We have only 3 months to prepare to move from California to Virginia, and she tried her very best to give us house that fit for us. She made all house buying process as easy as possible for us from viewing houses on FaceTime possible, recommending a good loan officer, recommendations for what we need in house like services, inspections, etc , easy process of signing documents electronically when we’re still in California and the closing on the house was as smooth and fast as possible. Experiencia fantástica: When we found out that the home we were renting in Stafford, Virginia, was going on the market, to say we were less than thrilled would be an understatement. The thought of moving yet again invoked fear and anxiety in both my wife and me. Should we find another rental? Should we buy? The Northern Virginia market was, and still is, a real estate rental and sales hotspot. As we entered the fray during COVID-19 no less, we were a bit overwhelmed by the real estate horror stories of bidding wars, prices skyrocketing, and properties selling for way above asking price. How could we possibly figure this out? Keller Williams was our first step–their reputation for service is renowned throughout the US. We loved that they have a local office, so we were not dealing with someone from out of the area that simply did business in Stafford. We investigated the agency and contacted Katrina Soto; we initially hired her to find a rental property. However, after thoughtful consideration and Katrina’s counsel, we decided to purchase versus renting. She assisted us through the pre-approval process, with lender recommendations and words of encouragement when it seemed to us that the process was taking longer than it should. She made herself available to us at all hours of the day and night. Additionally, she quickly asked for documents from third parties on our behalf during the lending process and closing! The pre-approval letter finally came. Now came the house hunting. Katrina showed us many homes, some physically (when possible) others virtually. Unfortunately, those homes that we liked were also picked by many other buyers, usually selling within a day or two of being on the market. The bidding war and buying frenzy we feared was all too real! It seemed like our dream home would not be found. Undeterred, Katrina kept searching and was always in touch while looking for properties. She was happy to research them for us and send us all the info. Katrina was patient, highly knowledgeable about the real estate market, the ins-and-outs of purchasing a home, and was unbelievably flexible and helpful in scheduling viewings. It was a crazy ride, but we finally settled on a new build, a gorgeous home in our budget, and even in the neighborhood, with the shortest commute! We could not have done this without Katrina; she took good care of us during the initial contract signing, final walkthrough, closing, and even after closing. Going through our first new-build home-buying process, we felt immensely appreciative for her guidance. Whether we contacted her via zoom, email, text, or phone, she was professional and always responded quickly. Also noteworthy was that she put absolutely no stress on us and provided information in a balanced, impartial manner and was unfazed by several course-changes in what we were looking for. Throughout the process, she helped us review essential documents and kept reminding us that her job was to advocate on our behalf.
