Negative experience: Dwayne and Alecia Coburn, Cynthia France, and Steven Hatch. Went there trying to serve deposition papers for this interaction. I was kind. I was serving legal documents. I was treated like a criminal for trying to get sworn testimony in regards to the safety and well being of my children. Id gladly share Cynthias and Steven's report if anyone is interested.
This review was posted by one of the business owners' ex-son-in-laws following a personal family dispute. He is not a customer and ultimately he left the premises after attempting to deliver some documents and being informed the party he was attempting to contact was not currently present at the business. We value feedback from actual clients and invite anyone with genuine experience to share it.
Fantastic experience: Dwayne is very polite and professional!
Thanks Scot for the review. I agree with you. We are fortunate to have Dwayne as our broker. His solid background and commitment to excellence makes him a great leader in training and empowering agents to deliver the best for our clients.
Negative experience: The worst experience ever selling a home! Our agent was definitely not active in trying to sell! Infact she never even showed the property in over a year! I personally showed it a dozen times! The listing only had 7 photos for months and I ended up writing the description because hers was so vague! Definitely won’t ever hire a realtor again because of this experience! I don’t think she had any training to be a realtor honestly. Hope to save someone the trouble of being locked in with her for a year
Fantastic experience: Coral Ridgway was my agent. She did an amazing job finding just the right home for my husband and I. Thank you for all your wonderful efforts.
Fantastic experience: Starr Mikkelson was our realtor and was fantastic. We use her twice and she went over and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend her and her staff Brittany Guza.
Fantastic experience: Nikki is the best!
Negative experience: Mckay Farner was the one that initially showed us the home. If you’re the seller, use him because all he seems to care about is the seller. If you’re the one buying, do not use him. He kept telling me “if we ask for that we might make them mad”. Example: We asked to move the closing date from a Friday to a Tuesday morning. He said he didn’t want to make them upset and ask to move the date. As soon as we signed the offer he stopped staying in touch as much. He even completely forgot that the seller owed us $1,000.00 at signing. He didn’t catch it until I asked where the check was then he contacted the mortgage lender for the first time. The mortgage lender stayed in touch more than our own realtor. He didn’t even show up at our signing appointment!
Negative experience: Will be going to another realtor after attempting to work with this company. The realtor I connected with was pushy, didn't listen to the questions I had and couldn't even get my name right. I still get emails addressed to "Aaron". (My name is Eric.)
Fantastic experience: Very professional well informed and highly professional staff. We were well supported on the sale of pur current and purchase of our new home.
Fantastic experience: Bryan has been so patient and helpful! We were planning on selling through him but when then the market turned on us. But he's been super amazing!!
Negative experience: Connie was the realtor for my daughter and I in selling my daughter's home. She was friends with the buyer and it was very obvious in the way we were treated she was only out to help the buyer. Very disappointed. I would not recommend her as a realtor.
Negative experience: Going through Keller Williams and having Chris Schmalz as our realtor was THE BIGGEST mistake our lives. He was all about helping and answering our questions and talking all big before and up until we sighed the contract. After that, he stopped answering our phone calls, and it would take a while to get back to us. He also made sure to not take ANY of the phone calls or texts to show our home. I HAD TO TAKE THEM ALL. While at work mind you. I set up all the showings, and made all the arrangements for other realtors to go in and out of the house. It was a lot of stress and extra work I didn't think we signed up for. So I SOLD my home, and still had to pay them over $12k.... kinda messed up. Then he has the AUDACITY to call and leave me a voice mail asking to leave a 5☆ review, without knowing if we sold or bought a house with him..... ummmmm NEVER will we go back to keller williams if we sell or buy.
Positive experience: I've got the opportunity to work with Jennifer Shippen wonderful lady, helpful, careing after and during buying process she'd check in on how things are going with self and home.
