Negative experience: Idk where to begin with this realtor On may 4th my girlfriend and I went to view an apartment near a hospital in rego-park queens,NY one of there associates named SHIRLEY who showed us the apartment. I had stated to her I had a "cityfheps" voucher it's like section-8 mind you all this was "recorded" well within 2 weeks of back n forth with E-mails, text messages,calls with my housing specialist who was the director Everything was handed in my housing specialist calls me on may 11th at 2pm and says me I would get an answer within a week well it was long because at 2:54pm same day Shirley calls me and stats that she spoke to the sponsor or management as she claimed had said that I was getting the apartment we would sign the next day for a lease Being so overwhelmed with joy I was taken out to dinner to celebrate well as friday came I signed my one-shot deal with my specialist and waited for Shirley to call Well she did but now Shirley tells me I didn't get the apartment I was so confused because I swore she told me yes so she tells me this in her own words "Joseph, there are 30% of unit in this building are given to DHS as affordable units, Reida will check the address of the building from the DHS system, and you could apply through DHS" This is source income DISCRIMINATION I suffered a loss of my civil rights, and economic and emotional harm assuming Shirley would cooperate as a professional she would help well she hasn't so now I'm forced to file a lawsuit I hope anyone who has been through this just like me to please take a stand
