Negative experience: Talking about you must make 5x the rent, just ridiculous
Negative experience: Looked at one of their properties they’re charging $2200 a month for and it was absolutely disgusting.!!! I can see beyond the filth that can be cleaned up not that a new tenant should have to do that but I’m talking ceilings falling apart, bathrooms falling apart. Then I reached out in regards to another place that they have up for rent. I was just curious to see if this place was gonna be the same because their pictures online are very deceiving and this time not only did I send in my Zillow application that I’ve already paid for. They then wanted another application sent in that cost money before even looking at the place Then I came on here and read the reviews and it seems this company is just a dirty company literally I don’t know how they’re allowed to keep running. I am sick to death of these disgusting corporations up, charging these rentals, but no longer taking care of them and then they want to treat potential renters as scumbags because they may not have a perfect credit score maybe you people should take a look at your own selves. You don’t even know how to upkeep on your properties, but you want upstanding tenants. ??? yeah, good luck with that! and any positive reviews on here are obviously from their friends and family. It’s probably themselves writing the positive reviews because there’s no way that most of their places are falling apart and absolutely filthy but then there’s some that are just wonderful. no way I’m gonna reach out to whoever needs to be reached out to in regards to this company. We gotta stop letting these places get away with this!! Let me just add I own my own small business and there’s no way in hell that I would still be in business with reviews like this!
We take feedback regarding property condition very seriously and strive to ensure all units are ready for move-in prior to a new tenant taking possession. Regarding applications, our screening process and requirements are disclosed upfront on our listings and website so applicants understand the qualifications prior to applying. Unfortunately, not all third-party application platforms provide the information required for our screening process, which is why an additional application may sometimes be necessary.
We understand that the rental market can be frustrating, and while we know we are not perfect, we do work hard to maintain our properties and improve tenant experiences across a large portfolio of homes. We appreciate all feedback and use it to continue improving our processes and standards.

Negative experience: Awful people After paying the $20 for each of us I immediately got a rejection and saying I have a felony record which is completely untrue and a little lower credit score, I should have read all the reviews before applying and throwing $40 in the garbage, it's less than 900 a month and they think I can't afford my bills because of a credit score and a bankruptcy from when I was 23 years old, so almost 30 years ago Prepared to be the second coming of Jesus to rent a simple apartment with no closets and a space heater for the whole house, yes that's how desperate I am

If there is any information you believe is inaccurate—such as a criminal record—you do have the right to dispute this directly with the screening company so it can be reviewed and corrected if necessary.
Please note that application fees are used to cover the cost of these third-party reports and are non-refundable once processed. Additionally, denial notices may list multiple criteria, but only the item specifically marked is the reason for the decision.

