I had not rented a property in more than ten years, so I was not very familiar with the process, but Kim made everything smooth. Her professionalism and service were truly impressive. I had recently sold my home, and because I was also dealing with a very tight timeline around my graduation, I needed to move in earlier than usual. Kim was very understanding and accommodating, and she helped arrange an early move-in that made a huge difference for me. She was also very responsive after I moved in. Whenever maintenance was needed, she arranged it quickly and efficiently. I really appreciated how reliable she was throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Kim to anyone looking for a realtor who is caring committed to helping her clients.

Apparently there was an issue when transferring the Water when they bought my Apartment Building, and the water went unpaid and got shut off. The Maintenance Call taker, Keith, was great. Experiencia negativa: We rented 908 E Sunnycrest in Urbana. They made us pay for 2 nights. What a DUMP! It hasn’t been cleaned in who knows how long. Tub was clogged and after how gross the house was, wasn’t about to stand in dirty water to shower. We left after a miserable night. Cabinets in kitchen were so gross and the toilet wouldn’t flush. What a waste of money. Do not believe the lies in the ad!

I found them on Google and kept my fingers crossed, and I couldn't have gotten luckier. We bought from out-of-town, so we relied on PJ and his team for FaceTime home tours and were entirely dependent on their expert eye — which they provided in spades. Everyone PJ recommended was super great, especially the lender. We had last-minute changes like a remote notary and revised closing date which he accommodated like a pro. His negotiation on the price and extras was also very successful and appreciated. This is my second home buying experience, I know what can go wrong, and don't take their skills and kindness for granted.

Experiencia positiva: Review from someone just having moved in... The interactions with Trautman Real Estate were straightforward. Whomever I spoke with was polite and patient. The only reason I don't give five stars is because there were occasional hiccups in communication. I suspect they were technology related, but they were hiccups nonetheless. I would have no reservations working with them again.

Everything from move-in to move-out was smooth during the two years of stay at one of Trautman PM's (formerly Champaign County Realty) managed properties. Kimberly returns emails within a day most of the time, and she does her best to accommodate any requests like early move-in). The maintenance requests submitted through Appfolio were promptly taken care of. Although I have never talked to PJ directly, he has also been super responsive over emails. Out of all the leasing experiences in Champaign, this has been my favorite. I wish to be back with Kimberly and PJ in the future.

Experiencia negativa: Took $100 from us for background checks when we were looking for August rentals (I made this very clear up front and repeated it multiple times ) only to tell us after they ran the background checks that they were renting the properties immediately. If your agent makes this kind of mistake then they need to refund the background checks because I feel like this company stole $100 from me and my husband. And looking at some of their other reviews this is not the first time it has happened. I would be very cautious applying with this company. They seem very unprofessional and very disorganized

Experiencia fantástica: Phil Curry has represented me in purchasing several homes in Champaign, and he has managed my properties the entire time I've owned them: several years now. Phil is amazing on every level: from knowing the market, to negotiating prices, to overseeing inspections, to closing a deal. His communication is exemplary, which is especially important to me, as I live out of state. Since helping me buy my homes, Phil has gone on to manage them for me, and he is remarkable in this respect as well. Phil informs me, in advance, of all maintenance issues. He has found great tenants for all of my properties, and he has kept my properties in tip-top shape: all while bringing in a great rental income. I would trust no one but Phil Curry and the Trautman team with my properties. I recommend them on all real estate and property management matters 100%!!

How about you give people their money back instead of wasting their time. Not to mention the amount of times i was told i would get a call and me or my hubby never got one. Unprofessional scam artist. But thanks to you, we found the perfect place. Just a warning to others.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been renting my home from Champaign County Realty since 2020 and Kim, PJ, the maintenance guys, and just everyone I have talked to have been awesome! I've really have had the best experience with this company so far! I had my AC go out on a holiday weekend at the beginning of September so I sent and email around 10pm on a Sunday and 1st thing Monday morning (which was a holiday) one of the maintenance men called and said I'm on my way! I was so surprised and grateful! They are very thorough and make sure they get things fixed ASAP! Also, they come around every spring & winter just to make sure all of the appliances electricity (down to light switches) are in good working order for me! It really is a great company! They also give you your privacy and always let you know well in advance if they are coming to do anything needed! I love my home because it truly feels like my home because Champaign County Realty has made sure if there's anything they can do to make it better, they will! I DEFINITELY recommended them for your next rental! Also, their rent prices are great! As a single mother it feels great to have a great home that I can afford and my kids are just as proud of our home as I am:) I plan on staying here as long as I can and if for some reason I HAVE to move I will definitely speak with Kim or PJ about finding another place!

He's helping my brother find financing for home accessibility, which is not his job but he does that because he cares about his customers. They have a wide variety of types of properties for rent and for sale. The property they were able to provide for the family that needed placed was nicely remodeled and they have been helpful when the family needs maintenance. Great customer service, and great people.

Experiencia negativa: Scheduled a showing, they didn't show or respond to calls at all. Received an email several hours later asking why we never showed up to an address they had never mentioned before at all, saying that we got the address wrong, despite them confirming the address we went to multiple times. Acted like they had mentioned the new random address several times, despite it never coming up before. Awful attempt at a bait and switch, and huge waste of our time.

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend renting from this place. Charged us $1,000 to paint after we moved out for damage that was there when we moved in. They continuously had a charge added to our account, didn't make us aware of a "sewer bill" we would have to pay every month, and then changed the stipulations on it frequently. Very inconsistent and seemed to be trying to rip us off every chance they got.

Experiencia negativa: WORSE rental company you will ever work with. Troutman and his associates are complete crooks. They break urbanas rental laws without a blink. YOU CANNOT CHARGE $10 A DAY FOR LATE FEES IN URBANA. THERE IS A MONETARY LIMIT. Honestly if you rent from his company, good night and good luck. The owner responded by saying to avoid this, don't pay the rent late. STOP VIOLATING RENTAL LAWS IN URBANA.

Experiencia fantástica: I purchased my home in 2009 with PJ Trautman by my side through the whole process. It was my first time buying a home and as a single mother of 2, a bit of a scary move. PJ thoroughly explained all the details to ease my worries and a few short months later, I was moved in. Recently, I saw a house for sale online and I called PJ to set up a time to meet me. He met me that afternoon and we put in an offer. As crazy as it sounds, I had no intention of moving but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to buy that house. Long story short, I didn't buy the house. The point is, no matter what stage of home buying I'm in, PJ has helped me understand what steps need to be taken to get me where I want to go. I still live in a house I love and when I'm really ready to move, I know who I'm giving my business to.
