We found the online portal to be very user friendly and allowed us to quickly collaborate with Paddy on which homes we wanted to tour or discuss. Paddy patiently and expertly guided us through the buying process of our home at the end, where we exchanged hundreds of questions, texts, and emails. His experience lent itself to quickly resolving these questions and also aided us in securing extra value that we wouldn’t have known to explore. We found the open home touring process to be very easy and smooth. Paddy always had time for us when we had one home we wanted to see or a handful to see. We would discuss a list of homes with Paddy and he would do the necessary coordination to ensure we had access to the homes outside of a general open house. This made for a very expedient home touring process, where as a group we could walk through the homes, talk through potential issues, and discuss future improvements. Paddy’s background in construction and home building was invaluable with the home touring process. He helped us understand which issues with the houses were critical and which were actually more minor in nature. We could talk through potential enhancements and improvements, understanding what was feasible and what was not, which helped us narrow our home search. Paddy truly had our best interests at heart. He never pressured us into making an offer, and he was equally dedicated to ensuring we didn't settle on a home that wasn't the right fit. Paddy truly wants to help you find the right home. He takes the time to understand what you're looking for and accordingly makes recommendations on neighborhoods and homes. We looked at many different homes and Paddy was extremely patient and supportive with the entire process. We will be reaching out to Paddy again if we find ourselves moving again (we found a perfect home, so I don’t think that’ll be any time soon). It was not our first home purchase, but it was our first home purchase together as a couple. We didn't realize how our taste and needs differed from one another. She likes things that have "character" - in her words - and I prefer a more modern design and amenities. That coupled with the low inventory and rising rates made the experience challenging. Our search parameters were fairly broad and locations beyond the core Lamorinda area. Eric was patient and accommodating with our broad focus and shared new listings, and provided prompt feedback on places of interest and that we had visited. He was diligent about pulling disclosures and connecting with selling agents to gauge level of interest and strategize on potential approaches based on interest and specific location / market. This time the sellers were a bit more challenging but Brittany took the time to manage expectations and was in constant communication between their agent and our lender. She is beyond responsive, even after we moved in to ensure that the transition went smoothly. We are so appreciative of her professionalism and attention to our asks! We also sold our house that we purchased 5 years ago with Paddy. Since then we used his thoughtful expertise to make certain improvements to the home over the years that added tremendous value. We had some unique circumstances when selling that Paddy was able to sort out timely. His staging team also did a phenomenal job and quickly too. Compass has a concierge service to front the costs for presale improvements with no interest or fees so it's hassle free. It just gets deducted from proceeds of the home afterwards. There was a very clear timeline of all the events from improvements, cleaning, photography, marketing etc. Communication was clear and would go through them again in a heartbeat. Not only did he do everything he could as our realtor, but also he went above and beyond to help us to make our house extremely presentable for the open house. For example, one afternoon he used his pickup truck to buy wood chips then delivered it to my house, after that he helped with what my gardener didn't even want to do under the scorching sun, laying the wood chips down all the tough spots where weren't previously covered. Negative experience: We had a horrible experience purchasing our first home with the agent - Brittany Hogan under Paddy Kehoe Team. First, she provided lots of bogus facts about "appraisal", like how purchase price almost never "goes under appraisal value", provided an offer range NOT supported by market comparables at all. In the end, we had to scramble to put together funds to make up for the appraisal shortfall. Not only that, she completely downplayed the negative impact when seller disclosed there could be "development" next door, when we raised up the concern. Now we have 1+ year of construction noise looking forward to and all our privacy completely invaded even after the house is built, all thanks to her! Hiring the Paddy Kehoe team & Brittany Hogan to buy our first house was the worst decision I've ever made in my life. Needless to say, I'll tell everybody I know to stay away from them.

Fantastic experience: We've had the pleasure of working with Paddy twice now. The first was in 2011 when he helped us buy a beautiful home in Walnut Creek, the second time was in 2019 when he helped us sell that same home when we were moving. Working with Paddy as a buyer we found him very hard-working and patient. We looked at dozens of homes over months (we were picky), and Paddy never pressured us during the process. We were able to take our time and choose a home we really loved. The decision to sell the home when we were moving away from the area was a hard one, and Paddy initially urged us to consider not selling, even though that would mean him losing out on the business opportunity. Once we decided that selling was the right decision, Paddy did quite a bit of research to price the home just right, urging us not to over-price the property at risk of turning away buyers. He also organized painting the property, fixing up the yard, and staging everything. The house really showed well when he had it ready. The first weekend of open houses we received 6 offers, 2 of them at $100K over asking. He walked us through the offers and the merits of each, we chose one, and 30 days later we closed without any issues. I'd rate Paddy 6 stars if I could and would work with him again in a heartbeat. He's honest, patient, and super knowledgable.

Fantastic experience: Back in August, 2019, my husband and I hired Paddy Kehoe to handle the sale of our home in Lafayette, California. We chose Paddy in part because of the great reviews, but it was meeting him in person that really convinced us.
