Experiencia negativa: Extremely poor open house practices. Waited over 45 minutes in line of what was probably over 200 people to view a shitty apartment. The worst part- the apartment had no electricity during this “open house”, meaning our walkthrough was done in complete darkness with only the help of a cell phone flashlight. A joke and complete waste of time.

Experiencia negativa: Bianca Hakimi was disgustingly rude and discriminative regarding me and my family at the open house. She said the board would never approve me because I don't have a husband and instead live with my eldery parents (whos expense I pay), despite of my income. She insisted that because I am a single mother I am not qualified for any normal living conditions. She openly lied about the high board fees at this building (example - board fees are $600 and she rudely said it was $2,000 - just to get rid of me). She started chewing on a bag of chips almost spitting in my face. I worked with various rieltors in the past and attended open houses, but what I experienced with Bianca Hakimi is beyond disgusting. I would not recommend her or this company to anyone. Disgusting. Just disgusting.

Experiencia negativa: Voucher holders: document everything and proceed with caution. I worked with Isabella from Mitra Hakimi Realty Group, who was initially fast, courteous, and responsive. I appreciated her professionalism — until I submitted my voucher and residency letter. After that, her entire tone shifted. She became cold, distant, and avoidant, and I never received any follow-up. When I finally called to get answers, I was told the apartment was given to “someone the owner knew in the neighborhood” and that “it had nothing to do with the voucher.” But the change was clear. Before I submitted my documents, everything moved quickly. After I disclosed my source of income, communication abruptly stopped. This is a common pattern of source of income discrimination, which is illegal in NYC under the Human Rights Law. Voucher holders are not required to disclose their subsidy up front — and no one should be denied housing or treated differently for using one. To all voucher holders: • Screenshot everything. • Save emails and texts. • Note changes in tone or delays after disclosing your voucher. We deserve the same dignity and transparency as any other applicant. Don’t stay silent if it happens to you.

They provided excellent advice as to how to present our house (without spending a great deal of money on minor problems). They hired an experienced professional photographer to show our house on-line. They arranged for a number of qualified buyers to view the house. As a result, in a difficult, high-interest rate market, we sold our house at a price that we though was very fair, and it was on the market for less than two months before we went to contract.
