Jennifer Gurnell was able to secure a conttact on the house from a qualified buyer in just 48 days! Keep in mind this was during the holidays and this very cold, snowy winter. Jennifer has also secured a very competent attorney we are using for the closing. We have not had to do a thing. Jennifer and her team are not only extremely competent. Fantastic experience: Jennifer Gurnell went above and beyond to sell my mom’s house in Old Saybrook during a highly emotional time for our family. She was knowledgeable and wonderfully communicative throughout, and I especially loved her direct approach and the fact that we could go to her with questions and concerns at any time during the process. She also showed great kindness and compassion toward my mom who was dealing with some health issues at the time and needed additional support. As I live far away, we had to rely on Jennifer for a LOT - and she didn’t bat an eye about any of it. Jennifer also knew exactly who to call to help us get ready for the opening, from painters, to plumbers, to someone who could haul things to the dump and Goodwill. Every person she sent our way was highly competent, responsive, and very pleasant to work with. And of course there’s the bottom line: my mom’s house sold in about three days — and she got exactly the price we were hoping for.

She guided us to get top dollar for the home (the final sales price is 17% above what another very experienced realtor told us to expect). She did an excellent job with all the realtor duties - writing a great listing, timing things just right, promoting the home, and guiding us on the list price. She also went way above and beyond the role a typical realtor plays - helping coordinate things like dump runs, minor repairs, and cleaning services. She even provided emotional support when it was needed. Jennifer was very hands on and we truly could not have done this without her. Three of us were involved in the process (the homeowner and 2 family members who were assisting in the process). She helped keep us all in the loop every step of the way.