Negative experience: I have been renting with them for almost 2 years now. And they have not helped with issues with the other tenant including her screaming, yelling and cussing at me and being very spiteful and not letting me use shared space. I have called and complained multiple times and all they do is give the other tenant notices about shared space rules. I have asked to be let out of my lease but they will not do so without penalties and say there is nothing they can do since there was no police report. I wouldn’t recommend renting here.
Fantastic experience: All houses are clean and present nicely and kindly
Negative experience: Awful company. Irish jones oversaw my apartment complex when we first moved in. They had told us that the building was up for sale and people would be coming to look around. BUT ONLY BY APPOINTMENT AND NOTIFICATION. There were countless times a random stranger walked into our actual apartment, not just complex. We have the biggest apartment in the complex and it has multiple entry ways. People would come in through our bedroom when I was SLEEPING, and our main door when I was WORKING. At a call center. And the people who showed up unannounced, didn’t understand that we weren’t notified. Looking back, I’m glad no one was hurt because literal strangers were coming into our home unannounced, and unbothered. I have PTSD as it is and when we told Irish jones every single time that this happened, they tried saying that my partner OPTED OUT OF BEING NOTIFIED. My partner and I looked at each other like why the hell would we do that and he doesn’t even know how. Then they would try and defend themselves, saying they notified us. When they only did maybe 3 actual legit times. I’m so glad they don’t oversee our complex anymore. Awful people and company.
Negative experience: The 3rd time my heat has gone out this year, without ever addressing the core issue. Renting from Irish Jones has been hell on earth. We moved into a home that I pay 3200$ a month for, and it was infested with mice. They’ll say “we saw no evidence,” but I’ve had independent companies that aren’t paid by them, as well as the health department come. Everyone said it was an issue prior to us being there based on the evidence they found. When I say infested, they crawled onto me in my bed several times. The stress of not being able to sleep caused me to go into premature labor. I now have a premature newborn in this home, and the heat is out again. My husband went to call Jarid from maintenance, to find out he was blocked. Yes, the emergency maintenance line had us blocked. We recorded that before jarid unblocked him. Either way, these people are ok with a newborn baby freezing to death. I wouldn’t rent from them, they’re the most corrupt slum lords to reign over Buffalo.
Negative experience: I don’t even do business with this company, but they shovel snow off the neighbors roof and puts it all in my driveway? And leaves without cleaning up the mess he makes!? Who does that
Negative experience: Wish they could of worked with my credit score as I am working with parachute credit company to build my credit score!
Negative experience: Apartment was filthy on move in. Ceiling collapsed covering everything in dust they wouldn’t send anyone out for a week and when they did good lord. Wouldn’t take 20$ off rent. Very cheap. Would like to tell anyone considering Irish Jones, don’t. There’s a better landlord out there for you. There’s 1 or 2 dozen of them located on the pretty side of Bailey
Negative experience: I'm so upset I was looking forward to moving in to this beautiful houses my family and it's not their fault she really tried really hard to get me into the house but owner never got back to her I wish the owner of the property would just give us a chance and she would see that we are wonderful and she will not regret renting to us. my whole family is very upset we were all so excited about having a house to call home we've been in duplex for 17 years and we're looking for a house and we are so excited that we were finally about to have something when she said that a couple more papers and landlord reference and it looks good and turned it out to be not so good we're all so upset right now we just wish we can get a blessing That's something good can happen for our family we promise to even treat the house like our own home and still no response been through a lot in the last past year and we're just looking for someone to bless our family the beautiful home.Hi everybody I just wanted to update you all the owner of the property denied me I can't stop crying my family so sad ever since we at the news all we've been doing is crying we all really had our hopes up for that beautiful house on North Bailey sorry owner You would have had a really good loving and caring family in your house all we ask for is a chance hopefully one day God will bless us.
Negative experience: No stars! But it won't let me post without a star. It's a darn shame, they DO NOT take care of their properties. The house which was beautifully maintained before they or their client purchased is now over run with weeds, tall grass, garbage and trees growing in and through the concrete on the porch. It's a shabby mess and bad for the neighborhood. When maintenance shows up they say it's not their responsibility. Who's is it then?

Negative experience: Irish Jones took over a property that I reside at back in February of 2025, their way of informing me was a 1/2 crumpled paper that said we are the new company that you will be paying rent to make sure to upload your lease and any questions call us. WOW great way to start off. Since they have been managing the property there have been issues in which have still not been resolved. I'm confused as to why they have a portal to report an issues in when they fail to respond or correct the issue. What a poorly run and managed company. I can't wait till I no longer have to tolerate a low level border line slum lord useless company. I am sure i am not the only person who experiences this.
Negative experience: While my apartment is cute, I have had a really unfortunate move-in experience with them. The apartment was absolutely filthy when I moved in. There was no gas or electricity and I can’t get it turned on for days (they try to gaslight you into thinking this is normal) . If they’d let me know about this ahead of time I would have called the required utility services (even when I’d bought my last home the utilities were still on). When I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, I was refused. I’m so disappointed. What I was hoping to be an easy and peaceful move turned out to be so much more stressful than it needed to be. Shoutout to the poor rep. who stayed on the phone with me while I complained because she didn’t deserve that. Her supervisors left her out to hang and I didn’t even get the poor girl’s name. I apologize that she had to deal with my emotions throughout this stressful process.

