Fantastic experience: We had the absolute please of working with Zach Peck during our recent home buying journey and I cannot recommend them highly enough! They took the time to truly understand what we wanted between the home and land and ensured to tailor their tools to find and send us potential properties. The tools they use would often send us listings that weren’t even available yet on the common listing sites such as Zillow which help to get in the home early. The housing market in the Lansing area has been very slow and tough to understand the impact it had and values and number of home sales but Zach and his team were always there to provide us updates on the market and often included stats and market analysis. I never once felt like Zach was ever trying to just “sell me a home”. They were quick to point out any issue or potential issues and the amounts of work or money that may be needed to fix/replace. While Zach may not be a certified home inspector, I felt very comfortable relying on them for information about the houses. Zach and his team are hardworking, dedicated and always quick to respond to any questions. When we looked at our final home, the home we purchased, we only had two hours to decide to place an offer. Zach was able to get us a market analysis of the home to help us decide how much we believed it was worth and an aggressive but realistic amount on how much we should offer without exceeding an estimated value. They were able to get the offer drawn and submitted by the deadline which resulted in the acceptance of our offer. The post Acceptance experience was just as great. Zach worked diligently in working with the sellers realtor to set mindful expectations for us and the sellers. I received regular updates throughout closing process and Zach made it seem very easy. Even after closing Zach has been quick to any questions. Again, I could not recommend Zach and their team highly enough. I will be going back to them for any future transactions and recommend them to all my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Prior to Zach helping us, we had another realtor selling our home who was not giving us any updates, guidance, and was also non responsive to a lot of the questions we had. This was unacceptable, so we hired Zach to sell our home for us. Comparing Zach to the previous realtor was like night and day!! He came in and immediately started explaining numbers and statistics to us, which we really appreciated. He had a professional photographer stage the home electronically and took wonderful pictures as well as offered a 3d view and dimensions of the rooms. Fantastic experience: Zach, is an exceptional realtor. We worked with him for about 3 months. During that time he was nothing but patient and encouraging as we looked for the perfect home for us. Whenever we got discouraged or questioned if we were being too picky, he was nothing but positive and reassuring. He always made sure that we weren't settling, and made time in his busy schedule. I'm a very indecisive person but he made the house hunting process easier and fun. Even after we found our house, Zach has stayed in contact with us, ensuring that the move in process has been smooth. He has also provided contacts for work we want done. All in all, he's a wonderful realtor that I would highly recommend to everyone and is at the top of the PECKing order.

Fantastic experience: Buying a house is no easy task, but Peck Realty makes it one of the easiest things I have ever done. For starters Solee, the office manager, responded to an inquiry I put on Trulia within the hour (I am pretty sure the office was closing at that point as well). The soonest I heard back from any other realtor was about 2 days after the inquiry; needless to say I did not feel like a valued customer. Solee immediately set up an appointment within the week. I met Zack Peck at a house I found myself a few days prior. The house was absolutely horrendous; it looked nothing like the pictures and I felt as though I was wasting Zach’s time with my business. I will never forget that experience but not because of the house. I knew absolutely nothing about real estate, mortgages, or even owning a house. But Zach took me very seriously from the get go, even though I was looking at really cheap homes; he immediately knew how to get me started. That night he sent me well over 100 houses, the name of a great mortgage broker, and other helpful information. A mortgage broker was not the only person Zach set me up with, he had resources for everything: inspector, roofer, dumpster rentals, you name it. A realtor having resources is nothing special and you should expect it, but he had tons of options available to me. I highly advise you to take his recommendations into consideration, especially if you have zero experience in real estate. By the next week, I had everything set up for me and I felt more empowered when it came to finding the right house. I was a first time buyer and was purchasing with an FHA loan no less, so I was ready for a long drawn out process. But Zach stuck with me the entire time; we viewed about 40 houses before we found the one for us. Zach is incredibly honest, he does not sugar coat things; he is certain about repairs within a couple hundred dollars. He is also incredibly knowledgeable of the area and is very good at negotiating with listing agents. During our time together, I lost two homes to cash buyers but I will always remember what the owner of Peck Realty, Jeff Peck, told me one of the first days, “Well, things happen for a reason. You will find the right one eventually.” It seems a tad cliché, but it turns out he was correct; I did find the perfect house and I am happier with it than the 2 I lost. However, this transaction was not without its faults. Zach recommended a final walk through of the house before closing; good thing he did, as it turns out that one of the stipulations for the contract was not completed. Had I not done the walk through I would have purchased a less than satisfactory house. I was absolutely furious that it delayed closing; however, Zach remained level headed and helped me through every step of the way. Everything was corrected as I wanted and Zach kept in contact with me daily with updates. In regards to availability, I honestly forgot that he had other clients because it seemed like he always had time to meet with me. Several family members wanted to visit the house throughout the closing process, and he was available every time to view it with us. I cannot mention how available he was enough; for the few weeks I visited all the houses, I saw Zach more than my own family. My experience with Jeff Peck Realty has been so positive that I have convinced people to move to the area because they wanted the same experience. I do not think I could recommend them more than I already do, and now I have ridiculously high standards for real estate agents. Moreover, when I sold the house, I chose Peck Realty as well. Zach did a phenomenal job as expected. Thank you for everything, Peck Realty. I hope I can do more business with you in the future!

