Experiencia negativa: I will never rent from this property management again. I was a loyal tenant of 13 years and complied to the 30 day notice when I moved out, I also removed everything nothing was left behind and patched up a few holes that were made from hanging from pictures. When I asked the manager Christopher if he recommended that i have them do a walk through to determine if there will be any charges he said they dont charge for carpet cleaning or walls because I've been there a long time and its normal wear and tear, so he said they can do it once everything is moved out. He didn't really seem to know his job and gave me incorrect information because when I went to drop off the keys I spoke with Tammy who said I was supposed to have them do a walk through with everything there still. So I just left it at that paid all my rent up to the prorated 30 days. She said she would get back to me about my deposit. 30 days later I get a notice saying I owe money due to all the repairs needed. I called and asked what repairs everything was exactly like it was when I moved in mind you they did not have the place move in ready when I moved in. Roach poop everywhere in the cabinets, door bell broken, cabinets old and chipping, everything was outdated. But somehow I was responsible for paying that. But I did go in to speak with Tammy and she said that the notice wad wrong and they are still working on my deposit just to wait. Another couple weeks pass and I get a check in the mail for 11 dollars with attached charges. I called Tammy and spoke with her letting her know that I disagree with some of the charges and she said to send her an email. So I did and never heard anything back. At this point I know I am not getting anything back. But I wanted to help others to prevent this from happening again. Be sure to take pictures before you move out because they will lie and penny pinch you for your whole deposit. Sad to say this but I had a horrible move out experience not professional. Hope this review helps someone.

Experiencia negativa: First I want to say this was THE ABSOLUTELY! Worse property iv ever lived in! Please run don’t walk away from anything they are renting! They are slum lords! I lived in a property with them for 6years when I first moved in multiple things where wrong none of the drawers would completely close none of the cabinets would close completely there was cracks in the tile and kitchen counter tops. When it rained my entire hallway would flood! I had to put pots and pans down they would NEVER come fix it! Within 3yrs I had a full apartment of roaches! I would see them here and there and did all I can to keep them under control but the whole apartment complex EVENTUALLY began infested when I called management they said that is something I had to take care of ON MY OWN even though I didn’t bring them there lol my mail would get stolen out my box I called and asked about locks he said that wouldn’t be possible and if I buy my own I would have to leave it and the key behind lol with no reimbursement. My sink was broken for the last yr I was there and no one ever came out to fix it even with multiple request being made! My bathtube had a slow leak of hot water no matter it being turned to cold for a yr! Called out multiple maintenance requests they would come out and never actually fix the issue my gas bill went up tremendously and mold would build around my tub! Once I moved out they had the balls to charge me for a pest control fee lmfao! Go figure ! I am currently waiting on my complete invoice but if they add things that are wear and tear like blinds etc ! I will go down there and talk with them and if no resolution I will proceed to legal actions because I know they will try to rip anyone off! I’m not sure if it’s the owner or this management company but either way yall are money hungry slum lords! And you will be dealt with accordingly! Ripping off single moms shame on you all! Then the audacity to ask for a credit score of 600 please! Save your self and families the trouble and never rent with them! Also I have receipts on everything iv mentioned!

Experiencia fantástica: I had such a great experience with Blue Star Properties! The application and move-in process were super easy and stress-free, and the team was always quick to respond. Any maintenance issues I had were taken care of right away — no waiting or runaround, which I really appreciated. A huge thank you to Rick, Tammy, and Chrisy for being so kind, professional, and on top of everything from start to finish. You can tell they truly care about their tenants and keep things running smoothly. Honestly, I think some of the negative reviews come from people who probably didn’t pay rent on time or didn’t take care of their place. I never had a single issue — they were fair, respectful, and easy to work with the whole time. I’d definitely recommend Blue Star Properties to anyone looking for a clean, reliable, and stress-free place

