Experiencia negativa: Beware! From my experience, this company works for the landlord. I suspect what N.GM and Mr Harris state below is accurate. I came out better than both of them but I still left with a bad feeling about this company. They act like, your contract is with them but they will do what the landlord asks without verification from what I experienced. I lived in 22 different locations in the military in nearly 22 years of service plus over 18 years as a civilian in Department of Defense so I have plenty of experience in renting and buying property. I needed a short term rental as I was traveling and got a 7 month lease then extended 3 months to help them in not leaving the property in January. I could have been out in January but knew the property would be hard to rent at that point and was not in a hurry. Knowing what I know now, I would have left in January. I have never been treated when renting with the lack of respect and false statements that I received from Aronov Rentals. From the initial review of lease (which they would not let me review beforehand) with Mr Love where they verbally added to the lease, to lights being left on for days after they showed the property, to not giving notice of a showing which they said they did, to my personal documentation on the property that was missing after I came back to clean the property and had not given authority to enter premises, and much more that space does not allow for here. I have never had any deposit withheld until now. I agreed to have money withheld at start of lease for carpet cleaning at the end and that was for $150 (even though the carpet was in good shape when I left). Ms Mendl stated they were withholding another $150 for cleaning. This surprised me since this manager stated repeatedly, we do not hold deposits, if "leave in the shape you found the property" and there would be credit for what I had done. The property was left in far better condition than when I moved in as numerous improvements to include getting rid of most of the cigarette smoke. Ms Mendl provided a list of 4 items that would have taken less than an hour to complete and said she would have provided the deposit back, factoring in what I had done with the property but landlord had $150 in cleaning costs and found items she had not. I questioned in writing as requested by Ms Mendl (noting some of the improvements I had made) so she could send on to the owner. I also provided when seeking direction throughout the lease what the owners wanted. She stated, the owners brought the property as an investment and do not care. The owner responded to inquiry on the $150 by stating what they found. I will just say that was not the way I left the house on 28 April. Some items like the buckled flooring needed to be repaired and I had to wonder, if they inspected after the repairs, since the flooring likely needed sanded. In addition, some of the items were not on cleaning checklist and one would have been near impossible for me to leave behind. I had/have pictures of the property which do NOT support the claims. I will not resort to a debate nor try to incite the owners as they did in their response. It serves no purpose in my opinion. They did reduce the charge to $100. There was no invoice (only a reimbursement back to the owners) nor did Aronov reps state they verified the claims. Ms Mendl flipped back and forth on whether the cleaning was professional cleaning or what landlord did. Basically, she reimbursed me less than $2/hr. The $50 did not even cover materials/supplies, I spent. Ms Mendl who claimed she was very good at inspecting and finding deficiencies did NOT cite these items in her findings. I consider myself fortunate to have only lost $100 that I disagreed with. It should be noted, I took 3 days to clean the house after I moved. New occupants took possession on 2 May, my lease ended 30 April. The new occupants said they took the house because it was clean, cleanest of the four houses they saw. I believe they saw the house on 7 or 9 April before 3 days of cleaning.

Experiencia negativa: I will never rent from this company again. The first time I rented from them, I didn’t have any issues. Traci was my property manager, communication was good and when I moved after 3 yrs I received my security deposit back except for about 150 of it, which was used to clean the carpets. Last year I rented from them again, the property I was renting I was told the owner was looking for somebody long-term and that’s exactly what we were looking for too to keep from having to switch our kids schools. We paid a $2000 security deposit to move in and then after seven months we were told the owner wants to sell the home smh. The owners agreed to let us leave as soon as we found something so we didn’t even do a full year. This time Justin Love was our property manager. He has no management or communication skills whatsoever. I would have to call numerous of times, send emails and even show up to Aronov to get a hold of him. Well he decided to basically take our whole entire deposit over complete BS. He claims they had to paint the walls, the walls were not to the point that the whole house needed to be painting and we didn’t have anything but tv’s on the wall but he charged $600 to paint the walls when we were only there 11 months, he charged $200 for lawn work…we moved out on Aug 31st and had the lawn cut, there lawn people came on September 18th which I have pictures for proof, that was almost 3 weeks AFTER we moved out!!! $400 for cleaning which was done before we moved out and also charged us for the stuff that was left there which was already there when we moved in. He is crook along with the owner, they knew exactly what they were doing. They used us to pay down their mortgage for a year and then told us we had to leave and basically used our whole security deposit to get the house, fresh and ready to put on the market. One thing I do know is, karma is real and God is not sleep. The money that they stole from us…God will make them pay it back 10x times more. It’s some really evil sick people in this world but God will handle them! That’s why 3 months later the house still hasn’t sold HA! Now you can pay 2 mortgages crook!

