They will harass you, make you pay for something you already have, they don't give refunds or credit if you pay too much of something. They don't fix things the proper way. So beware if you choose to rent from them

She helped Me immediately, from the first moment of contact with First Realty she has been a God-send! Getting Me into my home within 24 hrs due to an emergency move situation that I was in. Some months after moving in, She understood when my job changed and allowed time for Me to get caught up. She always responds to my calls/vcmls and emails in a timely manner. I'm grateful to have found First Realty and I'm a tenant for as long as I live in OH!

Experiencia fantástica: When I purchased two investment properties in Dayton several years ago, I simply stayed with the existing Property Management company associated with the seller — but it turned out to be incompetent. Time after time, I thought we had things straightened out, but yet another disaster would occur. Personal responsibilities where at a peak for me when I knew I had to get out, and I didn’t know where to turn. Fortunately, through a referral, I found myself talking to Rod Literal at First Realty Group, Inc. — they saved the day! With a couple signatures from me, they did all the interfacing with prior PM and the renters —and I didn’t lose the renters in the transition. Naturally, there were a few more steps and wrinkles to getting all billing and banking matters transitioned, but the financial folks at FRG are accessible, and resolved things quickly. They’d promised to manage things so completely that I would be relieved of my PM headaches, and they did! I am so grateful!! I recently decided to sell one of my properties, which FRG handled as well. FRG is exceptionally professional, from A to Z! Thank you, FRG!

Experiencia negativa: I called to see if they would be willing to rent to me with an eviction on my record. Instead of answering the question the woman asked me about what I was looking for, suggested 2 properties at the top of my price range & encouraged me to tour & apply for both homes. When the call ended I realized I never got an answer so I checked their site & they don't allow those with evictions to rent. This is the first time anyone had tried to trick me into wasting my time & money to apply for a home or apartment they knew they wouldn't allow me to rent. It's truly disgusting to meet my honesty with a lie & attempt to scam me out of an application fee.

Experiencia negativa: Rented me a house which was nice for almost 2 years except the sheriff showed up to let us know we had to get out because the house was foreclosed and now they are reporting a late rent charge on my credit definitely stay away! Currently working on a class action lawsuit against them!

Ive never had any problem asking for different maintenance issues and they are prompt and polite. This is a great company to rent from and i would recommend them to anyone who is looking to rent well maintained properties.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible rental company to rent from, It's a shame that there are as many Con Artist in the world. They prey on those with low credit ratings. They never fixed anything properly if at all. Run for your life. Or just wait for the right thing to open. Don't waste your time.

Experiencia negativa: Unprofessional. As an out of state property owner I need to build rapport with a responsive, honest PM. Within a day of our first conversation Rod forgot to send me paperwork, misrepresented the terms of his contract and subtly blamed me for his errors. Just say no.

Experiencia negativa: Lived in a property managed by first reality for 2 years. The first year was fine. But when the only source of heat for the kitchen, living room and front 2 bedrooms " a pellet stove" failed at the end of our first winter I sent a work order in for it. That was around April. In September it hadn't been addressed so I started calling the office. I was assured they were "working on it" by mid November nothing had been done. Early December still nothing. My family got to come to my house for Christmas and sit around a space heater. My pellet stove was replaced early January but wasn't hooked up till early February. It was replaced with a wood burner that cost me $300 a month in firewood. Finally at the end of my lease I scheduled a move out inspection. Which I left work early for. Nobody showed up... Even though I got my full deposit back. It took five and a half weeks to get it. And they "forgot to sign the check" all in all I left work early more than 6 times only to be disappointed every time. I met the owner of the property and he was a great person. I feel bad for him knowing this is the kind of service he is receiving from this poorly managed company. Good luck to anyone renting from first reality

Experiencia negativa: I lived on Marot Drive Dayton for a little over 5 years and halfway through my month-to-month (MTM) lease (about 3 yrs), the property changed hands to 1st Realty Group. I served the owner Rod, a written 30 day notice to vacate and he scheduled Jolene to come out and inspect the property. She made me sign a blank move-out piece of paper that was not filled out descriptively and verbally told me that I should receive my deposit back because no issues were found; everything looks good (normal wear and tear on carpet) I should have known better than to sign a blank piece of paper that the shameful owner can add ANY deductions he wants to in his office. In a move-out inspection, tenants NEED to have them state in writing that no issues were found AND take a picture of the move-out inspection before finally leaving them once and for all ***Future Tenants---get them to state in writing during move-out inspection; that there are no issues before you leave the property AND take a picture of the document*** Obviously 1st Realty Group doesn't have your back but I do. After a little over 3 weeks later, I received a next to nothing check for my security deposit of $300 minus random deductions for 'foliage' on the outside of the property and window sills unclean (what is the point of a move-out inspection if the owner is going to micromange the puppets they send out to their properties?) I asked the office for a copy of the move-in inspection that I documented of the overgrown 'foliage' back in 2012 and these stooges stated that they didn't have that in my files. (how surprising) ***make copies or take pictures of every paperwork you give to these crooks if you EVER decide to rent from them*** They WILL BE the judge, jury, and executioner when it comes to making deductions without merit. When I told Rod I'm leaving a bad review for him online, he told me to be 'careful' and forwarded my email to an absurd legal attorney account trying to intimidate me with a potential civil lawsuit for defamation/libel. What defamation is there when YOU are the one without paperwork the tenants hand you? What do you have to say about missing paperwork in your tenant files Rod?? Would you imagine yourselves trying to evict somebody in the court of law with no lease agreement or other pertinent documents because you failed to do your due diligence when taking over properties from a different management company? What other properties do you not have in your physical possession their move-in inspections??? This company is ready to deduct any amount they wish upon move-out based on my experience. Any current renter needs to follow the above advice or risk losing your security deposit!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been with First Realty for almost 11 years and I have never had an issue that was not corrected pretty quick. Is it possible they treat the other 99.9% of their tenants really bad? I guess it is possible. Just highly improbable. So I don’t believe the rag reviews.

Experiencia negativa: Do not rent or do any type of business with this company. They are fraudulent, they are slumlords, and they don't care about their property. I had to move from one of their properties after only being there 2 months due to black mold that was causing health issues. They moved me to another property that was having issues they still to this day have not properly fixed. I have been receiving emails after emails about how they have processed a loan applications for homeownership for me about this house and need my signature quick as possible. They did not call me ask my permission, give me a sales price, or return any of my calls after calling several times regarding these emails and letters I was receiving. The prices may look affordable but it's not worth it. Find a landlord that cares for their property, respects you as a tenant, and not scamming or forcing you into something you don't want. It's all about money with them they don't care what they move you into or what stress they cause to your life from their rental property.

Experiencia negativa: My gutters need to be fixed and my house painted. It was started but not finished. It has been almost a year now since anyone has touched it. I have a stranger coming and taking pictures of the house and they have been notified by the city. I am fed up. My basement is flooding when it rains and no one has done squat. I am an excellent tenant who really doesn't deserve any of this.

Experiencia negativa: Unprofessional, all over the place... No one shares the same information there. Everyone is on a different page. They have a problem with mold in the house I rented complained about it 5 times. Guy finally came out after standing me up after I took off work to be there...scrubbed off surface mold said he would have to come back because the mold is in the walls apparently No one thought to put up green board in a bathroom. And the problem still remains. So I then put in my 30 days notice after speaking with someone in the office who had told me that was all I needed to do and 2 weeks after I got a call saying I couldn't put in my 30 days notice. That I had to stay there for the remainder of the lease which was 2 more months. Mind you they have black mold in the house. I think I'll be calling the health dept. They will not get any reccomendation from me.