Negative experience: We were on the opposite buying end with these guys. The agent didn't respond when we discovered things that were put in contract weren't done. They told us that we couldn't do a final walkthrough and discovered the fridge, microwave, screen door and several other items were broken and trashed. This was after our inspection. Tried to get ahold of them and he wouldn't respond. Imagine what they do when you don't know. He never even tried to make it right
Hi Melissa, I am sorry you had a bad experience on this transaction. If you could please call our office and ask to speak to the Broker we would be happy to look into this deal for you and see what problems occurred and how we might rectify some of your concerns, Our office number is (208) 529-8888. Regards,
Dwayne Coburn
Negative experience: We recently lost both our parents within a couple of months and needed to sell their home. A realtor working for Keller Williams in Idaho Falls mentioned it to an associate in his office who sold the home. The realtor who mentioned it pressured my sister into getting his full percentage, minus $1000.00, even though all he did was MENTION it, he stole $15,000 from us. He totally took advantage of her, she was tired and emotional and went to his office alone. I will NEVER use a Keller Williams Realty Company to sell my home and I will encourage associates to not use them if this is the type people they employ. He was dishonest and manipulative. I didn’t want to give even one star but I wasn’t able to post unless I did!
Fantastic experience: Stopped in to speak with Josh, about some business. Super nice guy, as well as a very nice place.
Fantastic experience: Best real estate company in the world! I'm biased, however, because I work here! But it really is! Just give me a call and find out or download my app! IdahoRealtyApp.com
Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Brian. He answered all my questions and stayed right there thru the whole process. Very professional and honest. Would recommend him and his people to anyone
Positive experience: They didn't get us a house warming present.
Fantastic experience: Enjoy Dana help with helping me find a home even when we have delays and challenges hes right there to help and give suggestions and I appreciate that alot as this is all new to me
Positive experience: They work hard to get your business.......
Fantastic experience: Ryan Webster is who assisted us through our home buying experience. He was awesome! We had a couple strange things happen with the house we bought and he was always there to provide input or just listen to me vent. It didn't take long to find our home cause he was quick to learn what we liked. Very knowledgeable about different things lenders may be concerned about come the appraisal. All in all with Ryan in our corner we had a good experience.
Negative experience: See post from Tyler Workman for start of review. Seven Days before we were scheduled to close on our sell and purchase Ryan decided it was time to notify the builders of the home, we wanted to purchase that we were not going to be able to close on time. The builders had informed Ryan that we were obligated to purchase their home and if we were not able to follow thought with our contract that they would pursue us legally for lost profits, interest etc. Ryan debated with them that the contract is contingent on our house selling. Turns out that all contingencies were void through the addendums that the builder had sent us. Ryan admitted to us that he had not read the documents and had advised us to just sign them. Ryan tried to terminate the contract but in return we received a letter from the builder stating they choose to take legal action against us. We put our house back on the market and were able to accept a new offer to sell within a week. Luckily, this couple already had approved financing, cash down and wanted to close soon. Once we knew this deal was going to work, we reached out to the builders to make an addendum to our original contract. The builder’s agent was unable to talk at the time, so Ryan reached out the builders directly. The builders had told Ryan that they didn’t want to sell the house through him because of some comments and text messages he had sent to their agent. Ryan said to the builder, so you’re not going to sell this house to my clients because of something I’ve done? Long story short… we were able to purchase the house, but the price was increased $1,563 and we had to pay $500 to extend our rate lock. This was the most stressful time of our lives and we feel the need to share our experience to hopefully save someone from having to go through something similar. Our recommendation is to research your realtor and shop around for a realtor. Your personalities need to mesh, and you need to be able to trust that your realtor has your best interest at heart. Also, find someone who is willing to educate you on the process, so you know what to expect every step of the way.
