When my husband first said we should talk to Taylor, who he has only seen on YouTube videos, I was skeptical, but after talking with Taylor on the phone about our goals and wants for a house he became the clear choice for our agent over three other agents we talked to. He and Sarah were so fun to work with and ridiculously easy to get in touch with and schedule showings. Their understanding and knowledge was invaluable as we learned about the home buying process and also about what our real wants were (townhouse vs single family home and of course budget). Our first impression was that he was honest, knew the market/area, and would not string us along. Taylor is the more hands-on of the duo, so my remarks going forward will focus on him. Moving interstate from Florida to Virginia is intimidating. My husband flew up to Richmond to scout properties but didn't know anything about the area or what homes would fit our price range. After reviewing our "favorited" homes on his real estate portal, Taylor guided Steve only to houses and condos that checked off the majority of our boxes. With careful thought and Taylor's input, we were able to zero in on a property that meets our needs and underscores our reasons for moving to Richmond in the first place. Taylor quickly took care of business, showing me a video tour of the property, securing a contract, scheduling a home inspection, outlining next steps, reviewing HOA docs, and so on. Then, our buyer in Miami experienced some setbacks with her lender. We couldn't relocate without selling our place in Miami! Taylor provided advice and encouragement to us while reassuring our seller in Richmond. It was nerve-wracking but we ended up closing both deals and saving our dream of moving directly into a home in Virginia (versus renting for 3 months while we continued looking). Since the closings, Taylor has continued to help us while we pack and prepare to make the move. He has checked on our condo several times and alerted us to things like utilities that hadn't been turned on, despite our setting up accounts, and so on. Sarah and Taylor are highly experienced professionals who care about the people they help relocate to Virginia. They understand how stressful relocating is and try their best to anticipate needs, provide reassurance and give helpful advice. I highly recommend their services!

We planned a trip to Richmond and he spent 3 hours on a Sunday giving us a customized tour of the area (with our fussy toddler in the back of his car making a mess with snacks). It was extremely valuable. What’s remarkable about this experience is that Taylor invested this effort without any guarantee that we’d end up moving to Richmond. He understood our situation and still took the time to work with us. If we do relocate to Richmond, we absolutely will be working with Jefferson Grove. This was our second relocation within the year so we had a little "practice" but the experience between our former realtor and Taylor was night and day, we wish we worked with him the first time around. And when we came across a few of the houses we thought might be right, he got us in to see them even though we made last minute requests. While viewing the houses, Taylor checked the properties thoroughly, like the age on the HVAC units. He even went into the crawl spaces to see how the houses had been maintained and what kind of pipes they had so we’d know if there might be issues. In one of the properties he was able to quickly estimate for us how much we would need to fix the obvious problems. And when we did settle on a property we wanted to bid on, he came up with the right strategy that helped us win despite the tough market. It was our first bid, and we won it. All thanks to Taylor. We have worked with about 6-7 realtors over the years and over many moves and hands down, Taylor and Sarah have been the absolute best to work with. The difference in quality and confidence inspired has been vast.