Never seen such poor care for the properties and we have toured many.

She’s answered all of our questions in a timely manner and was willing to work with us. She made our move to Alabama very smooth, which my wife and I are grateful for.

Experiencia negativa: This organization is among the most unprofessional organizations I've ever dealt with. One star, since zero is not an option. They send reports that include inspections that your home is in "good condition" while the tenants absolutely trash your property. As values in rents and properties have risen there's been no effort to communicate or improve value, and when new tenants move in they "demand" new paint, new carpet, improvements, new fencing...after the place is already rented - so you are forced to eat the difference. Glad to be moving on from them. There have to be better options.

Experiencia negativa: This was by far the worst leasing experience I have ever had. They change property managers every couple of months. Every time I called to talk to someone, it was a different manager. They sent me the renewal and I returned the signed lease and less than 2 weeks later, we received a call that there had been a mistake and the homeowner was not going to renew the lease. Then wanted us out by the end of the month! Email after email asking how much longer we would be needing to move out. Then after they delay corresponding about the remaining deposit, they send a bill for repairs. I worked as a housekeeping supervisor for the US Navy until I moved back to Montgomery. There is no way the house needed $300.00 in cleaning services!

Experiencia negativa: I have rented from a lot of management companies over the years. My experience with Aronov was average until the move out. Upon move out, their tone and professionalism changed. They came after me for unneeded repairs after a very clean walk through( the house was in cleaner and in better shape that when I moved in a year before). I tried to call and find a reasonable compromise, but they lacked the professional courtesy to act in good faith. I would not recommend using this organization. Be very careful upon move out of them padding the repair bills. Low integrity group.

Experiencia negativa: I had the most unpleasant experience renting from Aronov and one of their property managers in Prattville, AL. Throughout the duration of my renting (2 years) I never had a positive interaction with the company. Calls for repairs went unanswered and when they were answered, the property manager acted as if I was being a bother to her. I was told on numerous occasions that due to the COVID19 pandemic "all non emergency work orders would be suspended until further notice." Since when is a busted sink and leaky refrigerator "non emergency"? The leaking from the sink and refrigerator were so bad that I had to hire a plumber out of my own pocket to fix the issue. I was not reimbursed. I've rented from other companies in the past who were more than accommodating when it came to fixing problems in the home. Especially when the problems were no fault of my own. At first I thought it was just me, but judging by the reviews, I'm not alone in my dissatisfaction. You may have noticed that I'm not going into great detail about what went wrong (it was a lot) and it's because I believe the best course of action is to warn EVERYONE to look elsewhere when it comes to renting in the river region. I honestly can't even claim a bait and switch, because the property manager showed me who she was the very first time we met. Rude, impatient, and condescending. If you're looking to rent, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you're looking to buy, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you're looking for property management, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! #AnywhereButAronov

Experiencia negativa: The broker stated that all money wasnt always acceptable so to speak.(you know kinda like segregation) high end such as lawyers and doctors etc welcomed only and no to any other interested parties. My husband and I were also turned off at the fact that we were told that once we were approved( if approved at all) that we could only build what aronov wants to be built on the land. We cant buy and be the new owners and do as we choose with our new property that we just bought. But we could only build what aronov wants to be built there even though we're the ones who paid for it. Thanks but we will be going with a real estate that's a bit more equal opportunity if you know what I mean.

Experiencia negativa: This company is a fraud. DO NOT RENT from them. They placed a collection on my credit report thru a debt collection agency. Apparently, they were attempting to charge over $3,000 worth of repairs after I vacated my rental property. One of the things on the list, $1,400 to paint a freaking wall. I rented a 2,100 sqft property. At $1,400, you can paint the whole house. Complete scammers.

Very prompt addressing maintenance issues all were taken care of within a couple of hours. The town home I rented was very clean and well kept. All the staff that I encountered were very helpful and courteous.

