The fees they charge are comparable to current market trends and you definitely get what you paid for. Derek was phenomenal throughout our whole buying process and he was super patient! Our whole buying process stretched past the 3yr mark and very rarely were they pushy about submitting higher offers. Typically, Bay Area real estate can sell at premiums above list and Zaid/Derek always have the data ready to help us make an informed decision, even if it requires us submitting higher bids. They are great with data and we appreciated the fact that they also ensured everything is well even after the transaction is complete. They have a unique way in submitting offers and do their very best to transfer all the stress away from you. Fantastic experience: We had a great experience working with Derek Duncan from the Hanna group. We met Derek in an open house. As were looking for a buyer's agent, we spoke with Derek and he understood what we wanted. We then had a chat with Zaid as well to understand the buying process and how the Hanna group works. After that we decided to go with Derek as he understood what we wanted. Derek was very patient in the whole process. It took us more than one year to buy our house. We were visiting open houses almost every weekend with Derek. Before coming to the open house Derek would research about the house and find out details like ownership, renovations etc. Often Derek would come to the house 15 minutes prior to the meeting time and would tour the house so that he could tell us better when we looked together. As we grew frustrated with the whole process, Derek would encourage us to keep looking. He was kind and gentle to point us that certain houses were not the ones that fit our criteria and we should not bid for them in a frenzy. Once we bid for a house with contingency as there was no inspection report. After the inspection report we found that we had to spend upwards of 100k to get the house to a state we liked. We decided not to pursue the house despite pressure from the seller's agent. Derek and Zaid were very supportive of this and did not pressure us in any way. Finally our bid was accepted for a house we liked. The team was super helpful in helping us close. The sent step by step instructions on what to do next. Fantastic experience: We worked with Zaid Hanna for buying our home and we had a great experience working with him. The first impression we had of Zaid is that he is data driven, has extensive knowledge of San Jose and surrounding areas and so we decided to work with him. Once we started working with him we realized that he takes time to understand the clients needs and creates a detailed plan for the team(buyers and him) to work against. He is honest, always wants the best for his clients and is data driven. Zaid will never push you to buy a house. He will infact pushback if he sees his clients getting desperate during the home buying process. Once we were in the offer stages we realized there was a huge advantage of working with Zaid - his relationships with other agents which was one of the reasons we got the house. I need to mention this that once we bought the house we had to go out of the country for a month and had some repairs in progress. Zaid took care of all of it although i know he had multiple other initiatives running in parallel because he sensed we were worried on our plan of action to get the house in order. I didn't take that route. However, I appreciate that Zaid took the time to: 1. Bring a contractor to crunch out the numbers and give me a quote. 2. Fantastic experience: The Zaid Hanna Group helped us buy and now sell our 1st house. The Zaid Hanna Group is the only realtor that I will ever use in the Bay Area. Zaid was responsive, listened to what we wanted, and was transparent and honest. His reputation helped get out bid selected. When it came time to sell our house, Zaid recommended a few strategies and we listened and we are so happy. Our house sold with 10 offers, in less than a week, and with 130k over asking. The closing was very easy and we knew that Zaid and his team were handling everything. We never worried. My wife and I originally contacted Zaid’s team through Yelp after being referred to them by one of our good friends (who also had many good things to say and purchased their home through Zaid’s team). Being 1st-time homebuyers, we really had no idea what we needed to do or exactly how to go about it. Zaid got right back to us within the hour and we set up a virtual call the same night. He also brought in another agent, Derek, who is a pleasure to work with and absolutely made the whole process stress-free and even fun. Fantastic experience: I started working with Hanna Group mid June 2020. A first time buyer myself, I have zero to nothing knowledge about the process. I had initial call with Hanna Group, they inform me about the process, helped me with a pre-approval and helped me get the process started. They had the utmost patience and care in the process of house hunting and later when I chose the property I was buying they were wonderfully helpful with writing the offer and explaining every piece of it to me. They advised me the entire process with the best options and made my decision making very stress-free. Fantastic experience: We've worked with Sushanta at the Hanna Group twice so far, for our first home and now our second. Both times were amazing. Sushanta has such a great attention to detail, and she really knows her way around the market. She puts an emphasis on making sure her clients purchase the right home, not just any home. Late in our first search, after countless fruitless open house visits, we were ready to put in an offer far above asking for a beautiful but tiny condo, but Sushanta put on her experienced agent hat and convinced us that we would regret vastly overpaying. We submitted a lower offer that was rejected, and the condo ended up selling for even more than our original offer. As Sushanta expected, this was a huge blessing in hindsight because we later found and closed on a much larger condo in a much better location for essentially the same price that we originally were going to pay for the first one. When the time came for us to make the jump to a single family home, we immediately knew we wanted to work with Sushanta again. This time around, she came through same as before despite the world going through Covid-19. We found the perfect home early on in our search, and let her know that that we definitely wanted it but could not pay the asking price. Knowing that, she did her homework, took our offer to the seller, and started to work her negotiation magic. Next thing we know, our offer was accepted, and we had our new home! We're expecting to stay in our new home for a while since it really is the perfect home for us. But, if/when we decide we have another real estate need, we will definitely be going straight back to Sushanta.