Negative experience: I have an income of over 100k and they don’t take that into consideration because long ago I messed my credit up and haven’t used any credit cards so I still have a low credit score. I thought by having a high income they would take that into consideration but they won’t. Won’t work with me at all. And very long wait to actually get to talk to a live person

Negative experience: I’m really happy I’m moving out of this home they do not take care of property at all it’s like living in a prison walking on egg shells the appliances are old they try and get anything out of you and make you liable for wear and tear things you have no control over to keep your security deposit DO NOT RENT FROM THEM AT ALL …. And office employees are rude and aggressive and argumentative. This list is high way robbery with that chalk paint that easily gets messed up and them fake floors they are lazy and don’t take care of outside of property an abounded car sat in driveway for 2yrs me and my kids couldn’t utilize back yard because of debris and broken gutter pieces I had mice in walls cause the siding of house is falling apart . Moved a house full of men downstairs from me who is a single mom with 2 sons .

They helped us secure an apartment quickly and at a very fair price, which made the entire process stress-free. Throughout our time renting from them, they were consistently responsive and professional. Any maintenance requests or fixes we needed were handled quickly and done properly. What really stood out was how flexible and easy to work with they were—as long as we communicated and worked with them, they were more than willing to meet us halfway. It made us feel like valued tenants, not just another lease. I also want to give a special shoutout to Jaired Star, Mandy, and Ashley in the office. Negative experience: Called to get an estimate. I gave them all my information and was told I would get a call back. Almost a week later, I called them back to find out “my house was too far out”. Nobody even had the decency to let me know, so I just wasted a week with 1/2 my house torn up due to a pipe bursting, because they couldn’t exercise common courtesy and follow through with a simple phone call. If they can’t be trusted to do what they say and treat people like their time also has value, I would never trust them to actually do a job for me. After the ridiculous response below: I see your response, it 100% is the right company unless you are borrowing their phone number and name. I spoke with Brittany and she told me how Brian was going to call me back. So now on top of wasting my time and setting the repairs on my house back a week, now you are also insulting my intelligence? How would the owner know if i called when nobody called me back Speak to your staff and get on the same page before you go around accusing people of posting on the wrong page. It is not miscommunication when a company states "we will have someone contact you" and then does not follow through. It is pretending like your time is the only one that has value. I can bet that if a customer set you back a week on a job, it would not be free. In terms of recommendations, is that a joke?? Why would anyone want a recommendation from a company that does not follow through on what they say and then pretends like it was not their screw up? If you had just ignored my review or apologized this would have been done but I am now second guessing the company that recommended you. If they believe you are competent people to be in business with, I have no interest in being in business with them. So your lack of consideration and ability to make a phone call probably just cost Carpet Collection in Lockport business too.

It sounds like sometimes people just get too busy and things can fall through the cracks. It isn't a matter of trust, just miscommunication. Negative experience: Don't even bother applying they are truly scam artists denied my application as well as my husband's said that our credit scores were both under 600 per TransUnion went and looked both credit scores are over 660 via TransUnion let's be real the main reason they ask for ID is to see what race you are if you are Black don't even bother. Got approved for a better apartment with higher requirements, go figure.
Negative experience: Literally the worst home I have lived in never fix anything always came to fix things 2 or 3 months later horrible experience literally they should be shut down and I see you responding because your trying to save your company honey I have video and much more I just posted these pics for the beginning you shouldnt treat your tenants in this matter the pics are not old I just moved out on aug the 2 of this year I had to live in that house with it looking that way you guys came and fix the same spot 3 times horrible get it together.
Hello Sheron, thanks for the feedback. Based on these photos alone, I too would be upset. However, although unfortunate this had happened, these photos are old. We did correspond with you in a timely manner and had this issue resolved. We actively worked to address the repairs needed in these photos. Based upon our records, the timeline you mention it took for us to even get around to addressing these issues is incorrect. We would like to let everyone know that as we do manage many properties we do get a great amount of maintenance requests in ranging from all sorts of small minor items to emergency calls. Should you submit a maintenance request and its regarding something of similar scale or issue that could become something of a great problem, do NOT hesitate to call us. We will do our utmost to ensure something like this doesn't happen or, should it, we will put just as much energy into fixing the problem. In contacting us you help us help you maintain your unit. That's why we have a hard working dedicated team of maintenance technicians!
Negative experience: Don’t even bother trying to deal with this company. Just trying to correspond with them is like pulling each and every hair out of your head one by one, and that’s not to mention their evidently lacking maintenance of their properties. I would give 0 stars if I was able to.

