Experiencia fantástica: There is no way I can fully describe how pleased I am with the Galluzzo team. Elena went so far out of her way to help with the transition of getting everything out of the house, helping to organize an estate sale and her empathy for myself and my family. Even after the sale happened, she was directly involved in helping us. Not to forget how quickly they procured a buyer for a good price for us. I was not prepared for the level of support that I got from the Galluzo Team and would completely recommend them to anybody considering either buying or selling a home.

Experiencia negativa: I am unsure on how the Galluzzo Team operates when it comes to buying or selling a home, but we trusted them with finding tenants for a rental property in New York and it was an absolute disaster. The Galluzzo’s have been family friends for over 40 years and being landlords from a different state we trusted them whole heartedly. Unfortunately, not only did they fall short on doing their due diligence in finding top notch tenants, they rented our unit to tenants who were in a an active lawsuit with Fairfield Properties for failure to pay rent and had us sign a two year lease with them. The Galluzzo’s had told us they were upstanding citizens who were just married with a newborn baby; the tenants were far from that. They were unmarried, domestic disturbances with a teenage child and constantly had the police called out to the unit. We received multiple complaints and fines from the HOA board in regard to their actions. After a few months of paying rent, the tenants stopped paying altogether for a remainder of nearly 18 months. This left my family and I crippled trying to float the mortgage and create a lawsuit in order to evict them. The court process time took nearly the remainder of their lease (about 18 months) which lead us to lose nearly $50,000 in rental payments and on top of that, cost us nearly $15,000 in legal fees. After the lawsuit was over and we regained access to our unit, the place was absolutely filthy, full of garbage bags, trash all over the floors of every room and our microwave was removed from the unit. It cost us a few thousand dollars to repair the unit in order to sell the property after the tenants moved out. During the legal process, when I questioned the Galluzzo’s for the documentation on the “thorough background checks, credit check and references,” the only thing they could send me was the credit check. All of the other documents were “misplaced” due to the team “switching firms,” along with a list of our furniture we rented to the tenants that was to be documented by the Galluzzo team prior to the tenants moving in. I will never use their team again or trust them with any aspect of dealing with real estate. When we brought all of this hardship to the Galluzzo’s attention, his text message response was “I can't speak to what happened three years ago I know that we did our due diligence at the time….I have been burned many many times in my 35 years in the real estate business,” and he then went on to compare our situation to a close friend of his who rented his luxury Manhattan apartment to a well known actor and had to sue for over $600,000 damages. We are regular people, not anyone who can afford property in Manhattan or let alone rent them to big name actors. We found no comfort in his response and honestly felt even more taken advantage of. What were once good people have been taken over by greed and selfishness, as long they are making money they don’t care who they hurt in the process.

Chris and Elena helped sell my father’s home after his passing. This was no easy task given its condition and configuration not to mention market conditions at the time. It’s an understatement to say the Galluzzo Team went above and beyond every step of the way, I mean it felt like they were selling their home, that’s how much they cared! They guided me on price which exceeded my expectations because they understood the market and equally important the area, better than anyone else. I was truly amazed at how proactive and hands-on they were. Every time I needed to do something to progress the sale, they were there providing insight, recommendations, referrals and even doing things themselves. Being an out of state seller this made for a seamless and stress-free experience.
