Fantastic experience: From the beginning they were nice. The process of becoming a resident was quick and smooth. They were very open and welcoming to giving me a tour. They took their time when showing me the different units and answered every question I had with clarity. They were also swift with the readying thr contract and helped me identify the documents that I needed. And once I moved in, their treatment got even better. They would sending out important emails to us residents to keep us upto date with things happening in the building. And when I had a concern or had a maintenance issue, they were very prompt in their reply of reasurance and fixing the maintenance issue. And most importantly, whenever I happen to see them in person or connect with them through email, phone, or text, they were always very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much California Pacific Realty team (Omar, Bob, Mo, Abbas,...) for being so helpful and nice to me and giving me a home. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience living here. The apartments are comfortable, spacious, and bright, making them a pleasant place to come home to. The management team is consistently supportive, and the property manager, John, is exceptionally responsive whenever assistance is needed. Highly recommend this community.

Fantastic experience: I worked with John on an apartment we were interested in. Since we are new to the Berkeley area, I called him many times—sometimes multiple times in a single day—with questions about various properties, amenities, fees, and processes. John always listened carefully and provided thoughtful, helpful advice. He is knowledgeable, honest, and patient, and most importantly, truly customer-centric.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service!!

Negative experience: Be careful about their yearly rent increase as they will offer you reasonable rent for first year without getting into long term lease and then onwards will increase rent by 10 per every year. Moreover while vacating the property they will charge you hefty deposit deduction. Looks that's how they run the renting model by getting the tenants and then exploiting them time and again through rent increase and maintenance charges on them. Strictly No for any referral or credibility.

Fantastic experience: Zahid and his group have done a great job fixing up (via contractors) and maintaining my property. All the documents are delivered electronically and Zahid is easy to get a hold of via emails and texts. Overall, I'm very happy with them, and they have made owning and renting out my property a snap.

Negative experience: I wish I could give this place ZERO stars. I tried applying for a listing on their website, but it turns out that the listing was not even available. I paid a $53 application fee, and once they received it, they took down the listing. I tried calling them multiple times, but they never answer their phones. I understand that the $53 is part of the application fee, but if you guys are making me apply for a unit that isn't even available but you guys still kept it on your website, you guys are just stealing people's money. California Pacific Realty just took my money for something I never even had a chance at getting. NEVER work with this place, especially if you're a student.

Negative experience: Saw apartment listing in Berkeley ON THEIR WEBSITE and tried to contact them if the property was available. After no response for a few days, I applied to the listing, paying the $53 application fee. No confirmation email or response for another few days despite numerous attempts through email and phone. After almost a week of trying, I was finally able to get in contact only to find out that the apartment was already leased out even though the listing said it was still available online. They refused to refund the application fee despite its unavailability. They don't deserve even 1 star. Definitely a sketchy company that is trying to scam people. stay away!!!

Positive experience: Response time is slow, I have to request a spreadsheet ever year four years ago I would receive the best spreadsheets.

Negative experience: This company has extremely poor communications skills, and misogynistic behavior. Zahid constantly interrupts, talks over you and says snarky comments like "are you done?" and "I already explained this, but I'll do it again." The lack of basic polite communication and customer service was a nightmare with this company. We were stuck in a tricky situation with a renter and had to stay with this company unfortunately till the issue was resolved. We ended up having to get a lawyer to protect ourselves after they delivered the wrong paperwork to renters, had unprofessional communications with our renters and us, and over all made every single interaction a nightmare. STAY AWAY!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about the team at CA Pacific Realty. Last year when my rental had water damage and major renovations were due, they managed it all for me, ensuring my tenants were taken care of. So much so that my insurance company rep. said she had never seen any property manager deal as professionally as the team at CA Pacific Realty. This year, as I am selling my house, the team has been exceptional with the help, the professionalism, the response times and advice. I am a little sad that I am selling my house such that my time with CA Pacific Realty may be coming to an end but I can't praise them enough. You'd be in very good hands with this team.

Fantastic experience: The team at California Pacific Realty have done a great job in completely taking over the property management for a rental condo I have in Fremont. Manny made the entire transition smooth for everyone involved. They have made owning a rental property stress free for me. Highly recommend them. I also had a situation with a the previous tenants, and California Pacific Really handled the difficult situation very professionally.

Fantastic experience: Mr Zahid Jahania and his team manages a property for me in Newark, CA. They found me a really good tenant for us! The team members are very responsible whenever I give them a call or drop an email. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I applied to rent a condo from them for an address (945 Fletcher Lane, Hayward, CA), a couple hours before the showing I received an email that the address was actually 949 Fletcher Lane- a bait and switch! The worst part, the building at 945 would have had views of the adjacent park whereas the views from the building at 949 were of a cemetery. When asked to refund my application cost they refused. Very unprofessional, and the guy was late to the showing. They refused to change the address to the correct address after I pointed it out to them, I wouldn’t do business with a company like this.

Fantastic experience: It was easy to pay rent and make maintenance requests online. Any maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. I had a good experience.

Fantastic experience: I am dealing with California Pacific Realty as tenant of one of the property they manage. I have an excellent customer experience and a positive overall impression of the company. The web portal is easy to access and to navigate and all paperwork and task orders (maintenance or other requests) are managed very efficiently. I am also impressed by the professionalism of the team. Zahid and Atif have been promptly addressing all requests and consistently cooperating and resolving issues within a reasonable timeframe. In a couple of instances, contractors were on site within 3-4 hours since logging the initial request. I absolutely recommend California Pacific Realty as property managers.

He was the representative of CalPacific Realty that was present at the open house and answered all my questions as well as assisted me during my move in process. He has great communication and always responded to my emails and phone calls. From a tenants perspective they made the entire process seamless and I'd highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Called this company to ask them to property manage a commercial building in Oakland and they said “we are not interested at this time.” You’ve got to be kidding me. How rude and unprofessional. I guess they didn’t want to collect $60,000 in rent per month. Don’t waste your time with these people.

Fantastic experience: I've been with CPR for almost two years and have been extremely happy. They are professional, courteous, and responsive. I found them when I had to (in a very short amount of time and under stress) rent my elderly mom's home as she was going in to assisted living. They recommended some upgrades but didn't suggest an outrageous amount of things to be done. Their in-house contractor came in and quickly got things taken care of. They held an open house, screened applicants and presented me with their top three candidates. Any issues (there have only been minor ones) they have taken care of. I would highly recommend CPR!

We have trusted them with 2 large buildings in one of the most difficult environments to operate at (Berkeley, Ca.), and they have done an excellent job.
