Negative experience: This company is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!! I would NEVER recommend this company to ANYONE!!!!!!! The people who live in Unit B are AWFUL people. They like to harass people. They are drunks! The company will not do anything about it. Don't not live in any of the Units and Do not rent Larry Lewis! You will not get your deposit back not matter what!!! I cannot stress enough how AWFUL this company really is!! The office staff seem nice ENOUGH but when things start to go bad they get mean fast!!!! I thought that my previous Landlord was bad but this company is taking the cake!! I sit in my car everyday and wish I had NEVER rented this place! EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Tried to call to ask questions and was told “just look at our website” where there’s only like 6 properties available and information that does not answer my questions, hence why I called to ask more. Completely unhelpful

Negative experience: We thought they were great at first. We lived in one of their rent homes for 4 years. Grew our family and everything in that home. Took care of it! Then our 3rd year in things started to happen, dish washer went out. They didn’t fix it. They didn’t even try to fix it until a year later after I kept asking. The we started having septic issues that were never fixed. Couldn’t use the toilet so much cause it would flood and not flush. Septic kept filing up fast. I guess they liked paying the septic people to come pump it every 2-3 months. The shop building in property lost power (It’s on the same power the home was on) we kept asking and they never fixed that either. B Yes, I’m complaining because they didn’t fix these issues or offer to lower rent. When rent included all of that. Then! We agreed on half’s months rent and well they kept my whole deposit to pay a full months rent for our last month. Mind you I have screen shots and receipts for everything. With this company you will not get your deposit back and I should have read the reviews stating that and listened. I settled and took the loss because they just kept fighting against me and doing too much.

Negative experience: If your BLACK DON’T lease from this company an the thing Jasmine at the desk is very disrespectful please take into consideration the reviews you see or you will see when you move in Now as of the owner of the company Mr Lewis great man great in communication but it’s his staff that’s problem

Fantastic experience: They have the contract for where I live. Ashlyn and Jasmine (?I think is her name) are wonderful! Any time I have an issue, they are on it right away! This is SOO appreciated- from ac not working, to fridge went out n even small things that are seemingly trivial or low priority, these ladies and their team are on top of it & get it handled without me having to coordinate or constant bugging them to get it fixed. This is literally the best company I have worked with or heard of from anyone I know who is renting in Texas. I appreciate it greatly!! Thank you ladies & gents. This thanks is well deserved!!

Fantastic experience: I rented one of the properties they manage for a year and had a great experience with their staff. When there were issues, I could report through the app or call and usually they would get back to me within a day. Larry also helped me find my first house and I could not have asked for a better agent to walk me through the process.

Negative experience: Writing from the Landlord's side. I hired Larry to manage one of my rentals and Conquest the other when I had to work out of town for a year; about 7 months into the tenancy I got a bill for an AC air handler ($700), that seemed odd because the AC in the unit was more or less new. After I came back to Tyler and took over management I gave the tenant a package of AC filters and ask him to replace it, to my surprise he did not know how... So I asked him what did he mean. Apparently nobody cared about mentioning to the tenant that he needed to replace the ac filter, I showed the tenant how to replace it and when I open the filter small door and pulled the old filter it was absolutely clogged and collapsed. I was amazed of how the AC contractor did not replace it when he replaced the air handler and how this filter was the same one I installed before I gave control to this "property manager". Larry also mentioned that there was a yearly inspection, no inspection, in the contract was written that I was getting a call for all bills above $500, never get a call... This guy will just get the money and will not manage your property, believe me. I would strongly recommend to go with conquest, I had a better experience with them and they did show the tenant how to replace the AC filter, they sent monthly ac filters to the tenants and the tenants pay for the filters, also, conquest makes tenants get insurance, they are way more professional and experienced.

Fantastic experience: We have been renting a cute little house in town now for about 5 months. We have had a great experience with Lewis Realty from the start! This was our first time renting from someone other than friends or family and they made the process easy, quick, and able to understand. They are good about answering any questions you may have, returning messages, and handling things that are needed to be done when you need them too. The team here definitely know how to make you feel like family! Ashlyn and her team have all been wonderful through all of our "firsts". Would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to move into something of their own!

Positive experience: I moved in to one of their properties 3 weeks ago and move in was less than ideal. I had inspected the property twice, but some things don't come up until you are living there. There were several repairs that I felt should have been addressed before having someone move in. They were quick to make almost all of the repairs, but would not install new coax cable in the wall so that I could have reliable internet service. Since I moved into the property, the internet has not been working properly and drops every few minutes. The only internet company who services this address told me the home owner must update the coax cable in the building for me to have internet. Lewis Realty is told me the owner of the building would not pay to have this done, but I can pay for it myself. I don't feel I should be paying to update wiring in a building I don't own. After writing a negative review here explaining the situation, they decided to update the cables. I am glad they are fixing the issue, but it's disappointing that I would have to write a negative review for them to take me seriously on this.

The ladies in the office were always really helpful… and they seem honest… I always make sure I leave a place as clean/more clean than when I left it and some places find any reason to not refund your deposit… but I got a full refund from them 3 weeks after turning in keys! Def recommend them

Negative experience: I was excited about moving into my townhome, until about a week or two after living there.. a horrible leak occurred in my living room and ruined my plasma screen tv, which was not covered by my renters insurance. There’s a hole in my room, on the ceiling from where it bubbled from all of the leaks that occurred. I asked if my tv would be repaired and they said no. The townhomes on 5th st are set up nice but need to be remodeled terribly plus there’s always dead roaches lying in random places. Lewis realty may have good properties, but mine.. is not one of them. Update: I called today to see how much I owe on this property and the front desk told me 1400 + 2,000 damages when the only thing THEY damaged was my TV. Idk who’s paying that but definitely won’t be me.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been renting one of Lewis’s properties for sometime now. They are pretty responsive to your problems and it could just be that I pay my rent on time every month. I’ve been contacting them about my dishwasher for a while with no response but I saw Mr Lewis himself in the office while paying rent and mentioned it to him. He got it replaced the very next day. Any other problems I’ve had, have been taken care of in such a timely manner. This is my first rental and I’m happy my family and I chose to rent through this rental property agency. Definitely will get another year out of us!

