Negative experience: I am submitting this complaint regarding my experience with Alfida and Salbia and their rental application process. This is now the second time I have paid a $70 application fee, expecting my application to be processed and to receive updates regarding its status. Unfortunately, on both occasions, I received no communication from the company. Instead, I had to contact the office myself to ask for updates, only to be told that the property had already been rented to someone else. During my most recent experience, I went to the office early on Monday, completed my application, and paid the required $70 fee. Later, I found out through someone else—not through the company—that the home had been rented to a previous tenant. When I contacted the office, I was even told they could not find my name in their system, despite the fact that I had already applied and paid the application fee. At no point did anyone from the company call, email, or otherwise notify me that another applicant had been approved or that the property was no longer available. The lack of communication, organization, and professionalism has been extremely frustrating. Collecting application fees while failing to keep applicants informed is unfair and misleading. After experiencing the same issue twice, I no longer have confidence in this company’s application process and would not consider doing business with them again. I am also sharing my experience to warn other prospective renters so they can make an informed decision before applying. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated and that I be refunded both of my $70 application fees. I paid these fees in good faith, but I did not receive proper communication, a fair opportunity to rent the property, or the level of service that should reasonably be expected from a property management company.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of working with Loretta Keener at Coldwell Banker Alfred Saliba Realty to sell my property as I prepared for military retirement. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Loretta is a master negotiator who remained calm, professional, and firm even when dealing with difficult buyer's agents. She never let outside pressure affect the quality of her advice, ensuring my interests were always protected. Despite a slower start in the market, her patience and strategy paid off—we closed very close to the asking price without having to compromise significantly on fees or repairs. If you want an advisor who is responsive, highly skilled, and keeps a level head under pressure, I cannot recommend Loretta highly enough. She made a complex transition during my retirement much easier than I ever expected.

Negative experience: I had rental property with them. They rented out my home to a tenant. The tenant experienced a problem (?) and the rental company attempted to take care of the problem and then left me with the high bill without informing me first about the problem. The tenant wanted out of the rental agreement and wanted the deposit back. I was left out of the loop. Also, the stupidity of the problem and the rental company are why I sold my rental property so I don't deal with that, a tenant, or them again! I will NEVER have rental property in Dothan!

Negative experience: I personally did not have a good experience with Alfred Saliba Realty. DO NOT WORK WITH BOBBY ESTES I worked with Gary Saliba as my realtor, purchasing a home from another realtor at this company named Bobby Estes. Gary was very friendly and helpful and was willing to take time out of his day to help me in my home search, and I really appreciated it. My only issue with Gary was after being in contract for the property (being sold by Bobby Estes), I felt like he wasn't the best at keeping me up to date with progress on the property I was buying and making sure everyone was on the same page. When I confronted him about the lack of transparency you could tell he did not take it lightly. My main complaint is with Bobby Estes, another realtor at this company that was selling the home I was trying to buy. He was not able to fulfill his end of the contract and so I backed out of the contract. After talking to him personally over the phone, I asked him if I was at fault in any way for him not being able to fulfill his end of the contract on time and he told me know. He said there wasn't anything more I could have done to help him stay on track. YET, he refused to sign the mutual release allowing me to receive my full refund of my earnest money. Again he said I wasn't at fault for the contract not being fulfilled but BOBBY ESTES (don't work with him), still kept part of my earnest money. He did eventually give me 50% of my earnest money, but in the long run, he should have allowed me to get all my money back since HE was the one at fault. Ridiculous and very unprofessional. I suggest that no one over works with him, because he does not fulfill his end of the deal and will make you pay for his mistakes. Lastly, I would like to mention Robert Hewes. He was very friendly and understood my perspective and he claimed he agreed with my side of the issue. He tried multiple time to talk to Bobby Estes and convince him to provide me a full refund of my earnest money. My only complaint with Robert was that he told me he would get back to me as soon as he got more info, but I had to remind him each time and reach out to him to find out if he had talked to Bobby. Overall, I think the 3 biggest issues with this company were the lack of communication, and Bobby Estes. If they were better at providing updates, communication, and if they get rid of Bobby, it could be a great company.

