My wife (a physician moving to the Chicago area) and I had a great experience with Mike during our initial visit to Chicago. He started us off with a very informative tour of the different neighborhoods and suburbs to learn more about the area, and was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He kept us appraised of good options and fits throughout the process as we decided on commiting to coming to the Chicago region, and regularly touched base. He provided FaceTime walk throughs and quality checks for us which was extremely helpful given we were looking remotely. When we made the decision to move ahead looking for houses seriously, he set up a visit with us to look at different properties. We decided to put in an offer on a house and he was incredibly helpful during that process of offer, attorney review, and subsequent details. He is very well connected and respected in the region, which really helped us in our negotiations with the sellers. He also has a law background, which we came in use during this process. Mike went above and beyond after we committed on the house, helping coordinate with us to find contractors, painters, etc as we were not familiar with the area. Overall, we cannot recommend him enough, and will definitely be working with him in the future if we decide to change properties.

(He even jumpstarted our car for us once when it died in the driveway during a showing!) This wasn't the easiest process because not only were we trying to sell our home to potential buyers but also negotiating with our relocation company. Mike was excellent throughout this process. He did everything possible working with our relocation company to make it an easy process for us even though it wasn't so easy for him! We couldn't be happier that we chose Mike and it should be a no brainer for anyone else either moving to the area or wanting to list their home currently residing in the Glen Ellyn area. One last thing, he was a VERY good negotiator. Save yourself some anxiety and money and use Mike!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I initially wanted to build a new house but were having a problem finding a lot. The builder recommended we work with Mike Wolson to help find the right lot. Before we did anything Mike conducted a very thorough interview process with us. Mike found several options for us but we could not decide. Finally Mike suggested we look at existing homes. We were skeptical at first because we wanted to newer ranch with vaulted ceilings and open floor plan in a quiet neighborhood and we had been looking for three years. We also had a restricted area in which to look. Mike showed us several options. We finally found the perfect house with the added bonus of being 4 blocks from our son and his family. We recommend Mike for several reasons. First he is the consummate professional. We loved our old house but just needed to down size. Our worst nightmare was selling our old house without having a place to go. Mike understood and was extremely patient. He did not push to have us sign a contract on our old house and he also promised to let us out of any deal with him if we were not happy. He showed us tons of new houses until we found the right one. It was a difficult negotiation with the seller backing out twice but we stayed with it and finally got our perfect house. Then we put our house on the market and it sold the first night for over asking price. Who could ask for more. One more thing I should mention is Mike doesn't tell you just what he thinks you want to hear. During our decision process on our new house I had one concern with the house. He did not gloss it over. He coached us that we had to be able to deal with it or else we should walk away. He was more concerned about us making the right decision than him getting the sale. I liked that a lot. We would strongly recommend Mike .

Fantastic experience: We met Mike at an Open House in Glen Ellyn. We had not been working with a realtor and he became "ours" at this open house! He was very knowledgeable about the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area (our preferred location) and truly listened to what we were looking for in our new home. He was very responsive after each call we made to him...he even dropped what he was doing on a Saturday evening to show us a home we passed by earlier in the day and wanted to see. He showed us a number of homes and after each showing asked what we liked, what we didn't. We discussed options to build on vacant lots, rehabbing, etc. and after a few months we finally found our new home -- Mike helped us to negotiated a great price. Since we have moved in, he has checked in a number of times to see how we are settling in. We sold our home by owner and he even came by and told us what we needed to do to stage our home it to sell...never, ever asking for us to list with him. Mike is a great guy and true professional!