Positive experience: Lived in one of their properties for over a year now with no negative experiences until recently. The duplex attached to ours became available and we were interested in transferring to it, or at least getting information on how/if that would be possible because we recently had a baby and would like a bigger space/third bedroom. Called to get info and was even allowed to look inside before it was cleaned, which was great. I was told they would speak with the owner about how that process would work deposit/lease renewal wise, since we currently live right next door, and give me a call back. Called again a few days later for an update and spoke to someone else who didn't really know what I was talking about, but she said she would get the same information & call me back, like the first woman did. No response for maybe a week, so I called again and was basically told the same thing as if it were the first time. Again, nothing for a few days, and mind you I'm trying not to bother them too much but I definitely stayed on top of communication. So I finally decide to stop by their office and ask in person. When I go in the woman up front seems to know who I was & says the property has been leased due to "never hearing back from us." I told her I spoke to multiple people about this multiple times and she repeats herself, pretty much saying it was our fault. Not sure if there's anything that can be done now, but if they didn't want to go through the hassle of a transfer, take the time to call me back, or whatever the case may be that's fine. I just don't appreciate being told it's because WE never got back with them, when I clearly called over 3 times within the time span of 3-4 weeks, & when I know they are aware of that. Just seemed very unprofessional & rude. Thankfully we haven't had any other issues, and other than this situation they've been helpful, decent, & friendly.

Fantastic experience: I Have been Larry Lewis since his Mother retired from the rental business. She took care of our properties before and now Larry Lewis does. He's a great manager for our properties and when ever a major problem arises he's always available to talk and handle it in a efficient way so that the tenant or myself aren't inconvenienced. If I need to get in touch with Lewis Management, all I have to do is call. The office staff is very proficient in their handling of my calls. I am the executor of a Trust and if I need something done, they get it done for me and I don't have to worry about it. Larry has even called me while he's been on vacation. That type of customer service says it all.

Fantastic experience: A very helpful realtor when we were looking for a place in the Tyler area. Their site was also a great place with lots of listings and information on local schools etc. Made house hunting a lot easier.

Negative experience: They told us it would take a maximum of 72 hours to know if we got approved. It’s been a week and it’s still “processing” now wether or not we got approved doesn’t even matter because we needed to know by a certain time to be able to move in and now we’re stuck for another 4 months at our current address because their lack of care or timeliness. They wouldn’t even give us a refund or a status on our application. Please don’t go here if you don’t want to feel like you’ve been scammed out of your money.

Positive experience: It pains me to leave this review. Me and my roommates were looking to rent a property so we filled out applications, paid the application fee and we made sure that we met all the criteria needed. We get a call from Caitlin (super sweet lady btw) informing us that our application was denied by the landlord because he/she didn't want 'roommates' living on the property. This was very upsetting because we wasted time assuming we would be approved and there was nothing in the description about not wanting roommates. So I requested a refund for the application which was approved. We are quiet and very easy-going guys so we felt cheated out of a great opportunity. Simple adjustments to the listing could have saved us the hassle and then we never would have applied. I just think that they should have informed us and the general public on their listing exactly what they were looking for in an applicant rather than possibly wasting someone else's time. Other than that, the team was helpful and I wouldn't mind renting a property from them.

Negative experience: Lived at one of there properties 6 years never been late on rent payments.Before we moved in they said they were putting in new windows but stopped at 3.so the windows were old and cracked 2 broke asked 3 times to fix but didn't do it.carpet was all nasty they said the would change but didn't but now that we moved out now they are putting all new stuff.Never will i rent from them again they don't care about anything but there cash plain sorry.Also black mold in bathroom and rats under the house and in walls

Negative experience: This company is a bunch of scammers. Do not rent from them. My wife works for a cleaning and restoration service and we have before we moved in and after we moved in videos. We cleaned this place immaculate. So we expected our deposit after 3 years and they sent us a itemized but not broken down bill of charges and say we owe them $250. We can't wait for small claims court to put Mr. Lewis in his place. They treat you like shut in office so I don't why we expected any different after we moved out. They are horrible people and I implore you to never rent from this company

Negative experience: Crooked gave us a vacation of property notice out of nowhere told my wife dont worry about paying the rent for February even after we asked too renew the lease and said no then few days later posted a none payment letter on the door for 800 we pay rent on

Negative experience: Just left their office. There was a lady in there who was very nice but the man was very very rude and was not helpful whatsoever. It seemed we were being discriminated against. Horrible service and hospitality.

Negative experience: Lots of leaks and flooding have occurred on my condo and the surrounding condos. I started to get sick and my doctor said I had lots of mycotoxins from mold. When I asked for mold testing they were very rude to me and have been treating my rudely ever since. The property manager is getting it scheduled but is not being nice about it at all. He actually wouldn't even let me talk at first and told me to get a lawyer and have my lawyer contact his. I'm so glad to be leaving this place and would not recommend Lewis Realty to others.
