I am so grateful that she took the time to show me the area, and different homes to get an idea of what I needed. By showing me a variety of homes she was able to pin point what was most important to me and for our growing family. When our home came up for listing Michelle literally contacted me within minutes on a Saturday afternoon to ask what my schedule was to set up an appointment to see it. Michelle was able to secure me an appointment before the open house the very next morning before I had to go to work. Some of the reasons why I would definitely recommend Michelle and the Berkshire Hathaway team....... Michelle also provided me with a portfolio that had all the listings that I would be viewing so I could make an educated decision when I got home to compare each home. Being able to sit down and compare each property away from all of the excitement of looking at houses was a huge plus for me. When you first start the process you already have an basic idea of what is on your list. What I didn't realize was what I said that I wanted and what I really needed were two different things. I saw several listings online and thought that they "Were the one". What I didnt realize was that several I had seen online had corner lot. Michelle was great to point out the pros and cons of each listing. Or one in particular had a foundation issue and yet I didn't see it at first or from the pictures. There was also a home that I looked at that was surrounded by rental properties that unless you knew the area you would never know that. Michelle knew the area since she is part of the community, so her opinion made a huge difference to me. With two small children I want them to grow up in a consistent community. Knowing about the surrounding area, schools, downtown area is so important when you are putting down roots. Part of the home buying process is having an appraisal done on the property. Michelle was able to reccomend a local appraisal company called Pillar to post. Richard was at our potential home 30 minutes early and was starting the inspection. Michelle was there from the start asking questions on my behalf to make sure everything was sound. Richard walked Michelle and I through things he would correct, like drainage and caulking. The day of the closing Michelle and I did a final walkthrough before heading to the Title company to sign paperwork. Taking that extra time to make sure that everything was in order was wonderful. It shows that she invests in her clients and focuses on making the community as well amazing as it is. With Michelle I got the best of both worlds, she is knowledgeable about the area, school system, the town but also the inner workings of a property and the maintenance that goes into it. She looked over every inch of the property , tested water pressure, looked at the tub,sinks and under counters . I don't know of many realtors that go above and beyond like that. She treated our new home as if she was buying it herself. The level of commitment and service that Michelle and the Berkshire Hathaway team provide is invaluable.
