Experiencia negativa: This review is specifically for Brandon parsons as a property manager. Overall bad experience. Started out with many issues with the property I rented but was willing to look past as I knew I wasn’t planning on resigning. Communication was lacking unless it was time to pay rent. One example is I had brought up multiple times that the sink leaked and he did nothing about it until it came time to show it to new tenants and it was fixed. When it came time to get my security deposit back I asked if he wanted to do a walk through and as he had been in it recently he said there was no need and I would get my deposit back as I kept the appt in good shape. 3 months later and 10 phone calls and countless texts I get the deposit back with $175 taken out with no explanation at all. He is no longer returning my calls. He is running a scam taking advantage of young people as he knows they don’t have the means to take legal action. Stay away.

If you are new to the area or here for school look no further. She has great local knowledge and is very helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve rented 4 homes through St. Augustine realty in the past 8-10 years. I have always been impressed with their professionalism and rentals. I recently just moved into another one of their rentals and couldn’t be happier. When I rent from them, I know I’m walking into a solid, clean, nice home and can depend on them to always be straight forward, helpful and present when needed. You don’t have to worry about random drop ins or people entering your home without consent. If there’s something you’re not happy with, they will fix it within reason. Before moving into my new home, it got all new maintenance, fresh paint and the carpets were professionally cleaned. I’ve never had any issues renting from them. Service request have always been handled immediately and efficiently. My deposit has always been returned or transferred to the next rental - as long as you leave the home in the same shape you got it. The rental market is a dog eat dog world and it’s refreshing to know you can trust someone in times like this. I will continue to rent from them over anyone else. The peace of mind is worth it.

Experiencia negativa: This will be my first negative review of any business. Typically I would respect that everyone could have a difficult day but my experience with James Brown and Saint Augustine Realty has left me with extreme disappointment and considering seeking assistance from an attorney. I consider James Brown and his mother to be unprofessional, unethical and non-responsive for their clients. But most disappointingly, I have witnessed James making unfounded accusations and claims creating any justification to keep a renters deposit, and then asking for more money. I suspect this is extra padding in their pockets for all tenants upon departure. It may be particularly worse for young tenants, I am suspecting, based on conversations with prior tenants, this is a typical practice by James. I would not recommend doing business with James and I would discourage any Flagler College student or their families from dealing with St Augustine Reality. If you do rent from St Augustine Realty, please have photos, upon move-in, to document the problems with their property prior to moving in. Then document all issues with the property over email, followed by any resolution that may or may not take place. Do not accept “ I can’t be there to walk through the property with you on move out day as I am busy” because that opens the door for them to send you a letter later with unfounded accusations this allowing them to keep your deposit and asking for more.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely horrible. They do not reply to service concerns, they pass documented damages from previous tenants on to new renters. They are running a business on lies and taking advantage of college students.

Experiencia negativa: I had such a horrible experience with this agency. We rented a property for our son for 1 year. The place was in horrible condition. No problem, it was for college kids, however, they refuse to return any of the deposit claiming our boys had caused damages that had been poorly repaired by previous tenants or repair people. Total scam. We have photos to prove our boys' innocence. I Do NOT recommend using this company James is the worst!