I went to CB office and didn't know anyone there. Mrs. Kay was beyond helpful, such an absolute blessing and answer to prayer. The docs she helped with helped make everything official. We are forever thankful. God knew we needed Mrs. Kay today!

Negative experience: STAY AWAY!! From Day 1, we had issues with them building our home. From improper electric outlet placement, bolting our kitchen island to the floor facing the wrong direction, installing the incorrect shower in our guest bathroom making us lose a window, installing the WRONG HARDWOODS throughout our home, installing the incorrect countertops in the home, having to have the painters come out 4 times to fix paint issues, having to pick a different carpet after signing off on our choice because a cheaper company won the bid, to getting a “bad batch of brick” that completely looked different than what we had requested, to having to re-seed our own lawn after they laid dead grass down, to having a “delivery truck” leave a 4” divot in our front yard that we repaired ourselves, to putting the wrong house number on our home, to installing the incorrect hardware on all our drawers. I could go on, but I feel that’s a decent list to convince you to never contact this company. Everyone points fingers at others for why things are incorrect and nobody can give you a straight answer. We were told several times “you can’t expect it to be perfect”... but it’s a new construction home, it should be pretty darn close. I can’t imagine if we had been building this home while living out of town what we would’ve been walking into for the final walkthrough. DEMAND A KEY!!!! You will need to go out 2-3 times a week to check and see what they messed up. They will never meet you on a weekend or on a Friday afternoon. So be prepared to take off work for all meetings. We closed on our home November 16, 2020. Our original foreman (who we asked to replaced) “lost” our shelves for the corner cabinet in our kitchen. Our new foreman said they would get to us ASAP but that we should go ahead and close. Well on February 8, 2021, I texted him inquiring about our shelves since we still didn’t have them. He called me and told me he was having the painted the following day and would leave them on our porch that Friday. Well ONE MONTH LATER my husband sent another text to him saying “Our shelves?...” to which he called my husband stating “Sorry man, it’s just been raining so they haven’t been done”. Raining for an entire month? Once again, assured they’d be here in a week or so. Well here we are mid-April and we still don’t have shelves despite weeks of beautiful sunshine. It’s just really unfortunate we’ve been waiting 5 months for shelves that were lost. So I hope I’ve shed some light on these terrible business people and their values as a company. I would recommend doing your research & not just go with the “hometown people”, because they don’t care.

Negative experience: Literally the most shady rental company I’ve ever gone through. They will tell you anything about your deposit, cleaning fee and more. Get everything in writing that was my mistake. Especially Faye she will tell you anything and everything under the sun. And when it’s time to write your deposit check it’s I’m not sure what happen. I’m waiting for the owner of the property. Always excuses never doing the right thing.

Fantastic experience: Rented from them for 2.5 years before purchasing our house through them. Never had any trouble and our realtor was amazing!

Negative experience: Please do not waste your time if you want to rent. There are two lady’s. One is super nice and really wants to get the job done. The “Fay” lady..stay away from her at all cost. They disregard everything you say and if you have any household problems fix it yourself because by the time they finally remember about you, you could teach yourself. Terrible customer service and I will NEVER ever use these people again for renting.

Positive experience: Our realtor didn't really have to work for our purchase of the house. We saw our house, we wanted it and our mortgage company recommended him. We had in writing what we needed to be fixed BEFORE the close of the house; leaky faucets, toilet bowl, breaker box, etc.. anyway some of it was fixed however "the money ran out" which I understand but don't lead me to believe it's been fixed and then I find out AFTER the closing. My fault I should have inspected before I expected so joke is on me but I cannot recommend this business to my friend based on principle.

Negative experience: Lazy, unprofessional and basically stole my money because of a bad advertisement and their inability to follow through with a rental agreement.
