Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately I had a very unprofessional experience with Say. I got paired with them when requesting a virtual tour of a home through Redfin. From the very start of our interaction it was clear that the final sale was all that mattered. This is what they said: “If I was to show you this property, will you be purchasing this property through me or are you going to use someone else? It wouldn’t make sense if I show you the property and you have someone else write the offer and get credit for it right?” I just wanted to set up a virtual tour through the listing agent as requested, that’s it. They wanted to “screen” me first with questions to know if showing it was “worth their time”. I was reluctant seeing as I didn’t seek them out specifically so I knew next to nothing about them, and I told them so. But since it was clear I’d never get to see the property without answering, I did so with only the necessary information. Ultimately however, because I wouldn’t commit to purchasing through them if they showed the home to me, they deemed us “not a fit” and disconnected. Overall, I barely got the chance to talk with them so I can’t speak to how they are throughout the entire home buying process, but based on this experience I would recommend other, much more kind and thoughtful realtors/companies that aren’t so bottom-line driven. **Updating because I can’t respond to their response. 1.) I own a home and have bought before so I know how “the process” works. I was just trying to use a feature of Redfin in this case. 2.) I’d be happy to share the whole conversation, please do so if you’d like. 3.) It wasn’t argumentative at all, I just didn’t want to share more than necessary at this stage because I don’t know you or your company at all. And I didn’t want to be forced to commit just to do the virtual tour. I think that is all very reasonable.
