We stayed in touch in the subsequent years, and this year, she helped us sell my mother's house after her death in June 2024. That process was NOT simple - it involved getting tenants out, bringing the home into compliance with some City codes and resolving violations, etc. What's more, we were much more under the gun with timing - it was important for various reasons to get it done in 2024, and we could not list the home until October. We accepted a buyer's offer at a terrific price - and then the work REALLY began! Over the course of weeks and months, into the holidays, Keri and her team GOT THE JOB DONE. They were gracious, tireless, highly competent, and persistent. We closed just before Christmas and all funds changed hands before the end of the calendar year, just as we'd hoped - and at a very good price. Having bought my first starter home/condo in Hancock Park Adjacent in 1999 after college, and recently remarried, I decided to list the property for a quick sale in order to utilize funds for family purposes. I was looking for a realtor with astute market knowledge, access to off-market buyer candidates, and a fresh sales strategy... and Keri had all of these in spades! I valued that Keri had her finger on the latest real estate pulse and that she was extremely responsive to my questions. Keri, Natasha & the whole team were incredible, and the escrow agent Veronica who worked with me guided me through the process seamlessly. My advice to sellers: work with a knowledgeable, aggressive agent with sharp sales strategy... AND have realistic, achievable expectations of the outcome if you want a FAST and ENJOYABLE experience. BRAVA TEAM! Addendum 5/25/24: ok, weeks later I'm still impressed by the speedy sale, so here are details. Wednesday: staging was done. Thursday: Photos taken. Experiencia fantástica: We were first time buyers so there was a lot to learn about and get acclimated with the home buying process. We initially used Redfin to view various properties, but ended up contacting Keri through a friend's recommendation. She was extremely helpful from the very start with scheduling showings, sending us properties that had yet to be listed and accompanying us on probably over 25 showings throughout our 7 month search process. We had to take a short hiatus due to the arrival of a newborn, but even then, Keri checked in and informed us of any solid home prospects. Not with Keri White! She was there for us every step of the way - from patiently showing family members places before we moved across the country to the final closing. Experiencia fantástica: This is our 4th transaction with Keri, and there is a reason we keep coming back! This was by far, our most challenging transaction ever as it became a double-contingent sale! Our family outgrew our home, and we were looking to buy in a very specific area. We casually looked around and saw a house we liked. That week, Keri had our house in perfect condition, had professional photos/video taken, up on the MLS in a few days, and open houses scheduled. We got a solid offer and a backup offer secured. After submitting a few offers in a very competitive market, we stumbled upon another home that was perfect for our family in an even better location. After putting in a strong offer, we received a counter back with their own contingency to sell! There were MANY stressful weeks of inspections, changing COE dates, changing rent back days multiple times, dealing with VA loans on the selling side, and many colorful personalities. However, we finally closed escrow on our sale and closed escrow on our dream home. We thought we would never make it past the finish line, but Keri made it happen! It takes so much trust, communication, and transparency between buyers and their agent. There were so many moments of doubt and anxiety during this arduous process, but Keri always assured us. She laid everything out of the table for us (with visual graphs!) and went over all our options. She even stayed in touch while out of the country on her honeymoon! I have met my fair share of agents. It seems that these days, every agent just sees those dollar signs, but Keri truly cares for her clients. Before I even looked at a condo, she met me for a coffee close to where I lived and walked me through the entire process of buying a home (I was a first-time homebuyer) and then emailed me a PDF laying it all out in one document. Once we got started, she either accompanied me to a showing or, if I went to an Open House on my own, she'd call me after to see how it went. She never pressured me to put an offer on a place I was lukewarm about or to offer more money than what I wanted. The entire process took about 6-7 months (midway through, I went from looking for 2bed/2baths to 1bed/2baths) and she never lost steam or appeared to be frustrated with my particularity. In the end, we found the perfect place together and, after some back-and-forth, got the seller to come done $25K from what she was initially asking.