Positive experience: The door knob in the living room wooden glass door, was not fixed
Negative experience: Don’t rent from Irish jones. They don’t ever return maintenance calls and send someone out to fix anything. Worse company I’ve came across they only in it for the money!! Not to mention everyone that came across Irish jones has bad reviews so I’m not the only one.

Negative experience: This company sucks. They never answer the phone. I’ve placed tickets on multiple occasions and they haven’t been serviced. When I call back they say they never had a ticket placed in the first place to come get things fixed after calling three times and telling them three times that I need something done. And stillll haven’t gotten anything done. Communication is absolutely terrible and they need to do wayyyyy better. If I had a choice I would never choose them at a property management company evvvver. They suck.
Negative experience: I rented one of their properties in Tonawanda for 2 unfortunate years, and the maintenance issues were endless. For starters, it quite literally monsooned sewer water from the unit upstairs into my bathroom for nearly a week before it got fixed. Constant leaking pipes, I don’t think there was a time when something wasn’t leaking (a lot of them were duct taped). I had to practically BEG and blow their phone up and be a Karen for anyone to come fix anything. And I’m talking major emergency issues. So between the Bathroom Monsoon, the ceiling tile falling into my bathtub because it was so saturated with water (the same area they had come over to “fix” at least 3 previous times), my tub vomiting up black sewage, my toilet either not flushing or overflowing, the mold that inevitably grew from the constant moisture…the list goes on infinitely. As a respectful tenant who always paid my rent early, of course I received the nice little bonus of them withholding a chunk of my security deposit because there were cracks in some windows I didn’t know about (if I had known I obviously would’ve told them…of course I would’ve had to beg them for that too). …yeah…stay away for your own sanity
Negative experience: Went to a viewing today, the agent didn't introduce herself, just said we could go upstairs and take a look. While we were checking out the apartment she sat downstairs watching videos on her phone. She came upstairs after some time and was very rude trying to wrap up the viewing. When I came back to my office I was talking to a coworker who had a similar experience with the same employee (young, rude, blonde) yesterday at a viewing. When I tried to call Irish Jones to express my concern, the automated messages were choppy and I couldn't hear the prompts, and then after sitting on hold I was finally connected with a representative and put on hold again.
Fantastic experience: Irish Jones PM does a great job with listing units, screening tenants, and managing properties. Communication is clear and they are easy to get ahold to work through any issues.
Fantastic experience: As a Local Small Business, I've done several one-off welding and machining projects for Irish Jones as well as a recurring order for machined parts for them. Their office staff is very professional and friendly! They are great when it comes to communication, and they are very prompt on paying invoices. I have had great experiences working for them in the past and look forward to continuing our professional relationship in the future. I would highly recommend them!!!
Negative experience: So far my experience renting a property managed by Irish Jones has been a nightmare. We moved in yesterday to a toilet that would not flush TP or solid waste and having called emergency maintenance once and left a voicemail, then called again a few hours later to leave another voicemail, we had to call back today to get told "someone will be there between 3:30 - 5:30 PM". Well we just got a call, at 5, that whoever was coming would be here in "a couple hours". We just moved to this area from Missouri, we got here yesterday, and arrived to the trash can so full of trash we can't even wheel it to the curb, meaning we have nowhere to put our own garbage as we unpack/live and it's just piling up in the house. The toilet also moves back and forth on the floor and leaves a gross wet ring along the base. The grass looks like it hasn't been mowed in a month and there's trash all against the back of the house. The fence is broken even though we were told it was going to be fixed, which means we can't let our dog out even though I wouldn't risk it with all the trash outside anyway. We brought up all these issues yesterday and have yet to be given a time that any will get fixed except the toilet, which had its own issues as listed above. By last night, not even 1 full day here, I was already planning on breaking my lease and moving somewhere else but they wrote in the lease that if I do that I have to pay rent until someone else moves in. Expecting a working toilet and empty garbage bins and a clean yard is not that much to ask when moving into a new rental. I have never been so upset at a place I've lived before and will be moving out the *instant* my lease is finished.

