The first time I worked with her was not only my first real estate transaction, but I was also in the Cleveland area for the first time, and had five days to figure out a housing arrangement. Without Christy by my side, I probably would have given up and just rented, which was not what I wanted to do. She was relentless in her efforts to find me the perfect home for my situation. Her local knowledge was critical in guiding me to a phenomenal deal on a home that ultimately exceeded my expectations. I’ve worked with her twice since then, the latest purchase being this past fall, and in every instance, she has continued to raise the bar. Zillow asks for me to rate her in four categories: local knowledge, process expertise, responsiveness, and negotiation skills. While I rate Christy as five stars in each of these, they don’t encompass why I would arduously recommend her to anyone seeking my council in selecting an agent (and I have, I have referred several co-workers and friends to her). In an industry where the professionals are all too often measured against volume, Christy sets her self apart by being a consummate professional who truly embodies her clients’ best interests. In each of the purchases I have worked with her on, there has been an instance where I was on the cusp of making an offer for entirely too much money. A lesser agent would silently let me make that mistake as, after all, if I pay too much, that means everyone’s commission is higher. Not Christy, she, on numerous occasions, has talked money out of her own pocket to ensure I made an intelligent purchase that was at a price commensurate to the market conditions and home I was purchasing. Before I started working with Christy, I talked to numerous agents. I went with Christy because she seemed to have the best local knowledge and was very responsive to my needs. But, it wasn’t until it became clear her representation of me was focused solely around ensuring I got the perfect home at the perfect price that I was abundantly confident I had selected correctly. In short, she subordinates her own considerations to that of her client. That is an extremely rare quality in a person, much less a person in a sales related position. Anyone trying to find a real estate professional who doesn’t at least call her, is doing themselves a grave injustice. I intend to purchase more houses in North East Ohio.
