Experiencia negativa: I would strongly advise against working with Angel. My experience revealed serious ethical issues, persistent communication failures, and a total lack of accountability. The most troubling concern was undisclosed dual agency. I was not told Angel would be representing both myself and the buyer until after the buyer had already toured the property and submitted an offer—far too late to be meaningful or informed. Utah law requires clear written disclosure and consent in dual agency situations, and that simply did not happen. The buyer even told me directly they “didn’t use a realtor” and that Angel was “all they knew,” yet she still collected the buyer’s agent commission. Angel also misled me about the reason we should accept a significantly lower offer, implying there were serious issues with the home. I later learned the $20,000 in “repairs” she referenced were actually ADA modifications for the buyer’s child—completely unrelated to the condition or value of our home. That guidance directly cost me financially. She also actively interfered with communication between myself and the buyer. The buyer repeatedly asked Angel for my contact information and was denied. Even worse, Angel told the buyer that “she [the seller] does not want to see you,” which was entirely false and not based on anything I ever said. The buyer has expressed concern to me that she was being kept in the dark and feared she might be involved in a scam. Angel never once asked if I was okay with my information being shared, making herself the sole gatekeeper of all contact and ensuring we could not speak directly. She even personally escorted the buyer out of the building at closing so we would not cross paths. This behavior was manipulative, deceptive and highly inappropriate. The move-out process was a complete disaster. Angel failed to coordinate it with me entirely. I was not consulted about the move-out date or time, and there was no clear plan in place. The buyer began showing up at the house repeatedly over the weekend, under the impression they could move in immediately. I later learned that when they contacted Angel for guidance, she told them she was “off work” and to just “stop by” the house—leaving us in a stressful and chaotic situation. While the buyers were trying to be polite, they were also trying to meet their timeline—a timeline Angel failed to communicate or manage. I ended up having to leave behind personal belongings because of how rushed and poorly handled the transition was. When I brought these concerns to Angel, there was no ownership, no apology, and no effort to resolve anything. This was her response “ I am very well aware of my duties as a licensed real estate agent in the state of Utah. I received my real estate license in 1998 and I have had a Principal Broker license since 2005. I have all necessary documentation in my possession regarding buyer representation and will not be providing any of that documentation to you. I will no longer be communicating with you directly regarding this matter any further.” Her approach throughout this process was not just unprofessional—it was negligent and unethical. She collected a commission and did very little. If anything, she hindered the process and severely cost me financially. If you are looking for an agent you can trust to act in your best interests, communicate honestly and clearly, and uphold their professional and ethical obligations, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

She was easy to reach, responsive, and truly went above and beyond every step of the way. Their knowledge of how contracts work/expire is very limited. They have no problem name calling and delaying the closing on a house. It is ridiculous that in this market to behave this way. Please find someone else to work with. Run far away from Sold By An Angel!!!

Experiencia negativa: I have been in the real estate business for over 10 years. My experience with this agency is by far the worst I have experienced during that time. We called the listing agent of a house we wanted to see. We were then called back by a different agent in the office who they assigned to show us the house. This agent was not very responsive and wouldn't return our calls promptly. We realized later she was part time and was probably working another job. We ended up seeing the house again & then realized they had sent us this other agent to try and be our buyer's agent so they could get both sides of the commission on the sale. We told her we were not interested in being in a "dual agent" situation, represented by the same firm who was listing the house. When we told her this, her attitude changed immediately. She went from being helpful to downright rude to. We even told her we wanted to put in an offer and she refused. I would stay away from this agency.

They did home staging by a professional designer to make our house look great and the advice and feedback they gave was genuine and I never felt like I was being lied to. They provided me with great advice and didn't try to sugar coat any situation. I cannot express enough how important that alone was. I knew I could call Amanda and tell her what I was thinking and she would tell me honestly how I should proceed. We decided in the end to take our house off the market before it sold, but this company was amazing and helpful throughout the whole process. When we decide to put our house back on the market I will be calling them back first thing.