We were unaware before your call about the toilet and we had a plumber out there within 24 hours to replace the toilet for you. The left over construction stuff you sent a photo of along with the heavy totes is already scheduled to be taken care of for you and should be handled in the next 24 hours.
As explained by our office staff, the grass will be cut, however the lawn crew had been delayed due to the amount of rain we had over the last two weeks.
Lastly, the fence was sent over to the owner so we can get approval for repair or removal.

Negative experience: Makes appointments for showings and doesnt show up. Leaves people with children in the cold waiting while not answering calls. ** please show me this, because those that showed up we all checked and all had only confirmations. I just checked my spam there is nothing from you guys.

Positive experience: The property is well kept and there's no drug trafficking which is heavy in the area

Positive experience: Only one issue so far, thermostat not working therefore no heat, that’s something that should have been takin care of before any tenants moved in, when it was brought to you guys attn, it still took a while so luckily I been takin my time moving in and also lucky that this isn’t normal March weather in Buffalo

Fantastic experience: At the time of writing this review, I have been working with Irish Jones for nearly a year. I purchased an investment property with the real estate branch, then used their property management branch to care for the home. I conducted nearly the entire property search remotely because I live out of state. From every interaction, the Irish Jones team has been a joy to work with. Communication has been friendly and clear, and they worked hard to simplify the process for a first time homebuyer. Their property management and maintenance fees are fair. They treat my home with the same care they would treat their own investment. I feel reassured knowing that my home is under the care and management of Irish Jones, and I highly recommend their real estate, management and maintenance services. Update: working with Irish Jones has continued to be a pleasure. Since my last review, Nick has taken over as COO and has further improved the organizations communication. Nick is easily reached via text, phone call or email and is extremely prompt with handling service requests and any issue that may come up. He is professional and friendly during all of our communications. He has strong ties to the community and is invested in seeing it improve. I continue to recommend Irish Jones without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: It was nice and clean in a good neighborhood I like it.
Negative experience: They act like they care but will take months and months to fix problems. You will also have to wait upwards of 20 mins every time you call to check on the issue just to be told they did nothing to look into it yet and it’s always the person fault that seems to be out the office. Never rent from them if possible they are true slumlords!
Negative experience: Terrible company I have phone conversations recording they are races and rude and have terrible communications they don't come fix your house my hallway looks a mess because they never painted it it's rat situation I've called several times about my ceiling was leaking water they harassed me told me I owed them money from the previous ownerI never did they were very rude and nasty about that at this point I called the health department because my rent is paid on time and in full and i barley try to call them to fix anything because they do not or know how to talk to you. They do no maintenance they are liars rude and unprofessional
Fantastic experience: Consummate professionals. Irish Jones has managed our properties for years. They are responsive, effective, and simply the best. They know the market, they know the tenants, and they know how to get the job done. I couldn’t give a better recommendation.
Negative experience: DONT DO IT!!!!!! I lived in North Tonawanda for 14 months, and Irish Jones took over as property management for my apartment complex 4/5 months in. Insert rent increase. They went MONTHS with unanswered maintenance requests. We had a bee infestation, and it wasn't a few bees here and there. IT WAS HUNDREDS that stung me and my dog (see pics below). I was killing bees daily. It took several calls/requests to even get pest control out in the first place, and the bees continued for weeks afterwards. My kitchen faucet needed to be fixed and it took 3 different people, MONTHS to fix an issue when most maintenance workers reported "I don't know how to fix this". One guy spent 4 hours at my house and caused more damage to my sink, leaving a lasting leak under it (watch them take part of security deposit because of their workers negligence). It took 6 months for my shower to be resealed to prevent leaking. I've had a maintenance request for the attic leaking on my stored property since JULY of 2023- It's still not fixed, and I've since had to remove my belongings from there for safe keeping- thank god I thought to cover my stuff with plastic to