After my divorce, the next house I bought was with Heather Maddox, and I swore then that I’d never use another realtor. Soon after I needed to move again in order to stay close to my kiddos. I told told Heather what my goal was, and despite the tall order, Heather stepped up to the plate. Shortly after, Heather called me with EXACTLY what I was looking for. Only problem? I had to sell my own house immediately to make it happen. Most people would panic. Heather? She basically said, “Hold my lockbox.” She told me everything I needed to get done, and then listed my house with lightning speed, staged it like a boss, and somehow got it sold so fast. Not to go unnoticed, my home sale was what kicked off a four-house contingency chain. That’s right - my sale triggered a real estate Rube Goldberg machine, and Heather orchestrated the whole thing like a real estate maestro. She was calm, strategic, funny, and borderline psychic the entire time. Beyond all of those things, she was NOT a real estate agent/broker - she was a real estate partner! As first time hone buyers who were wary of realtors and anxious about the whole selling process, I cannot recommend Heather and her team enough. My husband and I kept remarking, she really is in her lane! First, her communication was incredible! Weekly emails with updates all along the way, frequent texts & calls when there were questions that required more than a text. We didn't have to follow up with Heather and her team, they reached out preemptively and answered our questions before we could even get a chance to ask them! We would wonder, "what feedback are we getting back from our showings" and they would let us know the feedback, and what steps they were taking to correct it before we would even ask! I didn't even talk to any other agents because I just had this gut feeling that she was the one for me... and that gut feeling was right! Fantastic experience: Frankly put, Heather was the best thing that happened to us during our home buying process. I truly believe this is the reason we were able to find our dream home. As first time homebuyers in one of the most competitive markets in the nation, my husband and I were doubtful if we would be able to buy a home that checked all our boxes, especially with less cash on hand than many other players in the market. Heather talked us through all the complexities of buying a home - what is an inspection contingency, when does it make sense to do your own pre-inspection, how do appraisals and appraisal gaps work, what makes a competitive offer in this landscape, etc. She also referred us to her preferred lender Ryan Johannes @ Caliber Home Loans who was also an incredible partner throughout this process. I called her off a referral from a friend, she was super nice and clearly laid out her process and next steps, which made me way more comfortable since this was my first time buying a house, I'm young and wasn't sure if I would be taken seriously, and was just really nervous about making this big purchase.
