I am sorry to hear about the issues you've experienced and completely understand how frustrating that must be.
For clarity: I owned the home for only 3yrs without and flooding or sewer backups. Had I known about such a problem, I absolutely would have disclosed it. This appears to be an unforeseen issue with the city's sewer system (as you mentioned the cause being), which I had no way of predicting.

When your attorney reached out, I simply noted the downspouts had been moved above ground and redirected 6ft away from the house, per your request. I never implied this caused the issue, as I had no idea on the repairs or root cause. It was simply stated due to being different from when I owned it.

Despite our differences during the sale, I do wish you the best in your new home.