protect it- also shown below. Anytime I set a maintenance request you get the option to not be there for it- I chose this option due to the nature of my job and weird working hours- Not only did they not complete my maintenance requests (even after scheduling them and calling to confirm) because I wasn't there- they claimed they didn't have a master key so they couldn't do the job while I wasn't home.... and NEVER requested a master key copy for future issues. It's nearly impossible to get anyone to give you clear communication or answers on anything. I put in my notice to vacate and didn't hear anything back from them. So, I called them a week later and they wanted proof, so I sent the original notice. So, I sent it to them again, and was told I'd get a return call back 24-48 hours later with the confirmation. I waited 7 days, heard nothing, and called back for them to tell me I'm finally all set. I move entirely out- and call to let them know that I've vacated and that the keys are inside the apartment- they tell me I have to bring them the keys to the leasing office... I've already moved out completely and spoke with someone 3 times this month...and not a single person told me I'd have to physically give them the keys in order to be fully vacated - I can't tell if its ignorance and greed, being incredibly understaffed or just a lack of understanding on how to treat humans, but STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!
Negative experience: I’ve looked at a couple of their apts recently and talk about photoshopping! Apts look nothing like their pics. The last one smelled like cat pee the minute you opened up the back door and smelled like that all the way up to the upper apt and inside. And owners say they will only accept cats because they aren’t as destructive, hahaha. You will never get that smell out. My credit score was where they want it to be, but I was given a price range for rent based on my credit score, like what? It reminded me of buying a car, “based on your credit score, this is what you can afford price wise”. Haven’t had anyone tell me that. I blocked their email because they kept sending me rentals and houses to buy yet I keep getting emails in my spam folder. I know what I can afford. This place is a joke!
Negative experience: This company? This company? Is solely on credit scores. I'm trying to help my sister look for a home and she has a full time employment and she also pays a rent on time. She also stayed in the last house for about 7 years if not longer. And this company had her paid the application fee but refusing to rent to her because they're her credit score is a under 620 in reality, a lot of people mess their credit up when they're younger. So why should they have to get judged on it if their building their credit now and trying to do better as a person. This company should change its whole protocol because there are a lot of good tenants that have to go back to abusive homes because the companies like this. So now instead of trying to figure out a better solution they rather go deal with the pain and drama instead of continuing to get denied. I'm not showing you any of the photos because I do not want to advertise them. I have a beautiful blessed day.
Negative experience: WOW! I wish I had thought to look up the reviews before making an appointment. 2.8 Star total reviews really is generous! This company is super impersonal, you cannot contact Realtor before the appt so I got lost & arrived w/ exactly 12 minutes still in my "viewing time block", yet Kate was already getting into her Black "IJ" labelled car & refused to show me the space because she had 15 minutes to get to her next appt. How is your time crunch my problem? Said I could reschedule but why bother when my 1st impression is tainted & you clearly don't deserve the commission.
Negative experience: This company uses a high definition camera to post pictures of their vacant apartments. When viewing the actual apartments, they do not look the same as the online pictures. The application process is a violation of tenant rights, you pay the fee to apply and you will not receive a copy of the information they use to determine if you’ll get the apartment or not. I emailed to ask the process of how to check the status of an application. No response, which led to me report them to the Attorney General for consumer fraud. Renter beware, they are not allowed to charge a fee to process applications if they do not provide a copy of the results to the applicant. Regardless if they list the fee as nonrefundable it becomes refundable if they steal your money and go unresponsive. Please join me in writing to the Attorney General about this company practices.
Positive experience: They were very nice and professional when showing the property.
Negative experience: Cat hair everywhere, curtains covered, carpets FULL of cat hair. I am allergic to cats and I was told there was new carpets.. FINALLY got it vacuumed a week later and two full canisters for one studio. OMG. THEY also let themselves in without prior warning of a visit. If you are not hom or Do not answer the door, they just walk on in! WATCHOUT!