Experiencia negativa: This is the worst property management company around here. They do not comply with landlord tenant laws. They steal money from their tenants illegally. They take advantage of people who don't understand their rights. My friend left their crappy apartment after 8 years and they claimed he owed $3,000 in damages. I understand basics of the law so I got involved and began asking for the invoices that they legally have to provide. The manager accidentally left me on an email to her superior saying she was going to tell me to "kick rocks". What they provided was a note from the maintenance man with a handful of small things written on it that were illegal to charge the tenant for, such as mini blinds (8 yrs is normal wear and tear for $10 blinds) and they were even charging him for a doorbell he never even had!! It also listed a sticker on a closet door. Again, NO invoices were provided, which is illegal. After my emails, they wound up sending him a check for over $200 (his deposit was $800) instead of charging him $3,000 even, which is a made up number which is illegal. I want all of you to know that the law states that the landlord has to return your deposit IN FULL within 21 days or they have to provide you with invoices or quotes for the work that was actually done it needed, also within 21 days. If they don't.... You can sue them. Guess what? If they are going to be keeping your deposit "in bad faith", which means being greedy and fraudulent, the judge can order them to pay you not only your deposit back, but 2 times your deposit as a punitive (punishment) measure. They do this to stop these landlords from robbing their tenants. Currently I'm living next door to a BS (lol) property and there is a smashed garage door falling down that I have to look at every day. They are SLUMLORDS and do not take care of their properties. I would never move into a BS property! At my friend's previous apartment the management would not address problem neighbors which led to a shooting on the property. They take advantage of lower income people who don't know their rights.

Experiencia negativa: I have experienced unprofessional rude customer service on a deposit refund from a female. And because of this I asked for a upper management POC and have left several voice messages and have not received a return call on my matter. What amazes me is that the female there address with responding the customer (me) with personnel life afair issues that have zero to do with the matter of my refund. I firmly believe that training of customer service should be revisited for all staff. God Bless

Experiencia negativa: The property they manage on Sueno lane has a problematic tenant there that’s been causing problems since last year. Well last nights incident takes the cake, she kicked my door in breaking it and now it won’t lock at all police were called and they took about an hour to come and absolutely did nothing to her until I gave them the value of the door which I don’t know because I don’t know the cost I do not own the apartments. After hours maintenance was contacted last night with me putting a work order in for the door to be fixed because it won’t lock and after an hour I got a call back from them stating they were sending someone about to fix the door. That was at 9:15pm and today at 1:36 pm still no maintenance worker here to replace the door. Do u know how scary it was to try and sleep with a door that won’t lock with 3 children in the apartment? I couldn’t sleep and had to use furniture to barricade the door putting a bell on the knob so that I could here the bell jingle in case of possible intruders. All the Bluestar Property management people did was give me a number to the Royalty Carpet Care people and states they do repairs as well, and Randy only asked if I called the police and asked for a police report. I don’t understand why this last has not been evicted when multiple tenants since last year have complained about her erratic behavior, threats, and now vandalism. What mire is is going to take for them to remove her from the premises why should everyone else have to move because of that problematic tenant. Most of us can’t afford to move at the moment, and she’s the one causing intentional damage to their property and harassing the neighbors since last year. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MANAGAMENT COMPANY AT ALL. They do not care about their tenants safety and will only speak to u thru email and not resolving matters in a timely manner or not resolving them at all this is the second major incident I’ve had with them and they are way too nonchalant about handling emergencies. If a zero star rating existed that’s would this place would receive!!!!!!

Hey Celise, sorry to see this rating, but completely understand!! We are so over the top frustrated with Covid, lack of respect of residents, court closures, and non care of overwhelmed police. The past two years courts have been closed and evictions we're stopped by the government...took all power and control away from landlords and managers and left residents to truly fend for themselves. We have had zero control to deal with unruly rude neighbors and police do so little when called. We called our after hours service tech, he was sick, we scheduled Royalty's maintenance guy yesterday morning and he called back sick with Covid, then scheduled Delbert yesterday afternoon to get the deadbolt working to at least secure the door. We have sent notices to your neighbor but still cannot evict in court...so frustrating. They will be billed for the damage and removed as soon as the government and courts allow it. We are so sorry your family went through this event. Lastly, I did notice you were behind on your rent and if you could work to get current it would be appreciated. Thanks for some understanding of our frastrated position.

Experiencia negativa: My husband had applied for a duplex last week when it was still up on the website because we are in dire need to find a place to stay. I called on Tuesday to check the application since it was MLK day Monday. A receptionist answered she never stated her name but it's the only one who works there since everytime I called she answered. She's actually quite rude speaks over you so it's hard to communicate with her. I had talk to her about my husband's application that she was supposed to run the credit for and she was beating around the bush to run the credit since she wanted me to apply. (I got the sence she was purposely not helping us out) . I couldn't get the application since they had removed the unite from the website and I had asked her several times wear I was gonna apply. she avoided my question. We ended up emailing the manager and got no response. It seemed to me she just didn't want to run our application. This place is definitely not professional and lacks communication skills.