Experiencia negativa: Update 20190128: Mr. Love offered an apology via email and a chance to revisit rental of the property. I declined. --Strike One: property manager Justin Love arrives 20 minutes late to show the house--no introductions, no 'hello'--walks into the house. Texts on his phone as I investigate the property. Offers no information regarding application process. (download) --Strike Two: Office accepts my application with certified bank check, neglects to check for completeness. Justin Love does not run application/leaves message on a non-functioning voicemail. I don't find out until 4 days later when I ask for a status. --Strike Three: Receive email from Justin Love that the house has been rented by someone else who provided deposit before completing the application process. Called to inquire--Betty (supervisor) denies all, will not admit mistakes made at my time and expense. (No Integrity).

Experiencia negativa: Aronov managed our property for 5 years. The staff are overworked and communication is terrible. They only communicate when something needs fixed. We finally decided to part ways 3 months after our last tenant moved out. Aronov received two electric and water bills during this time and never paid them with the funds we had in our account. We were charged late fees with AL Power (small but still) and Aronov had no answer for why they had not paid the outstanding bills. They also claimed to not know about a landlord agreement you can sign with AL Power that would have saved $40 connection fee every time the Power was put back in our name. The last tenant we had received free yard cutting for the first year because our property manager forgot to tell them landscaping was not included in the rent. When I noticed that we were paying for it, Aronov had the nerve to ask us to split the cost with them (Aronov) for the first year and then it would be the tenants responsibility. My last major complaint is the only marketing our home received was being advertised on the Aronov website. No Trulia, no Zillow, nothing. It’s no wonder our home did not rent again. Actually my last complaint is they still cut checks! Get with the 21st century and do direct deposit! They are someone else’s problem now, never again!

I had some issues with things not being cleaned and the next day a very accommodating woman came out and released the entire house. I took photos of items that appeared damaged or dirty and gave a CD to my agent.

Experiencia negativa: The house I rented wasn't cleaned when I moved in, before I left I paid a cleaning company and lawn care company to take care of the house, we'll aranov decided it wasn't good enough and charged me yet again for the house and lawn eating up my deposit. My guess is that they have contracts with these companies to do x amount of business yet charge the tenants with an inflated bill. Will never do business with them again

Experiencia negativa: I'm military and have moved around and rented properties my entire career in the US and abroad. This by far the worst rental experience and property management we've experience. The house was dirty and poorly maintained and every time we have put a work order with Arnov it has taken MONTHS to fix. Their representatives lack empathy and their attitude is simply deal with it there is nothing we can do. Simply absurd and cannot wait for my lease to be up. They deserve 0 stars.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible. They charged me and my wife 4000 after we moved out for damages that were already done to an old house. Plumbing was terrible and our stove came on while we were sleeping and if it wasn't for me leaving for work at night the house probably would've burned down with my family inside. When we moved in the stove was turned off in the breaker box indicating that it had problems but they didn't tell us at all. They are a rip off waiting on anybody to rent. U have to constantly call for someone to come fix problems that will more than likely will have as soon as u move in.

Experiencia negativa: The house was extremely filthy when we moved in. Pet hair covered nearly every surface (pet hair was even found in the refrigerator and oven). There were several layers of grime on the floor that took many cleanings to remove. It was obvious that absolutely no cleaning was done between tenants. Microwave and dishwasher were in total disrepair (rust, mold, and mildew) throughout our lease. They were never truly useable. Communication with the property manager was always timely, however, lack of repairs was frustrating. Beautiful house and good neighborhood but we just could not enjoy living there. I wouldn't recommend renting from this company.

Experiencia fantástica: Out of all of the rental companies we contacted during our home search Aronov was by far the friendliest, most professional, and quickest to respond. The application process was a breeze. Our property manager is attentive.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT rent any house from Aronov!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough! They are all super friendly and accommodating UNTIL you put down a deposit. Then you aren't allowed back in the house you are going to rent until you sign the lease. NOT EVEN for a walk through to make sure it still looks the way it did when you put down the deposit. My mom was DENIED access over and over until she signed the lease. Then the lady said OH I don't know if they told you, but they dyed the carpet. They wouldn't fix it and wouldn't let her out of her lease. It looks like they spray painted it! IT'S HORRIFIC! Then as soon as she got her keys she noticed the microwave was broken and they said anything that's less than $50 to repair is the responsibility of the renter. WHAT?!?! She had just moved in and she's supposed to pay to fix something that was already broken!?! Seriously, DO NOT use Aronov!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently the head honchos at Aronov don't know how the minions over at the rental department do business... but I'm going to make sure everyone else does!