Negative experience: This review is not to bash on Ryan Hansen or The 5 Doors Team but to save someone from having an experience like ours. I’m going to try and keep it as short as possible but keep important details. In November of 2018, we decided to sell our house. We listed it on Zillow for sell by owner and with that we received numerous calls from realtors who wanted to represent us. At the time we did not want a realtor but later received a call from a gentleman that showed interest in purchasing our house. This gentleman ended up being an employee/coworker of Ryan’s who had convinced us to speak with Ryan. We thought this would be a phone conversation but ended up being an in-home appointment. We discussed our goals with selling and purchasing a home with Ryan and through that conversation decided to use him as our realtor. After signing the consulting agreement, we notified our neighbors. One of them was interested in purchasing our home as an investment property but did not want realtors involved. Ryan was understanding of this and agreed to process the paperwork for this transaction for $500. Long story short they were not able to get funding. Before signing the consulting agreement with Ryan, we had a couple that extended an offer that we were not able to accept. Ryan reached out to their realtor to start a negotiation process and with that we were able to get in contract. It took several, counter offers to get to this point in which Ryan failed to disclose several important factors that were in the offer. Such as, they buyers wanted our washer, dryer, deep freezer, fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and horse shelter. We understood and agreed that some of these items are a given, but we were not willing to sell our washer, dryer and deep freezer with the home. Luckily, I had read through the inter document prior to signing instead of trusting that Ryan was disclosing all information. The contact was active Dec 15th and was schedule to close Feb 8th. With being in contract to sell our home, we extended an offer on purchasing a home with it being contingent on our house selling. Things seemed to be going smoothly until the appraisal came back nearly $50K less then agreed selling price. Both realtors and the mortgage company felt the property was well under valued on the appraisal and prepared documents to submit to the VA for re-evaluations. After submitting comparisons to the VA to help them re-evaluation the property value the government was shutdown. We still had a month until we were scheduled to close and were told by the VA that it could take up to 4 weeks to get a response. Knowing there was a chance we were not going to close on time we asked Ryan to notify the builders of the house we wanted to purchase so they were aware of the situation. Ryan suggested to not tell them and that there is a chance we could still close by the 8th. As time went on, we knew we were not going to close on time. See next post from Taylor Hope for continued review.
Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently purchased a home with the help of Lisa Trainor. She was great to work with through the entire process and was always available to answer any questions we had. We would definitely recommend working with her!
Fantastic experience: If you are looking for an agent to either help you sell or buy your house then look no further than Nikki Marcovitz. My family and I recently moved from out of state to Idaho and bought our first house. Nikki helped us with every part of the process and went above and beyond. Before we came out here she called us to check in every couple of months while we were out of state. She took what is a naturally and extremely stressful process and made it a breeze. My husband and I highly recommend Nikki to anyone and everyone either looking to buy or sell a home.
Fantastic experience: Bryan Chaffin was incredible, patient and kind and really helped us find home right for us!! Most important he stays on top of everything!! This man really is awesome!!!
Fantastic experience: Kim Rose is phenomenal! She helped our family with our sale and our purchase and I have been blown away with how much she knows about real estate and how much she cares about our family. She is always ready with a plan of action, an encouraging word and a helping hand. She made sure that absolutely every detail was taken care of with both contracts. We’ve sold and purchased on our own before, but we’ll never do that again now that we know the difference a fantastic realtor makes! Thank you, Kim!!!
Fantastic experience: Goes the extra mile! I worked with Morgan Peterson, he helped my sell my fathers home in Idaho and coordinated with another realtor in Utah to purchase a condo for him there. I had virtually No Work do. Answered all my questions and was very professional.
Fantastic experience: Reed Raymond was excellent. I live in Boise and had to sell my house from the oposite side of the state. He did everything I couldn't and got me closed and paid. He did great.
Fantastic experience: Made my buying experience as smooth as I could ask for.
Positive experience: Please Read: I've been working with Morgan regarding the sale of my rental condo there in Idaho Falls. Right off the bat I noticed that his assistant really didn't understand the difference between the sale of a rental property and a regular home. Pretty soon it seemed that she was working for the seller instead of me. I was pretty consistently interrupted in my conversations regarding my concerns. It all went south and Morgan had to rescue the mess. I gave the agency 4 stars because he did rescue the deal. If he hadn't, I would have given one star, pulled out of the deal and started over with another real estate agency. In my opinion, Idaho is a pretty backward place anyways, this seemed to fit the status quo of my ten years experience living there. I will give this advice: KW needs to come up to speed with the rest of the United States in terms of knowledge, customer service, and loyalty. This isn't the 1950's, people will rob you blind in a real estate deal when the buyer is out of state. You did save it, but it was expensive for you. Please learn from the mistakes.
Negative experience: I recently contact Franzisco Barreto about a home that has been on the market for almost a year. He was abrasive, rude, and patronizing. I asked if the owners would consider alternative financing options, to which he replied, they would, but they required a 62%-77% down payment. Frankly, anyone who has $50,000 in cash would not be looking into these kinds of property. The owner of the property has been stuck maintaining and paying on the property for almost a year and Mr. Barreto refuses to pass along offers on the property that don't fit his abstract idea of the absolute needs of his client. Mr. Barreto does not act with respect for the seller or the buyer.
