My experience working with Jeannie Jarrett was nothing short of amazing. The realtor we initially contacted did not even respond to us for 2 weeks - so I decided to reach out to Jeannie to see if she serviced our area, AND SHE DOES! She responded to us immediately via email and phone. We set up a first meeting for the next Tuesday, and by Wednesday she was showing us houses to get a feel for our wants and needs - by the next Monday we had found our new home. We totally trusted her contacts, people she used a lot for inspections, mortgage loan, title, etc. and they were all top notch. The process went so quickly and smoothly we could hardly believe we'd just bought a house. Jeannie takes the time to explain everything and made herself available at all hours if we had any questions or concerns. She made the things we thought were impossible happen with repairs to the new house to be made by the seller. Experiencia negativa: Like most people I look extensively at reviews before committing to certain things like when it comes to buying property and who I choose to help me through the process. Jeannie had fantastic reviews and she had reached out to me first (I hit a button on Zillow about a potential property). I ended up finding the home that I purchased and it was For Sale by Owner. I looked at two other properties and the first one I really wanted she told me she could not find in her database. I had to drive to the property to tell her that it was for sale before she believed me and found it. The next property I found was nice but there were some things that I didn't like and I asked if I could have a friend come and look at it. She could be there in 15 mins but Jeannie said she had other appointments and so we were only given a certain amount of time to look at it. She also told me that this was the best I was going to do for my price range which made me feel very pressured to go under contract. Within two days we were under contract. She asked me if I was ready and I said NO, first red flag. I should have stopped right there but I was nervous and everything was new to me. Thank goodness they decided to go with another offer because I found another property. I looked at the house once on my own and then I went back with the realtor and my friend. Jeannie was hesitant about even looking at the property because the one I made an offer on had just come back on the market. I was more interested in the new property and I said I wanted to go under contract and that I was ready this time. We made the offer and the seller said the numbers wouldn't add up on her end so she told the realtor who told me it wasn't going to work and left it at that. I was annoyed that Jeannie didn't even try and make things work. I went back to the property, discussed options with the seller, and called Jeannie to discuss the terms we had agreed on. She answered a few questions and had to make sure things would work before writing up the contract. Later that evening we were under contract! We were going to be working together for a few months rather than the normal 30 days because it was better for both parties to close in the summer. Things continued to get worse. I received texts saying I needed to sign documents to which I replied I had been trying to reach the bank to ask questions before going into a lot of debt. The text which truly angered me was if I don't sign I will lose my earnest money with a follow up text saying I will tell the bank to contact you. I later found on her Facebook webpage that she was showing a picture of the property and stating that we went door to door until a place was found but I found it and I had to tell her this was the one I wanted. From this point on I do my best not to contact Jeannie because it is more trouble than it is worth. Fast forward to the final walk through and there had been a roof leak that damaged the ceiling a bedroom and it was not professionally repaired! We get outside and I ask what can we do about the ceiling? I'm worried there might be more damage than we can see and she responds by saying THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO BECAUSE THEY ALREADY REPAIRED IT AND THE CONTRACT SAYS YOU ARE BUYING AS IS. This did not sound right to me and the seller happened to call and asked if I was still interested. I called Jeannie explained my concerns and she says maybe can we just asked them for $. Now we can do something!? At this point I’m over it and contact an attorney. He gives me advice on what to do next. At the end of the day I did buy the property but her manager took over and I asked for no communication with Jeannie from this point forward. All Jeannie wanted was her commission and to be done. She did not care and I felt I was being manipulated and lied to. Buying a home is stressful but not to the point where you have to call an attorney because of the realtor. If only I could pick 0 stars! I DO NOT recommend Jeannie and please take caution when considering her. She also "rewards" reviews with a gift card.
