We first met Marcel in 2015 when we decided to move back to NH from Texas. He guided us away from some locations and toward others. We are so happy with our house and its location. This year (2021) we found ourselves in need to sell 3 rental properties owned by my elderly parents. Marcel’s experience with rental/investment properties has been invaluable to us. This was a daunting task to us as two of the properties were not in very good shape. Marcel’s professionalism, knowledge, and guidance helped us to sell all 3 rental properties in just a few months.

We were told a realtor by the name of Marcel Bartley came highly recommended and knew who the area well. Having been in sales for over 40 years I know when I am dealing with someone I can work with and trust and this seemed to be the guy. After discussing the type of home we wanted, Marcel went to work previewing some and setting up visits for us. During many of the visits Marcel would point out the benefits of a home along with it's deficiencies with possible downside cost scenarios. We always felt Marcel would always have our best interest in mind and never compromise these standards to make a sale. We eventually found a home in York and Marcel guided us through the whole process effectively. A few months after we moved in Marcel would check in and made me aware of the homestead tax break that I was unaware of in Maine, saving us hundreds of dollars in property taxes. Over the past six years we have kept in touch as Marcel has recommended several contractors he uses on his own properties. When we think of Marcel we think of someone who continues to help us today with the same professionalism and integrity he did seven years ago.

Experiencia fantástica: Let me preface this by saying, we have never written an on-line review. In this case, with Marcel, we feel the need to make an exception. We got actively back in the market after having to cancel the last year of our 4 year travel plans in our Motorhome (due to COVID). We remembered Marcel from looking at a house he had listed a couple of years ago. So, we contacted him, and are we glad we did! Marcel is a true professional. He knows every aspect of the business: the market, buying, selling, renting, building, land, etc. In every case, when we came in contact with another agent while looking at houses, their regard for Marcel was apparent. He is highly respected in the field. We were looking in the toughest buyer’s market imaginable during the Summer of 2020. Marcel kept us from letting the frustration overwhelm us. He was always positive, always responsive and always provided all the information we needed. After being outbid on two homes, and feeling like we should settle for less and compromise on what we really wanted, Marcel was vigilant in helping us find the right house. When the right house presented itself, we knew we didn’t want to lose it. Marcel worked closely with us to put a bid together. Two days later we were elated to be home owners. About a week after closing, Marcel contacted us to check that we were still happy with our purchase and to make sure there were no issues that we needed help with. Since then, we have asked for advice on everything from insurance agents, trades people, to local retail. The recommendations from Marcel have been spot on. He is now more than a former business associate. He and his wife are now friends.