Negative experience: Presents nice on outside, but has many unseen issues until you rent. Beware. Pros The staff and main office are clean and seemed professional. The apartment I rented was very nice and fairly well maintained. The price was within the realm of reasonable for today's economic climate. Cons Used semantics to hide the fact that the basement floods. It took 2 weeks for them to unclog the backed up basement sump pump. Myself and upstairs neighbor smelled that sewage for 2 weeks before it was handled. My apartment fridge broke, brand new for the record, and it took almost a month to have it just fixed, that's unacceptable on a human level. Additionally at the end of my lease, they withheld 280 dollars of my deposit for an additional week I did not spend, because the office staff gave conflicting answers to my questions. It was not worth it to me to call and ask them about, considering the way things were handled previously. All in all displeased and will avoid further rentals from this company.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience with Irish Jones while purchasing an investment property in the Buffalo area. From my very first conversation with EarI, I was amazed with both the knowledge shared and the time taken to really explain different aspects of the Buffalo market. Through many showings, he was very patient, thorough, and analytical with his assessment of both the house as an asset as well as the potential to be successful within the current market. My wife and I were very greatful to have found a realtor that we trusted and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire buying process. We will certainly be reaching out to Earl and Irish Jones again, and would 110% recommend to anyone searching for a home in the area!

Negative experience: Do not rent from this company. I recently vacated 36 Scott St in the City of Tonawanda, managed by Irish Jones, the subject of another review made by the next door neighbor. Irish Jones failed to disclose the substance abuse, domestic violence, and interrelated mental health issues of the upper tenants, and the leasing agent at the time I moved in made an assertion that the upper tenants were moving, which they did not. During the 13 months I lived there, there were at least 20 police visits that I knew of, all involving the upper tenants, sometimes multiple visits in the same day. Additionally, Irish Jones failed to disclose that the building had bedbugs in the upper unit that were never remediated (something I confirmed directly with the extermination company), which eventually found their way into my apartment, necessitating a very difficult remediation. I strongly recommend avoiding any building managed by Irish Jones, and certainly 36 Scott St as the current upper tenants are nothing short of nightmarish.
Negative experience: This company has no scruples! How do you rent an apartment to a young single mother with a 6 year old and not disclose that the upstairs tenants have an assortment of mental issue that the police are called on countless time for abuse and violent behavior. You all should be ashamed of yourself for putting a child in danger!