Sorry about that. We had over 100 inquiries and tried to get back to people that we needed more info. We need applications for all adults in property. We process on first come first serve. Our receptionist just came back after a multi month leave this week and our leasing manager was out yesterday too. I know it is hard to find rentals now as has been the past couple years. There is just very few vacancies that come up. You should get a full refund on any fee paid if your application was not processed. We try our best and demand is nuts. Again, we do apologize.

Experiencia negativa: Hey Folks at Bluestar, you need someone new on HOA, Maria never answers the phone, never returns calls, and right now they are towing people because of the concrete pour, i just ran into this little older lady in the parking lot on the verge of tears asking if anyone saw her car why is it so hard to check if the plates of a car with no pass are on record? and if the plates are on record why cant they call the phone number on record, and if the phone wont answer, then they must be home because the car is there in the parking lot, send out your parking monitor to knock on the door and give residents a chance to put their pass up before towing

I heard that they took over some properties off of mini road in Apple valley was thinking about moving down to the high desert again to be closer to family members however they didn't have any other listings but I have no problem this was staying in the mountains.

Experiencia negativa: Last night our neighbors had a big party until 6 am as they usually do. They and their guests busted out windows on almost every car on the property including mine. Everyone has complained about their loud parties and the fact that they have disrespected other tenants and threatened them. Blue star has done nothing about them. I demand Bluestars insurance cover not only my cars damaged window but also everyone else. This is ridiculous and our home is not safe. I emailed Bluestar with pictures and no response as usual. Very bad place to live and Bluestar just doesn’t care. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! Response to owner; I already did.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely terrible unacceptable this property management is. I've dealt with them two separate times both times having the same results and the same treatment which is not only unprofessional and unacceptable but it's despicable!!! So this time we're taking matters into our own hands and into the Court's hands because as you can see from the past year they have not done their part nor held up their end of the bargain in this rentals agreement contrac to as far as what they're required to do as a property management company. I won't get into the specifics just yet, I will have an update once moved out. People just need to know DO NOT go through blue star properties unless you want to be scammed out of thousands of dollars and hustled from them and the slumlord they represent.

Appreciate your heresy comments. People get charged for the damages or unpaid rents they have at move out. Amazes us how some people take such poor care of their "home", but fortunately these people are far and few between, we mostly have GREAT residents that do care about their home Best of luck with your search.

Experiencia negativa: We called a year ago to get a leek fixed in our apartment bluestar said they get someone out to fix it never came then they send a email saying it’ll be later because of COVID then never came still it’s raining again and our room is ruined and when we talked to the people who fixed the apartment they said there was no leeks and really tired to tell us there is no leeks when obliviously there is and now we have over a thousand dollars in damages we called they said they would called back and never did they only fixed the window in the room because there was a hole in it and didn’t even do a good job on that we called also about our toilet leek they never came also when I first got in the apartment there was hair on the walls that was just pained over two out on the three doors where the wrong doors that don’t stay close it looked like they just put any door on it’s way to small the bath room door doesn’t lock you can push it and it will open just like the room door

Experiencia negativa: They’ve been our property management company for all of one month and we are already having problems. My kitchen sink leaks, as does my dishwasher. Let the landlord know and they ignored it. Two weeks after I told the landlord about this problem, some lady from Bluestar is knocking on my door letting me know that they’re taking over as property management and to call them directly with any issues. Never got any warning about it from the landlord/owner. I called the maintenance director, Lupe, on her line and left a voicemail about my sink and dishwasher, no call back. Called the maintenance request line a week later and put in a request for my sink to be fixed. 3 weeks go by, nothing. Not a word from anyone. Called yesterday to request maintenance again and the woman I spoke to told me that on her end it said that the previous maintenance request had been completed. ABSOLUTELY FALSE. She placed another request, no one showed up yesterday, and no one is here today, and I bet no one will show up tomorrow either. UPDATE: Maintenance manager is rude and assumed we don’t pay for water since we live in an apartment after one of their contractors used my spigot without permission. Her exact words were “you live in an apartment. You don’t pay water.” So the water bill that’s IN MY NAME means I don’t pay water, right? Still have yet to hear back from anyone regarding this and I’ve requested for them to contact me about it 3 or 4 times.

