Fantastic experience: Great relator! Fast, responsive and efficient.

Negative experience: Our experience at this property on Tevis Street was extremely concerning and poorly handled. After the lease ended, rent continued to be accepted. On March 5, we submitted written notice to vacate due to serious ongoing issues in the neighborhood, including unsafe and unsanitary yard conditions that made the property unsuitable for children. Based on prior verbal communication, we were told that moving out slightly before the end of April would not be an issue, especially since March rent had already been paid in full. After this, the situation changed. What was initially communicated verbally was later contradicted in writing the very next day, and we were then told we would owe additional rent for April despite already planning and completing our move-out. We still vacated the property, returned possession, and fully moved out about a week before April, leaving the home unoccupied during that period. Despite leaving the property in excellent condition and consistently paying rent on time (often early), our security deposit was withheld with “damages” cited, which we strongly disagree with. Overall, communication was inconsistent and expectations were changed after agreements had already been made. There was also a clear difference in behavior depending on the situation—presenting as polite and accommodating when things were normal, but showing a very different attitude when money or disputes were involved, which raised serious concerns about credibility and trust. We strongly recommend that future tenants ensure all agreements are fully documented in writing and confirmed clearly, as verbal agreements were not honored consistently in our experience.

Negative experience: Extremely frustrating experience on Tevis St. After the lease expired, rent continued to be accepted with no renewal or termination notice, creating a month-to-month tenancy. We gave written notice on March 5 and was told that moving out a few days before April would not be an issue. We relied on that and made my move-out arrangements, even though March was already fully paid. Afterward, the landlord (Kalyan) reversed position in writing and attempted to hold us responsible for April rent anyway. This kind of backtracking after a tenant relies on what was communicated is unacceptable. We vacated early, returned possession, and complied with all move-out requirements. The property was left in excellent condition( we have all photos) yet deductions were still pursued over minor issues, and the handling of the security deposit was unreasonable in my view, for normal wear and tear. Typical scam. There were also ongoing concerns with the surrounding environment , including neighbors not maintaining their property, which contributed to the decision to leave. In addition, there was a lack of clarity regarding whether the individual was acting strictly as a realtor/property manager or had a direct ownership interest, which made the process feel less transparent than it should have been. Very shady. Overall, communication was inconsistent, expectations were changed after the fact, and the move-out and deposit process felt unfair. Get everything in writing and be very cautious before renting here.
