Century Village West Palm Beach

Positive experience: Provide many activities and recreation opportunities for all , need to be patient with the buses , community is large .

Fantastic experience: The experience was amazing. Grounds well kept, quiet atmosphere, calm environment. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy life!!

Fantastic experience: Very big condo association very clean top security insuring safety in the community scenic views all round several entrances and exits for convenience to you access to pulls tennis courts club house has multiple activities shuttle comes every twenty minutes and takes you around the community as well as outside if the association to local stores and stuff close by

Positive experience: I visit a friend of mine there once to twice a month a few of us go out to eat at a local restaurant. For what the cost of buying a condo there and the condo association fees, I bought a house. They do not have dishwashers, nor do the condos have washers/ dryers in the units.

Negative experience: Out of control.

Fantastic experience: We just moved into our new unit and we love it! Peaceful, clean and we're enjoying the new neighbors and amenities.

Negative experience: It is very disturbing that in the Medical Center they can not handle emergency cases. They immediately ask for an appointment before they talk to you. Sorry but this is ridiculous in a community with over 7,000 residents. The manager of this medical office did not even got off her phone to ask what was the emergency. The front desk receptionists were clueless as what should be done. Question is: why this community needs such a medical office? They do not deserve even one star! I suggest for everybody if in need of medical help, take a few extra steps, go to the corner of Okeechobee and Haverhill to the Good Samaritan Medical Center where they provide good, friendly, honest and quick professional help. They deserve five stars!

Negative experience: My father has had issues for years, HOA does nothing but take your money and when a problem with Termites or structural items comes up they drag there feet. My dad was living in a rental for 3 years while Century Village were fighting over fixing his termite infested building. Floor structure came down on below apartment because of faulty contractors and termite damage that had been ignored. Realtor Blanca D. Smith asked my father to write her blank name money orders while he was living in rentals. I would not trust this realtor as she took advantage of the situation to increase her payroll. BLANK MONEY ORDER and when my father asked why she would get defensive and ignore the question. I worry that if she did this to my father how many more elderly people did she take advantage of.

Negative experience: Just helped a woman named [Redacted] get here, she mentions that the elevator doesn't work. Might want to fix that. There are people who need it.

Fantastic experience: My building is absolutely wonderful and has an incredible HOA that keeps it sound and taken care of. My neighbor's are great. The financials are sound, the roof is new and the condos are in great shape. I love that the gym, clubhouse and pools are really great. Going for a walk everyday you run into nice people. It's a great place to retire to. This is really a wonderful place, especially for the money.

Negative experience: On Tues 3/11, gate staff was very rude to me in the morning, because I was on the resident side of the gate, that same day in the afternoon about 2:30 p.m another gate staff threw a license at someone who came to pick me up because he wasn't called in. Most of the staff are very professional. But, on that day. Those 2 staff were terrible, no customers service, rude, unprofessional, their behavior is unacceptable. Correction: This Review is actually for the Century Village in Deerfield Beach at the West Gate on Powerline facing the park.

Fantastic experience: I was absolutely amazed at how fast the community is and the amenities available for residents

Negative experience: The place is unsafe. At night I have noticed that the guards leave the gates open and don't check identification and let anyone come in. Residents use their balconies as storage and place look trashy. I see a lot of young people living with either their grandparents or parents.

Negative experience: Overall a very negative experience. Here are some difficulties listed below in the order they were encountered. • Several properties have incorrect addresses listed on Zillow and appear on the map in PGA National. • The website does not list community rules and regulations. • The website does not have any search features which makes finding listings that meet search criteria impossible other than manually combing through all of them. • The staff at the gate behaved unprofessionally-- yelling to each other across the small building, never checked my ID, etc. • The real estate agent also behaved unprofessionally. - I'd originally reached out saying that we wanted a tour of the community. When we got there she said we couldn't see the clubhouse because the parking lot was being repainted. - She waited until we arrived to ask my mom about her credit score and finances rather than telling us remotely, up front what the requirements were without prying. - She made rude comments and crossed boundaries. i.e. pushing against my parenting decision of whether or not to discontinue our property search because my child woke up from her nap too early and was showing signs of being overtired and telling us it was good for her to "get out" as if she knew anything about my daughter. - When we decided that we were going to leave after viewing a couple of properties she threatened us that we would likely be shunned if ever trying to view properties there again--which is fine with us because they were unfortunate units in a run down community. • and more. There are too many things to list.

Positive experience: Bang for your buck, but not for everyone.

All of my life n when I decided to RETIRE, I heard about 55+ community I Never knew that there were places where you have to be 55+, I was on a plane to Century Village in WEST PALM BEACH F.L..With in 2day. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Century Village is a wonderful place to visit family and friends. The immaculate grounds and helpful staff ensure every visit is a good one.

Negative experience: Very frustrating to look at listings, and upon looking up the address to make sure it's not a 55+ community, the property is actually in Century VIllage. Just say this in the listing! It's really not that hard to type "55+". EDIT: This comment is only in relation to listings from this community appearing on Zillow and other commonly used platforms. These properties obviously come up when searching for the most affordable options in the area and there is never any information in the description stating either that the properties are in a 55+ community or just stating that they are in Century Village. Many of them never have any description at all. The point that I was trying to make is that there’s a problem, whether it’s somebody being too lazy to add descriptions OR platforms like Zillow automatically adding listings with or without listing agent input. Either way it is quite frustrating for anyone looking for a more affordable place to live, and having to do research to specifically make sure the property they’re looking at IS NOT in this particularly large community.