Negative experience: BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! THEY RIP YOU OFF AND DO NOT RETURN ANY OF YOUR MONEY! THEY DON'T GIVE YOU FULL INFORMATION. I called to get my security deposit back because I was not taking the property because it was over a week and the owner lost money they told me they were keeping my security deposit. I stated to Amanda how can the keep the full amount of $1150 for 11 days all she jept stating was that the owner lost out on the property. Not $1150 worth. I work hard to make my money not to just throw it away. THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY ARE ACCURATE AND TRUE BEWARE!!!
Good afternoon LaTisha - I am sorry you are upset. As was explained when you called in, you secured a property with your deposit and then chose 2 days before move in to not take the unit. Amanda explained to you that if the unit is re-rented by 9/1/23 which is when you lease was beginning, we would return your deposit to you. However, since we had already removed the property from the market on 8/14 and all other applicants were told it was already rented we have to get the unit re-listed. Negative experience: Not a good experience at all. They claim they take section 8 then expect you to have 3 times the amount of the rent well If that was the case People wouldn't need section 8. Property companies are seeming to be the worst to go through.
I am sorry that you had a bad experience. Our rental requirements are 3 times the income. Section 8 does count toward that income as does all other assistance, w2 income, 1099 income, etc.
Negative experience: RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY. IIRISH JONES is a horrible service for the tenant and the homeowners. They are great to deal with at first showing the apartment and receiving there deposit but once they get that check you are at there mercy. if there is a problem at your property you can’t get though to anyone, when you do they bounce you around through out there office staff and they will lie to you, hang up on you and not fix the problem at a timely matter. I had no electricity in half my apartment for 3 weeks, they told me sorry can’t get anyone out there till next week. They sent a carpenters helper covered in drywall dust to fix the problem but on the phone they said he was a licensed electrician, he had no clue what to do. They create work orders and send the wrong people out there and bill the homeowner for work that isn’t done, or their work isn’t done properly or by the proper people. I had to go weeks with no electricity, all my food was rotten, had to keep buying ice to keep food and drinks cold and wouldn’t do anything to compensate me for my losses. This company is very unreliable and unprofessional. One of the owners came out and gave me his word this will be resolved and once he is gone it’s like the conversation never happen and his word is poop, since you can’t talk to anybody directly and get bounced around they will just say I am unaware that he gave you his word on and sorry but we can’t help you. If you are trying to rent your house out or want to rent I advise you to stay away from IRISH JONES bc they cause a lot of stress and are very unprofessional
Good afternoon Richard - you are free to contact management to discuss your issues. The electrician was dispatched to your home within 24 hours of your call, however you cancelled the electrician twice. We understand you do not want anyone in your unit without you home and we respect that. However you never called back to make an appointment when you would be home. You called on Friday late morning expecting an electrician to just have known you would want them there. You should have reached out to let us know you would be home so we could have scheduled. We made attempts to contact multiple other electricians for you on Friday and no one was available. Noone said the tech was an electrician, we sent him to see if it was possibly a breaker while awaiting the call back from an electrician. Your power was restored that evening. The owner you met with after the service was already resolved so please let us know what is not resolved as you messages this week have stated there are no issues in the home. As for your losses, you were provided a rent credit by the owner and you may also place a claim with your renter’s insurance if you choose to do so.

Fantastic experience: This company gets a 5 start rating. The management team is professional and continues to be fully availability to communicate with me, working together to solve problems and come up with solutions. My favorite thing about this company is that I can always pick up the phone, call them directly and speak with a real person.
Positive experience: They are very friendly on the phone, but they don't take care of their property the way they should. I called to complain that their backyard grass was over 2 feet high, and their front bushes have not been touched all summer. They kept their word, and someone came to cut the grass a week later, but they were never told them to cut and trim the bushes now trees. Now we have to wait for 2 more weeks for someone to do this job. This is the only sore eye property on this street. This is why I'm giving them a 3-star, but I would never let them take care of my property.

Negative experience: Since they decided to take my comment down This was on 5/31/23 : Absolutely unacceptable the experiences I've had with this company. I was supposed to see a studio a couple weeks ago and they showed up an hour late (I left by the time they showed up and they showed my friend who lived in the building) and I went to make an appointment to see it again and then it was canceled that same day due to it being taken and I never even got the opportunity to see it in person and today I was supposed to see the other studio unit and I waited for over a half hour and no one showed up. This is completely unprofessional and not fair to people who are having a hard time finding a sustainable apartment to live in.

Negative experience: Truly awful and vile company. No hot water for TWO MONTHS. Keys were not provided on first day of the lease, when finally provided with the keys they did not work and we had to get a locksmith to move in WHICH THEY HAVENT COMPENSATED ME FOR. Consistently lacking of any customer service or help. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

Negative experience: The most disrespectful people I have ever dealt with. They walk right in my house no notice, demand they are able to remodel while me and my children are living here. Whoever they had paint the hallway refused to vent while he did so and used outdoor paint causing my husband to have an asthma attack and my kids were gagging, the guy told me he "wasn't leaving the door open to paint because he wasn't freezing his a** off for me." They also unplugged my freezer and I now have an extension cord running from my downstairs hallway into my apartment which my kids and myself have tripped on several times. When they bought my apartment building they never notified me or the other tenants of where to send rent or how much it now was mind you 2 of us have been here for 5 years and have never had any issues until now, they then started charging late fees when we had no idea where to send rent. Miranda is who I've contacted several times and good luck getting any info from that piece of work.
