Experiencia fantástica: Our best decision of 2024 was hiring Shorb Fafoglia as our buy-side and sell-side agents! We were selling a 3BR condo in DC with plans to move to Northern VA and were referred to Jack, Eric, and Justin by friends who had also worked with them. We were impressed from the beginning by the team's detail orientation, experience and expertise, and customer service focus. The SFG team exceeded our (already high) expectations in every way throughout the buying and selling process. On the buy side, they set up dozens of tours for us -- we were very picky, with a long list of "must haves" and "nice to haves" -- and accompanied us on the tours, helping us learn more about what we liked and things to watch out for. We were even open to renting if we didn't find the right place to buy, and they set up rental tours, too. The final property we chose met all our "must have" AND all our "nice to have" criteria. When we were ready to offer, Jack was a brilliant negotiator, saving us money and helping us get a seller credit that we could use for a rate buy-down and closing costs. On the sell side, we (unintentionally) really made the SFG team work for their commission! We ended up in a very, very tricky negotiation, and it's certain that we would not have closed the sale without Eric and Jack's expertise, calm demeanor, and negotiating skills. The final sale was a huge win for us, saving us both time and money. Throughout the process, Jack, Eric, Justin and everyone on the SFG team went above and beyond, recommending great vendors for us, meeting vendors at our property (e.g. painters, stagers), and holding our hands every step of the way. It really felt like concierge-level service. But the best part of working with Jack, Eric, and Justin is that they are all awesome people (and with a great sense of humor). We trust them completely, and we recommend them enthusiastically and without reservation.

If they couldn't handle something themselves (arranging for inspections; providing reasonable recommendations for home improvements that increased the sale potential of the house; arranging for contractors; producing and distributing quality marketing materials; meeting contractors; letting potential buyers in; etc.), which they usually did, they provided vetted references for services we needed to arrange ourselves (movers, for example). We have bought and sold several houses in Maryland, Florida, and Virginia and this was the most painless, seamless process we have been through. Our latest sale involved inspections from two HOAs - our neighborhood cluster and Reston Association - Eric's team handled it! It was like staying at a 4-start hotel knowing that whatever you needed, it would be taken care of. Experiencia fantástica: One of the biggest worries when my aging parents were dying was how on earth would I handle dispersing all the “stuff” in their house that had accumulated over 65 yrs and get their large but very old house sold. I knew Ellie from my neighborhood and I trusted her judgment to get me through this process. Her assistance went way beyond just listing the house for sale … she brought in people who could help us parse through what furnishings were valuable and worth selling and which should go to charity. And for those items worth selling, she had a stable full of folks who were willing to buy. As part of this process, she recommended movers who could “do it all” and get the stuff where it needed to go. She had house cleaners ready to come in and clean-up after the house was fully vacant. And she had a buyer for the property within a week of the “for sale” sign going up! Ellie is THE BEST! I can’t recommend her highly enough (and my sister is now using Ellie to sell her house later this year!).

He worked around our crazy schedules, answered all our questions, asked questions we didn't even think to ask and most importantly (especially for the DC market) moved fast. As first time homebuyers in such a competitive market, we were expecting this to be a long and difficult process with lots of disappointments. We ran into Eric at an open house event in early 2020 and has been instrumental in us finding our dream home! His knowledge of the DMV area is phenomenal and has great insights on what to look for and more importantly, how to navigate the housing market. One of the most important qualities we were looking for in a realtor is someone that understood our taste. Eric very quickly understood what we were looking for and gave us great pointers on how we could visualize our lives in the houses we toured. There were many times when the craziness of the housing market caused us to lose hope but Eric was right there to make sure that we stayed the course. He was professional, personable, polite, kind, patient, detail oriented, responsive and a great listener in order to know our specific needs and wants in finding the perfect house for us. We were moving from VA to MD and although our house hunting process seemed endless and quite disappointing at times in this market, he made sure to encourage us during the process and kept searching for us.
