Fantastic experience: I worked with Brent when we bought our condo this summer in La Jolla. Brent was so professional, showed incredible integrity and his communication skills are the best. An example of how he treats his clients is best shown through the following example.. Several days after closing on the property, I realized I misplaced the key to the front door and I was going to be unable to gain entry without it. Brent had told me that if I ever needed anything during or after the close of the property to feel free to call him for assistance.anytime. I also knew he had a. Spare key to the door that he was going to give to me at a later date. Well I decided to call him that morning. I did not realize that he had left for a Family trip to Australia. When I called it was 2 AM in Sydney and he picked up the call and asked me what was up and how could he help. At first I didn't realize he was in Australia plus 19 hours from La Jolla. When I did I apologized and he said it was no problem and solved the issue by putting me in contact with his father (in La Jolla) who would gladly meet with me to give me the key to the condo. Did Brent have to pick up the call while on vacation in Sydney (after the close of the condo?. No.Did he have to reach out to his dad to solve the problem for me? No. I believe this is a perfect example of a Realtor walking the walk and talking the talk. So if you are in the market to buy or sell property in La Jolla. Although the decision to make a major move (including selling our home in San Diego County and purchasing a home in another state) in conjunction with retirement was totally on us, the selection of a real estate professional to work with as well as the subsequent communications and ups and downs of selling the house was, as everyone seems to know, very stressful. For us, Brent was the perfect person to work with in this context. He communicated regularly and thoughtfully and clearly was putting in some serious effort to make the sale. He showed a keen awareness of the timing issues we faced, as we were doing our best to stay in sync with completion of construction of a new house in a different state. Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Brent as a buyer's agent. Looking at open houses I came across Brent showing a home that happened to be just what I was looking for. Although I arrived a few minutes past the open house time, Brent happily gave me a full viewing of the home. Other buyers were interested so I elected to use Brent as a dual agent to expedite getting an offer to the sellers. Admittedly I was a little uneasy jumping right into that but now I'm very happy I made that decision. Fantastic experience: My first conversation with Brent was right after my condo was taken off the market when the sale fell through early 2017, with a different agent, due to a 25K difference between the appraisal and offer price. I could not sell the property for a 25K loss, so it was taken off the market. I spoke to at least five agents that called me after it was taken off the market and all said what they could have done better, mentioned the ideas for the next time the property would be in the market, etc. but it was more of a sales pitch than anything else to me. Before we hang up, Brent asked me if he could follow up in a few months to see where I was in my decision process. He called consistently every three months to check in, gave me an update in the property market in the area, and would ask if I was ready to move forward. He was not pushy at all, mostly reassuring and providing me market information and options. My property had been rented for a few years and at the time we listed it in 2017 it wasn’t easy to deal with the sale attempt and the renter. In 2018, with Brent’s assistance, my renter was put at ease from the get go, I didn’t have to get involved with the showings, and Brent even stepped in as a mediator when the situation turned tense with my renter during the sale process. Brent made very valuable recommendations which help tremendously to get the maximum appraisal value for my property. In less than 12 months, Brent was able to manage a 50K increase in property value during the appraisal process! In addition, Brent made the sale process very quick and easy, his team was very professional, diligent and they kept me informed every step of the way. Fantastic experience: I hesitate to give referrals unless I believe that the reference would benefit someone. My husband and I just purchased a home in San Diego.