Experiencia negativa: We have been without hot water since Thursday last week. Lupe told me that the Maintenance Man (onsite) would look at it this weekend, no one has done anything!!!! I keep calling everyday and asking for updates and an ETA and no one has called me back. I called Tammy and emailed her also, she has not called me. Owner doesn't seem to care at all!!! Been there over 4 years and are looking to buy a home ASAP. This place is awful. Owner is a slumlord! He doesn't care if septic tank backs up onto property! Carpets are 20 years old and padding is thin and nasty. They don't care. Missing window screens, they don't care! One of their maintenance personnel shoved a crushed soda can under our kitchen sink to keep pipes up after finding out they leaked. It's still there. This place is seriously lacking proper preventative maintenance and it shows. Beyond angry I cannot do dishes, do laundry, take a hot shower, and give my toddler a bath. But rent goes up every 2 months!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE!!! SHAME ON YOU STEVE (owner of property)

Experiencia negativa: My mother rents from this rental company and 2 months ago I informed them of repairs that are needed to the toilet that is coming off of the floor and the dead bolt lock that has been super glued and unusable. You barely push the door and it opens when the lock is engaged on the door knob and it opens. Both major safety issues for my elderly disabled mother. Not a good place to rent from. And highly encourage people to report long standing problem with housing authority.

Experiencia negativa: Put in a application online, have great credit, more then enough income, perfect rental history, I qualify for everything on their policy list but I can't even get a call back from them. On their website it says you will be notified of approval or rejection of application, nope i got nothing, called and emailed only got no reply and left on hold. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. Starting to think some of its a scam for info. AND WHO IN THIS DAY AND AGE DOESN'T ALLOW PETS ANYWHERE! Oh sure on their site its says in their policy section that they do but ive yet to find a listing that doesn't say NO PETS!

Experiencia negativa: Very unprofessional. I'm renting through them and everytime something needs to be repaired I have to call many times and leave many messages. After that I still have to wait days before even getting a call back. I'm sitting here right now with my kids in a 97° house (third day now) because they are incompetent. Maybe I'll get lucky tomorrow if they feel like doing their job. Oh wait, tomorrow's Monday so, probably not...

Experiencia negativa: Don't hold your breath whenever you call them or leave a message. Took forever to get things fixed. They take your deposit away even if the place is spotless. The paper work you fill out at the beggining mysteriously gets lost. You should keep a copy and pictures of any damage. They will take your deposited away. They should be investigated.

Experiencia fantástica: Bluestar Properties is the best property management company serving the High Desert in my opinion. I have rented two properties from Bluestar in the past few years; during which time I had several maintenance issues which were addressed and repaired very quickly. Since that time, I am now an owner of an apartment complex which Bluestar now manages for me. I am extremely pleased with the management of my property including leasing out the units, taking care of maintenance problems, and accountant questions. The staff has been extremely friendly, helpful, and respectful to me throughout my various interactions with them. I would refer anyone to consider using Bluestar Properties, whether that is to rent a property or for management services.

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely the WORST!!! They don't respond!!!! CAUTION!!!! REGARDLESS OF FAULT IT WILL ALWAYS BE THE TENANTS!!! BE PREPARED TO BE RIPPED OFF!!! Properties are mickey moused together in the first place. Carpet might appear clean when you move in but soon after spots will appear from walking on it because the padding underneath will be filthy!! but that and everything else will be the tenants doing. They supply the company that will fix the problem, and wow to a great surprise!!!! the problem was caused by tenant,,,hmmm wonder why? Dispute charge.... you will be ignored, your rent payment will be taken to pay the bill and then you'll get an eviction notice because you didn't pay your rent all done with your electronic rent payment without your consent!!!, still waiting on answer from 7 mos ago on registered dispute letter that was sent . call leave a mess...call leave a mess.. go out there leave a message, go again.. call again..and again nothing!!! JUST THE BILL SENT!!! NO ANSWER ON DISPUTE...HMM CUZ THEY HAVE NO JUSTIFICATION

Experiencia fantástica: Bluestar does an awesome job with communication and I think that is key to any successful business plan. They have an answering service when they're unavailable... What more can I say? A website for maintenance requests to be placed ANYTIME... Oh and they do a good job when it comes to follow up too... ;) Don't waste your time with someone who won't be there when you need them!! I've been in my apartment almost 3 months, and they're doing a good job still.

Experiencia positiva: Bluestar has been managing my property for almost six months now and they are doing a Fantastic Job! Maintenance Team: Five Stars! They are quick to contact me for requests from the tenant and resolve issues. Billing: Five stars! Detailed statements and on-line access to view. Administration: Three stars. Not always timely in replying to my questions.
