11 months ago Fantastic experience: DJ is fantastic! We were selling a home out of state and DJ went over and above to help us with the transaction from before start to finish. There were some things we couldn’t do until after we had moved. DJ recommended 3rd party people to help with some renovations, estate sale and a whole bunch of miscellaneous details that we weren’t there to take care of. He and his team always kept us up to date and responded every time we had questions or challenges. I would recommend him all day long! I am a Realtor as well (out of state) so expected great service, and DJ didn’t disappoint!

But a buyer came along and in a 2week period it was sold, he helped us find the absolutely perfect new home, and we were moved!! He learned what we wanted and our tastes. He came into our home-selling process with an abundance of knowledge that he shared in very easy to understand and digest terms. 2 years ago Negative experience: We secured DJ as our realtor in March of 2023, and it was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. During the process, we had several families interested in our home- one of them being a work colleague of DJ’s. After researching some comps in the area, my husband and I wanted to list our home for $ 460,000 but DJ strongly advised us to list it for $450,000 but I remained firm and said $460,000. He advised me of this because we had an older AC unit, even though it was working fine and had received regular maintenance by (Air Hawk). We accepted his colleagues bid of full price of $460,000. Once everything was agreed DJ insisted that we give the buyer $5,000 back for an a/c unit that was working fine. We were not happy about this at all but kept advising us that this would be an issue with all buyers. Throughout the entire process, DJ was more concerned about his work colleague than his client. Another example of this is he had given his colleague the code to our garage and the buyer was entering the home prior to closing. We were already out of state and my neighbors contacted us when they saw his client’s going into the house. I called his office and was told it didn’t happen when I clearly had witnesses. We reluctantly sold our home for $455,000 in May and just 5 months later, the home was on the market for $471,000, with all my upgrades and no A/C upgrade. Good realtors are honest. They understand the market and are supposed to work in the best interest of their clients, not their friends. If you are considering using DJ as your realtor, save yourself the aggravation that comes from dishonesty and deception. Continue your search. You’ll thank me later.
It took me a long time to respond to this review because, truthfully, I know my clients know the type of person I am. However, in today’s internet driven world, I understand that prospective clients may come across this and have concerns, so I want to take a moment to share my perspective.
These clients purchased their home at the height of the market and made significant renovations. Some of which pushed their investment beyond what the market could support at the time of their sale. I advised them of this, but they chose to move forward with their pricing strategy. When we ultimately accepted an offer from my colleague’s client, I was honestly impressed that the buyer agreed to pay the full asking price, as it was already above market value.
Regarding the A/C concession, the buyer’s own inspector flagged the unit as very old and at risk of becoming non-operational at any moment. As a new family, they were understandably hesitant to move forward without recouping some of the cost. Something that is very common in real estate transactions. Instead of canceling the contract altogether, the buyer chose to negotiate rather than walk away, which, in the end, still allowed my sellers to successfully close on their home at a strong price.
As for the claim about the garage code, I genuinely do not recall whether I provided it to the buyer. However, buyers are allowed to revisit the property before closing with their agent to measure rooms or confirm repairs. I always notify my sellers when a scheduled visit occurs, and it’s also possible that the buyer's agent used the lockbox to access the home. Regardless, I take these concerns seriously and would never allow unauthorized access to a client’s home.
Five months after my clients sold, the market had improved, which contributed to the home being listed for more than their sale price. Additionally, the new owner had to offer a $5,000 credit to their buyer for the same A/C unit—something that is not public knowledge but could be confirmed with the involved parties. The reality is that the seller in this case also had to pay a buyer’s agent commission to resell the home, along with covering miscellaneous repairs, meaning their actual profit was minimal.
Finally, I want to be completely honest—Gia, at closing, you were nothing but happy. I even have a photo that reflects that moment. To then take to the internet and attempt to damage my reputation is disappointing. If there was a real issue, the professional and mature thing to do would have been to reach out to me directly. That did not happen.
I take pride in my honesty, my work ethic, and the results I provide for my clients. I will always advocate for what is in their best interest, even when the market or circumstances present challenges. My track record and the relationships I’ve built speak for themselves.

2 years ago Negative experience: If I could give a lower star I would. DJ is the worst realtor I have ever dealt with. He preys on the people in the tanglewood community. He lowballs sellers well over 50k and more and then has his family member buy the house in their name and he flips it. He was never around during the selling process. Was on several vacations or just too busy. He locked my house in contract for months even after our signed contract. So no one else could sell my house. He left my keys in my mailbox without telling me. He had people go in my that would break stuff, dirty the house all up, pee on the floor, left trash. It was awful. He also wasn't showing the house to potential buyers. I found out from the new realtor I got. He lied to me on several occasions. I had to get his boss involved at remax. He does not do right buy the sellers. I also brought a property from him and was told many lies by him as well from the buyers side. My realtor and her supervisor had to step in. He is terrible. He is bottom of the barrel. His family has money so he doesn't care about the cost of this or have respect. He might be nice at first, but trust me do not get involved. I had months of headache with him.
I do not recall who this could possibly be. I run very professional operation and know my clients and have never transacted a property with who ever you are. This explanation of interaction is not one I recall. Possibly, you may have me confused with someone else. The idea that we let someone use the bathroom on the floor in your home is 100% not correct.

3 years ago Fantastic experience: Very professional. Only surprise, at closing, was an additional fee added at the end for " Real Estate Transaction fee to Re/Max Alliance Group of $295.00". This was above and beyond the 5% commission that was agreed to.

5 years ago Fantastic experience: I can not say enough great things about DJ and Lexi. I recommended DJ to my sister in law. He was so patient and took her to see so many houses. They sell fast so you have to jump and he did. She found a house and DJ got hers sold, and the new one purchased. He did everything, from finding a lender and insurance company, to helping her stage her home to sell. He and Lexi even helped her pack and clean on moving day! I highly recommend DJ , he really cares about his clients. In this day and age that is so hard to find.
