Experiencia fantástica: I have used Rita for both renting and buying. I never had any qualms or problems while renting from her. I just bought a house and had remembered how good she was when I rented from her, so I contacted her about buying a house. The first contact we had was about 6 months prior to us looking at houses. She sat on the phone with me for a good half hour and explained the whole home buying process, answered all my crazy questions, and told me what my first steps should be. Once we started actually looking at houses, she was there every step of the way. She could tell I had NO knowledge about home buying, so she would send me emails/texts/calls when something needed done on my end, or just letting me know what was happening on her end. She made the entire process so seemless and effortless. Plus, we got the first house we put an offer in on, and actually got the house at the price we wanted! She is still always available with answers to my questions even after closing. And she literally knows everything. I don’t recall ever asking her a question she didn’t know the answer to! Since she has been in the business so long, she knows so many field-related individuals/companies that she can recommend for servicing your house, which was very helpful since I had only ever rented and never needed things like carpet cleaning, roof repair, etc. And she is very straight and to the point- which I liked, because I believe it was her straight forward attitude that made everything go as smoothly as it did. I cannot say enough good things about Rita- I wouldn’t even consider using anyone else should I ever be in the market again. I actually used to work for a competitor company and still prefer her! You won’t be disappointed if you choose to work with her.

Experiencia negativa: We applied to a rental that Rita had told us was open to a short term leasing option which we needed during a home building. She had implied that there had been little activity with the property which was what had opened them up to a 4 month lease. We saw the rental and thought it would work, so we applied as soon as possible. At the showing on a Thursday Rita told us the earliest she could look at the application was Monday. During the showing I know she had been sick but seemed lackluster offering up very little information and just offering to let us roam for a bit. After going through the process I got a call from Rita "Good news, bad news. You got approved! But we are going with a different applicant who is willing to go for a six month lease." Knowing we needed to move in urgently the presentation of there being any good news felt like an insult. She then told me we had both applied on the same day. Which again she had said was the "earliest" she could look. I had actually dropped the application off on Saturday. She did attempt to save it by keeping an eye out for other rental opportunities she manages knowing that when we contacted her this was the only one willing to work in our situation. Also again knowing our urgent situation. The cheerfulness in her approach to notifying me left me feeling insulted. Why even pretend there is a silver lining? This whole thing felt like we were being set up to be the backup in case the other applicant failed. Lesson learned, will not use this office or agent again.
