Fortunately, my family had Alan on our side, which took much of the difficulty and frustration out of the equation. Fantastic experience: We met Alan at an open house in Cumberland, RI as the selling agent. We were so impressed by his knowledge of the property and how he handled the open house, that we asked him to be our buying agent. Alan is a workhorse. He set up viewings for us as far as Saunderstown, RI and as nearby as Plainville, MA. One time he even brought his kids to an open house when his wife was out of town because it was the only day that worked for us. He has a local grasp on the Bristol and Middlesex market, but does his research for any property. Alan also gave us great feedback and guidance as first time buyers. If we looked at a property that he knew did not match what we told him we were looking for, he would call out certain aspects of the property but let us make the final determination on viability. He answered all my questions, and trust me I had a lot. If he was not driving, he answered every text and was available for late night calls if needed. We ended up buying our dream first home and felt like we gained a lifetime friend versus an agent. The best part about Alan is even after we have purchased our home, he has stayed in contact. He is always updating us with the latest trends and just recently shared a "Spring Cleaning in the Home" article that was very helpful.
