write 'they will take some of your deposit' in section 12-- deposit of the contract and will charge you after you leave. I don't like the way they do their business. That's why I gave them 1 star.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been a tenant with stewardship for over a year now and it has been fabulous. When I moved from out of state here, they worked with me to get me set up even at a distance. Whenever I've needed help or maintenance they have been quick, efficient, and friendly. I honestly couldn't think about going with any other property management company in Eugene. I've had really bad experiences with property management companies in the past and I can assure you that this will not be one.
