Negative experience: As unrepresented buyers who have chosen the route to use a real estate attorney for transactions, Lauren first vetted that we were professional, knowledgable, and interested, but after giving us the runaround, she was only willing to show the property during weekday daytime hours and said that this is because she reserves the evenings and weekends for personal time and for her own clients. (Although the seller is her client, no? Does she not want to sell for him?) This is unlike any interaction I've had with other realtors who have been more than happy to work evenings and weekends to sell for their clients. I personally would not consider Elevated Realty for this reason if I were selling. Update based on agent's response below: We did reach a point where Lauren determined we were serious buyers, but she limited our options to the point of an impasse. She had ample time during two phone calls to vet our buyer potential but chose to speak as if we were not worth her time. We are pre-qualified, have no home to sell, and are represented by a real estate attorney for any potential transaction. I still hold firm in my belief that Lauren was unprofessional in her lack of willingness to represent the seller's interests. To say she was not able to reach the point of determining key understandings is disingenuous and deserves serious reflection. She had every opportunity. Other agents have taken the time to ask those important questions upfront instead of making assumptions, as it appears Lauren did. To make an uninformed excuse for your partner is not ethical by any means, so I question the empty words behind your mission. I also see that you represented the current seller when he was the buyer of the property last year, and now he is selling it for a loss. Perhaps you are charismatic enough to maintain clients, but your results are not in their best interest financially, but to line your pockets with double commission instead. This is a huge reason why we choose to not work with a realtor - because it is a huge cost for not always the best representation.