Fantastic experience: As a single mother I was extremely nervous about the home buying process as I would be making this very important decision on my own. It was important for me to find someone that I felt truly cared about his clients and wasn’t just out to make money. When researching possible realtors I ran across Zach online and read through his reviews and made the decision to reach out. I had previous discussions with other realtors and had even met up with one, but they weren’t what I was looking for. All I can say is that I couldn’t be more thankful for the amazing people who took the time to describe their personal experience with Zach before me. Zach is amazing!!! I feel in my heart he had my children and my best interest at heart at all times. He never let me feel like I was alone in this process or that I bothered him at all and helped me make an informed decision always. Fantastic experience: Zach was amazing to work with. We were first time house buyers and Zach walked us through every step of the process and made it easy. He was always very responsive and honest about how he felt about all of the properties we viewed, and the obstacles we may run into. When it came time to put in the offer we knew Zach would make sure we were taken care of. He has been a helpful source of information during and after the buying process. We love our house and couldn't be happier. But if we get to a point where it is time to move again we will 1000% be using him again.

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to work with Zach Peck during this crazy market & he was amazing! I had a very strict time line of 2.5 months for finding a house because I am pregnant and in my last trimester. Zach assured me that he would find a home for my family and I before I birthed my baby girl & that’s exactly what he did! We probably looked at over 20+ houses and even when I felt like settling because I was tired of looking he reassured me that a house I would love is out there & for us to keep looking, mind you during this time he was getting married and still managed to keep up with all the showings I wanted to go to. When he couldn’t make it he sent his father to the show me the homes and I was so grateful for that. So we finally found my house 4th of July weekend & Zach made one of the most daring offers we had made pushing for the sellers to get back with us ASAP. Two days later he called me saying our offer was accepted & I couldn’t believe it! He helped me set up an inspection with 2 days & the inspectors were amazing as well. They did a thorough job and he was able to use the info to negotiate $5000 towards our closing & $2000 off our offer price. Overall the process of looking for homes was beyond great! He was super helpful with staying on top of my lender & keeping me updated. Fantastic experience: I am a first time home buyer and I didn't know anything about buying a home. Zach Peck was my realtor and he is the absolute best. He asked me what I wanted in a home and I told him. Every house that was shown to me he would ask me what I liked and disliked. I would get discouraged and Zach was always there to explain. Fantastic experience: UPDATE June 2021 My positive review from 2015 stands as Zach Peck of J.S. Peck Real Estate continues to be a wonderful agent. My wife and I have since moved from Lansing but kept our home there (my parents currently live in it). Several times over the past 5-6 years I have been in contact with Zach as we have considered selling and/or just had general questions about the market. Even though we have not decided to put it on the market as of yet, Zach has treated us as well as he did when we went through our initial purchase process; prompt, professional, courteous, patient... everything that made the experience great back then. Besides my parents residing in it (we are trying to get them to a warmer climate state) we have also been indecisive about selling because we have grown to really love the house and our neighborhood. We are incredibly happy and fortunate to have found it through Zach's searches and recommendations, and the information he provided us when we bought it. I can say with confidence that when the time comes to sell we will certainly work with Mr. Peck and his associates again. Original 2015(???) review on Zillow. My wife and I lucked out being directed to the Peck’s when searching for homes through Zillow. Our agent was Zach, Jeffrey’s son. We (wife and I) are both very type A when it comes to certain matters; home buying it turns out, is one of them. This was especially the case since we were looking to buy in Michigan from out of state. We didn’t want to waste time, or to have our time wasted. Throughout the process, Zach was very patient, communicative, and pleasant to work with despite our incessant inquiries, needs to know things 5 minutes ago, and probably seemingly off the wall requests… close up pictures of the hardwood floors? Under sink areas? (I like to see what condition floors were kept in and if there is water damage / pest evidence respectively) No problem! I’d like to think that we are very particular, but I can imagine that it was trying at times (if not all of the time). Any time spent communicating with Zach was valuable. It took two trips into Michigan to find a house… not for lack of trying on Zach’s part; an offer made after our first visit didn’t work out, but on a second trip we found the house we were looking for, a suggestion that Zach had found for us, based on our input. Each trip he was willing to put in the time and effort that we were, which lead to some long days. Throughout the search process Zach did not push us to make a sale for his benefit. We were blunt in asking his opinions on things (quality of the properties, time to be spent trying to close as a couple were foreclosures, long term plans, etc.), and he offered them honestly. His financial, mechanical/construction, and area knowledge of the homes we were looking at was considerable, and if he didn’t know something offhand, he found out quickly for us. When it came to making and completing a deal on the home, Zach and his dad were knowledgeable of people in the area to get tasks done, and done well. While I would be (and at the time was a bit) skeptical of anyone who “knows a guy,” I can say that I have total confidence in the people that Zach suggested, and will be contacting references he has provided for our own future home improvement desires. The Peck’s motto “We earn success… one closing at a time,” is an accurate one. They worked incredibly hard for us while giving us the attention and efforts as if we were their only clients. They certainly earned our business and praise. We highly recommend them, and wish Zach the best for a long career in real estate.
