Our comment from ImmoNetwork about Edgewater Park Owners Co-Op:
A Welcoming Community Spirit
The Edgewater Park Owners Co-Op is frequently described by residents and visitors as a tight-knit, small community where neighborliness shines. Many long-term residents express deep affection for the area, noting that they have never loved living anywhere else. The atmosphere is characterized by friendly interactions, with many people greeting strangers warmly and offering helpful information, creating a sense of belonging that is rare in larger urban settings.
The community is often praised for its quiet and clean environment, making it an excellent location for those seeking a peaceful retreat while still being part of a neighborhood. Residents highlight the beauty of the area, which remains appealing year-round, and value the strong sense of community where people look out for one another.
Convenient Amenities and Scenic Location
Living at Edgewater Park offers more than just housing; it provides access to a charming local ecosystem. The on-site deli is a standout feature, noted for being well-stocked and offering tasty food options. The location is blessed with scenic bay views, a cement boardwalk, and attractive bungalows, contributing to its unique character.
The area also features specific recreational and communal amenities that enhance the lifestyle. These include private outdoor full-court basketball facilities, planting gardens, and a volunteer fire department, all of which contribute to the unique, small-town feel within the larger city context. The proximity to a beautiful Veterans' Park adds to the appeal for outdoor enthusiasts.
Professional On-Site Support
While the community aspects are highly valued, the operational side is supported by a dedicated administrative team. Clients specifically mention staff members such as Jennifer, Eileen, and Grace as being consistently helpful and friendly at the main office. This personal touch in the leasing and management offices helps maintain the welcoming atmosphere from the first interaction, ensuring that prospective residents feel guided and cared for.
Considerations for Prospective Residents
Prospective buyers and renters should be aware that Edgewater Park is an exclusive, co-op style community. It is described as expensive, with strict admission criteria, meaning it is not a place just anyone can access. The environment is noted for being quiet and small, which some may find cramped, and parking is limited. Additionally, the community has a distinct demographic and cultural homogeneity, which long-time residents appreciate but may not suit everyone seeking diversity.

Negative experience: They send co-op security guards to hand out $75 tickets. It should be illegal. If you’re comfortable being micromanaged and fined by the board’s private security then welcome to Edgewater.
Fantastic experience: The board is letting the lawyer control them the lawyer is not the for community he is a very disrespectful lawyer and does not care about the community and the edgewater people he will throw anybody of edgewater community under the bus just to get paid by edgewater a salary. Edgewater get together and get rid of this lawyer find a lawyer that is fair on both party
Negative experience: I grew up in Edgewater Park and thinking back I totally regret it. People Edgewater Park like to gossip and talk about other people in the neighborhood. they like being nosy and sticking their noses in other people's business. I consider Edgewater Park to be a real cesspool of a neighborhood.
Fantastic experience: Nice place to live
Fantastic experience: Jennifer, Eileen and Grace are ALWAYS so helpful and friendly at the main office for Edgewater!
Fantastic experience: Great place to live. Very quiet and small community.
Fantastic experience: This where I lived for the last 7 years, it's beautiful year 'round. The people are friendly and neighborly.
Negative experience: My friend lives there with her family. I don't think its very diverse. I'm not white. When driving down the street, even though I'm halfway down a block, I have to reverse to let the white couple in their vehicle come through first. I'm respectful because I do not live there and don't want problems.
Fantastic experience: Nice place! The deli is well stocked and the food looks tasty.
Fantastic experience: I lived here for 15 years and never loved living anywhere else more. I unfortunately had to move for personal reasons but miss it every day. Hello to everyone in EP!

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to Thank the good citizens of Edgewater Park for the way they treated me, yesterday. It is a private community and I walked in without an appointment, reservation or announcement. After working the overnight shift at my Trauma Hospital in Brooklyn, and knowing better then most, that tomorrow is never promised to anyone. After two years, of wanting to visit, I finally drove to Edgewater Park, with it's Bay views, cement Boardwalk, Bungalows, Volunteer Fire Department, Planting Gardens, Nice Deli. Private outdoor Full Court with nets. Yes, Basketball ! Everyone said Hello to this Scrubs wearing stranger. I met a nurse also fighting this plague. Veterans like myself. There's a Beautiful Veteran 's Park adjacent to EP. I got a Hi, from a nice man waiting for warmer weather to take dip in the Bay. A lady making crafts, friendly Dogs, a Cool Black Cat with a White Goatee. I met a Gentleman name Jimmy who resembled Papa Hemingway, he was painting his waterfront deck's wooden fence White, while smoking his Cigar. He said the White paint kept the birds at bay. He welcomed me, with a warm Hello, a history lesson about the place, how to get to the leasing office, where available home were listed. He said get a home here and all this will be welcomed to You. He said it in a inviting way that made me feel warm inside, like, there is still Hope. Hope, for Kindness, Better Days and Great moments in this those days. -Angel Cruz
Positive experience: Narrow streets and interesting place. A definite must visit if you are into the peculiarities of small isolated neighborhoods of nyc

Fantastic experience: Best place to be a kid growing up.
Negative experience: It's a very cramped bungalow colony gone coop. Not great living space.
